Another happy weekend blog post!

Hello, my bucket list, friends! It is time for another post about another weekend. I did work both days this weekend, but since I enjoy my work, it is fine with me. However, I am going to include Friday in this post, and I did have that day off. With that said, let’s get to it!

Friday – As I mentioned above, I did not have work on this day. I ended up staying home all day except for going on a walk to see my neighbor’s ponies. It turns out that they are both ponies! I thought the bigger one was a horse, but now I know for sure that they are both ponies! We gave them carrots and they were very happy about that. I also published a blog post about my job on Friday. ( You can read it HERE) It was a nice relaxing day off.

Saturday – I worked the opening shift on this day. I did have time before work for two of my favorite things, and those things are coffee and thrift shopping. I went to Starbucks, and I did a mobile order like I normally do. However, it was very busy in Starbucks that morning, and it took a little while to get my order, but that was fine. I still had time to go to a local thrift shop before work. At the thrift store, I started in the book section where I got three American Girl books. In the toy section, I got this really cool Crayola activity kit. The other things I got during this thrift shopping trip are a pair of coke a cola sunglasses, a sticker puzzle activity set, a craft punch shaped like a sea horse, and a pen holder.I was happy with my thrift finds for the day. After thrift shopping, I walked to work. I love being at work. I work at an indoor plant store and it is a relaxing place to be. During my break from work, I walked down to the candy store, and I got a small bag of bulk candy, Later on that evening, I went to the store and got some yummy food! It was a good day!

Sunday – On Sunday, I worked the closing shift. I started the day off by getting coffee and a donut and going to church. After church, I had some time before my work started, so I went back home for a while. During work, I went to the candy store again on my break. After work, I got some Kinder Joy eggs at Walgreens. It was a good way to end the weekend.

Thanks for reading about my weekend!

Paint + Pez +pasta = my weekend!

Hello, my bucket list, friends! It is time for another weekend blog post! I’m including Friday in this weekend blog post as I do with a lot of my weekend blog posts. Without any more introduction, let’s get to it!

Friday – I didn’t go anywhere on Friday unless walking outside in the rain counts. However, on Friday evening, I got to eat pizza, and I had been craving pizza. I also decided to do a Breyer horse art kit that I had. It was hard to open the paints in the kit, and I wish that they had been a wider variety of colors included. The colors that came with the kit were black, brown, and white. It makes sense because those are realistic colors when it comes to horses, but it was kind of hard to paint with just those colors. When I was done, my horse looked like he had been rolling in the mud, which is something horses do, so I chose to name him Muddy!

Saturday – The first activity I did on Saturday was going on a nice walk during a break in the rain. Even though everything was wet, it was still nice to get out and walk. After that, my mom and I went into town to do some errands. We went to Pet Co, and they were doing cat adoptions there. I enjoyed seeing all the super cute kittens! We also went to Starbucks and Safeway. Starbucks is always a highlight for me. However, my favorite part of this day was going to Safeway and getting a new PEZ dispenser! I’ve gotten into collecting PEZ dispensers lately, and I was happy to add another Valentine’s day themed one to my small collection of PEZ dispersers. I also got a vegetarian cup of noodles at Safeway. I ate it that afternoon, and I had way too much fun taking pictures with the noodles! It was a pretty good day.

Sunday – I stayed home all day on Sunday. I stayed in my pajamas and relaxed most of the day. However, I did publish a short story on vocal media for a contest they are having. ( You can read it HERE) It took me a while to write, and I’m really happy how it turned out. That evening, I made some super yummy rainbow pasta it was the perfect way to end the weekend.

Thanks for reading about my weekend! I hope you are having a wonderful week!

One weekend two years

Hello, my bucket list, friends! This is one of those what I did on my weekend posts, but  this weekend is a little different. Due to January first being on Sunday, this weekend was split into two years, which is kind of fun if you think about it. Since I did something fun on Friday, I decided to include Friday in my weekend post. Without any more introduction, let’s get this post started!

Friday – On Friday the 30th, I had work, but of course, before work, I went to Starbucks to get my before work coffee. Then, it was time to work. Work went well, and I was excited when my shift was over because after work, I was going to the Dollar Tree! I had not been to the Dollar Tree recently, so I was excited to shop at one of my favorite stores. The main purpose of my trip was to get some things for my friends’ Christmas gift. Of course, I also wanted to see what fun things I could find for myself as well. I was very happy with the items that I found for myself and for my friend. Some of the items I got for myself included two Disney bracelet kits, a Barbie activity pack, a wooden craft kit, and a hair bow. This quick shopping trip was a good way to start my weekend.

Saturday –  Saturday was the last day of 2022, and I had some plans to end the year with some fun! One of the most fun things you can do at any time of the year is to have a sleepover with your friend! It can be hard to find time to spend with your friends so it was really special that my friend and I were both available for a two night sleepover. The fun started when I met my friend at Target. We wanted to get snacks for our New Year’s celebration. Target is one of my favorite stores, so I was excited to see what fun things I could get  in addition to snacks for our sleepover. I was happy to see the selection of Valentine’s Day items that they had already. I got some fun Valentine’s Day items, including heart-shaped hair clips, a duck toy that says love on it, a heart-shaped Slinky, and a Valentine’s themed Pez dispenser I also got a cute plush cat that has a clip on it. I may put it on my purse. This Target has a Starbucks inside of it, so we stopped there and got coffee on the way out. When we got to my friends house we decided to go on a walk while there was a break in the rain. It had been raining pretty hard that day .Our walk went well but it started raining again. The rest of the day was relaxing. we watched TV, had dinner and snacks, and we stayed awake past midnight. It was a lot of fun to welcome in the new year with my wonderful friend by my side. I was very happy with how I ended 2022 and started 2023!

Sunday – We got off to a great start on Sunday by going to breakfast and then church. After a great church service, we went to Starbucks. Then it was time to make some food deliveries so we could start off the new year with a little extra money. We also went to two parks during the day. I had fun on the playgrounds even though I fell down after jumping off of one of the pieces of play equipment. My friend got that moment on video, and I posted it on my Instagram. ( My username is summerrockstar if you want to see it) We also went to the Dollar Tree. I got a few things at the Dollar Tree, and those things that I got are socks, two surprise packs that have five toys in each pack, and a package of  highlighters. speaking of high lights, we also got sandwiches. Then we had a relaxing night. It was a really great weekend!

Thank you for reading and Happy new year!

Work, Christmas lights and shopping fun including Savers

Hello, my bucket list friends! It is that time again! That’s right it is time for another blog post about what I did over the weekend. I’m happy to say that I did go shopping at Savers because it felt like a really long time since I had last been. I also went shopping at one of my favorite local business. I can’t wait to tell you all about it so let’s get to it!

Friday – I had work on Friday but before work I went to Petco and Starbucks because my cat Cooper needed wet food. The good thing about Cooper needing wet food was that Petco is right next to Starbucks. I love going to Starbucks and it was the perfect way to start my day. This Friday was the day after Thanksgiving it is also known as black Friday. Meaning that it is one of the busiest shopping days of the year. The store got busy at times but it was a pretty normal day overall. After work I walked to the candy store where I got a Pez dispenser and a tube of candy that had a toy monkey on top I also got a can of mineral water from the brand Liquid Death. I got the lime flavor it’s my favorite flavor in that brand. After the candy store I went home and had a normal night at home.

Saturday- I did have work on Saturday. However before work my mom and I went to Starbucks , went on a nice walk at the park and then I went shopping at one of my favorite local toy stores. This is a different toy than the one that’s close to my work. I love this toy store a lot. I was happy to find some fun items on this shopping trip. I got two blind bags that have Breyer horses in them. I also got a Breyer Horse that was not in a blind bag. I was happy to see that the toy store had a lot of fun Christmas items. I got a Snowman ring and a cute chipmunk plush I also got some stickers as well but they weren’t Christmas themed. I was very happy with my little toy store haul. After that I went to work and had a good day working. After work I went to Safeway where I got a cupcake with rings on top. It was a great day!

Sunday – On this day I had the day off. I had one thing that I really wanted to do and that thing was to go shopping at Savers. I love going to Savers but it had been a while since I had gone there. Before Savers I we did make a stop at Starbucks. When we got to Savers I went to the toy section to look for Barbie dolls. There was not a large selection of dolls available however I did end up choosing three dolls including one Barbie that I believe is from the 70’s or 80’s. After that I went to look in some of other parts of the toy section including the plush animals. I wasn’t finding anything thing else that I wanted to add to my collection. Then in the game section I found a Candy Land game that was in a collector’s tin. Candy Land is one of my favorite board games. After that I found some more thing to add to my cart including a Full House book, a Candy Fairies book, three toy horses and a American Girl board game. I went back in looked in the toy section again and I’m glad I did because that is when I found some of the items I mentioned above. I’m happy to say that I got a Build a Bear that is supposed to also work as a speaker. I did not find this bear in the toy section I actually found this bear in a bin of go backs. I asked a nearby employee if the items the the bin where available and I was very happy when I found out that they were. I named my new Build a Bear Musical. I also got a cute sweatshirt from Old Navy. After Savers I got a gift card for a neighbor’s dog because were we going to a birthday party for the dog. The party was a lot of fun I loved seeing a bunch of the neighborhood dogs. After the dog party it was time to start putting up our outdoor Christmas lights. We made a lot of progress and our lights already look amazing. I love all of our candy cane shaped lights. It was a really good weekend!

I hope all of you enjoy your week!

Coffee,crayons,Walgreens  and more

Hello, my bucket list friends and welcome to another weekend blog post !!! This weekend was pretty average but it did have some fun moments. I can’t wait to tell you about it so let’s get to it.

Friday- Friday was a pretty normal day. However I did have a few highlights including getting a visit from my neighbor’s dogs. My favorite part of the day was getting Starbucks before work. I love the Christmas themed cups this year they are so fun. Work went well then I went home and that is how my Friday went.

Saturday- I had work but not until mid afternoon so I had time to do some things before work. The first  thing I did was to print out some Crayola coloring pages and activities. I started doing one of the coloring pages but I didn’t have time to finish it because I had some things to do in town before I went to work. The first thing we did was to go and get coffee at Starbucks of course. Then it was off to our favorite park to walk at. The park was busier than it has been but we still enjoyed our walk. The weather was really nice so I’m guessing that is why there were more people there. After the park we went to Whole foods. I shopped quickly because I needed to be at work soon. My favorite things that I got on my quick shopping trip were a box of one of my favorite fruit snacks that comes with collectible cards. I also got two large candy canes and one of them was strawberry flavored. After that I went to work and it went well. When work was over I went to Walgreens. I need to get conditioner because what I had at home was not working well for my hair. In addition getting conditioner I was excited to go look at the Christmas section again. I ended up getting a pop toy shaped like a mitten and two plush dogs that sing when a button is pressed. I also got some snacks and of course the conditioner. It wasn’t a super exciting day but it was a pretty good day.

Sunday- I had the day off on Sunday. I didn’t go anywhere except for on a walk. However I did have Starbucks delivered to the house. I was really craving it so I decided just to splurge and spend the money to have a delivered. I also got a snowman cookie along with my coffee. Yes, it was expensive to have it delivered but I’m happy I did it. Another thing I did on Sunday was to put up more padding in my studio. I’ve been very slow at getting my voice acting career rolling however I’m happy with the progress that I made yesterday. Another fun thing I did was to watch and play along with an interactive Barbie movie on Netflix. It Was fun to see what would happen with different choices. I kind of want to do it again to see how different I can make it. The first time I tried it I accidentally made a mistake and got sent back to the beginning. However when I tried again I really like the way things turned out. I know Netflix has a few interactive movies and maybe I should try another one.

Thanks for reading my post about this weekend! I hope you all have blessed weeks.

This weekend put me in a Christmas state of mind

Hello, my bucket list friends! Another weekend has gone by so it is time for another post about my weekend. This Post however has a little bit of a theme. I know it’s not even Thanksgiving yet but I’m in a Christmas state of mind! My weekend kind of ended up having a Christmas theme to it. I’m already looking forward to the Christmas fun that is going to be coming my way next month. Without any more delay let’s get to my Christmas themed weekend.

Friday – I had work on Friday but before that I went and got Starbucks. I got one of the Christmas themed cups. Starbucks is also in a Christmas state of mind. After Starbucks I went in to work. I really enjoy my work now so my days are much happier then they were before. I now work at Urban Remedy and they have amazing food. They are worth checking out if your are looking for some healthy and yummy food. After work I went to Walgreens. I had a big project that I was working on and I needed to get some items for it. My church participated in Operation Christmas Child this year. If you have never heard of Operation Christmas Child, Let me give you a quick explanation. Basically you are giving a child a shoebox full of Christmas presents. You chose a gender and age range and then fill the box with items with that in mind. I put together three shoe boxes. I needed to get some more items for the boxes so that was my main reason for going to Walgreens. I also got some items for myself while I was there. The Christmas section at Walgreens was full of fun items. I got a plush reindeer, a gingerbread man toy, and a art kit. I’m happy to say that I got many great items for the shoe boxes. This little shopping trip was a great way to start the weekend.

Saturday – I did have work on Saturday but I did have some time before work to get Starbucks and go for a walk in the park. The park that we have been walking at lately has become one of my favorites because it has a playground it is usually not very busy. While I was at work I tried the Sour Patch Kids popcorn that I got at Five Below. I will make a post reviewing the popcorn but I will say that I did like it. On my lunch break at work I walked to a toy store. I’m so happy that I work with in walking distance to a toy store now. Toy stores are something that definitely go well with Christmastime. This toy store was in a Christmas State of mind right along with me. They were many Christmas items available however the items I ended up getting were not Christmas themed. One of the items I got could be considered a Christmas item because it would make a really good stocking stuffer. It was something that I don’t remember seeing before. It’s called Play Foam Pals. It is a container of play foam with a toy hidden inside. I also got some stickers and two animal shaped erasers. That night after work I opened up the play foam and saw that there was a penguin inside. I’m happy that I went to the toy store on my lunch break because it became the highlight of my day.

Sunday – Sunday was another work day for me. I Started my day just like I did the day before. We got coffee then went on a walk at the same park. After that I went to work and I had a good day. It was a shorter shift so I didn’t have a lunch break. However, after work my mom and I went to Safeway to pick up a few things. Safeway had their Christmas items displayed in different areas of the store. In the frozen food isle I was surprised to see the Barbie Color reveal advent calendar. It looked similar to last year’s advent calendar so I had to look it up and make sure it was a different one. Once I saw that it was I decided to get it. Once I got it down from the top on the freezer I saw that there was a different Barbie advent calendar behind it. It took me a little bit but I decided to get the color reveal advent calendar that I had originally saw. It was truly a good way to end the weekend.

Thank for reading about my weekend! I hope you had a wonderful and that you have beautiful week!

my weekend highlights Hot Wheels color reveal , a Starbucks food review, voting, and a vegan burrito

Hello, my bucket list friends! It is time for another blog post where I talk about my weekend. This post does include a food review and a toy review. However overall it was a pretty normal weekend. I did work both weekend days but I like my new job so it’s all good. without anymore introduction let’s get to it.

Friday – After work on Friday night, I went to Safeway because I was low on food at home. While I was there I was happily surprised. I saw that they had Hot Wheels color reveal on sale for a really good price. I had only gotten Barbie color reveal before so I thought that this would be fun to try. The rest of the night I just relaxed at home I didn’t stay up very late becuse I had work the next day.

Saturday – I had to be into work at noon but before that I had some things I wanted to do. The first thing was going to Starbucks. I’m so happy that peppermint mochas are back for the season! I also thought it would be fun to do a food review on one of their seasonal items. I had ordered the item I wanted to review the first day it was available but they had already sold out for the day by the time I ordered it. The item I’m talking about is the new chocolate pistachio swirl. After trying it on Saturday, I can see why it sold out quickly. It was so good. It was warm, comforting and flavorful. Definitely a must try if you are a fan of chocolate and nuts together. I highly recommend giving this new item a try. After a wonderful trip to Starbucks, my mom and I went to vote. I like that we have a location near by that let’s us vote early so we can avoid the election day crowds. We walked right in with no wait, voted , and went on our way after getting I voted stickers of course. I put my sticker on top of my Starbucks cup. When all that was finished we still had some time before I had to be at work. We went on a walk around the area where my work is. We stopped at a near by toy store where I got a cute duck toy. I don’t think I had ever seen a duck toy that looked like this one. It was super cute and unique so I was excited to buy it, As I write this my duck toy is still in my purse. I don’t know how long I’ll keep it in there for but I do like having it with me. I enjoyed my day at work it was slow sometimes but overall it was a good day. That evening we went to dinner at a neighbor’s house. it was nice to relax, eat, and talk with some great people.

Sunday- I’m going to be honest Sunday started out a little on the stressful side. My phone was not working for some reason and it was not receiving the messages that my work was sending me. Also my coffee order did not go through even though my phone said it did, I had to have my mom drop me off at work before I could get the coffee and of course there was a lot off traffic. I replaced the order for the coffee and then my mom dropped it off to me at work. I got the same thing I did the day before a peppermint mocha and a chocolate pistachio swirl. Yes, I liked Starbucks’s new seasonal baked good so munch that I got it two days in a row. For my lunch I ordered a Vegan burrito from Uber Eats and had it delivered. I don’t get food delivered that often but after looking at all the choices on Uber Eats I may just have to order from them again. After work I went to Safeway again I got a cute scratch off lottery ticket, some yummy food and I also got another color reveal toy but this time I got a Barbie color reveal doll. I had only bought two dolls from the series that this doll was in but they turned out to both be the same one so I thought I would try again by buying a third doll. That night I decided to see not only what doll I got but I also decided to open my first Hot Wheels color reveal toys. One thing I really like about Hot Wheels color reveal is that there are two cars in each container. It was very easy to see what cars I got. I simply took them out of their bags and put them both into the container. Then I put them in the sink and turned the water on. I was happy with the cars I got. However, I did get the same doll three times so I did bother to put my 3rd of the same doll in water. I don’t think I’ll take another chance with this series unless I find it on sale for a really good price.

Thanks for reading about my adventures this weekend!

Just another great weekend in California

Hello, my bucket list friends! In my last post I talked about what I did during my weekdays now it is time to talk about what I did during my weekend. Sometimes I include Friday in these posts but since I already covered Friday in the post I just mentioned ( You can read it HERE) I will only be talking about Saturday and Sunday in this post. Without anymore introduction it is time to get to it!

Saturday – Looking through my pictures of what I did this day I remember that I tried a candy that I got at Whole Foods the day before. I’m going to do a separate post reviewing this item but I will say that it was really good. I’m happy to say that on this day I went to Starbucks and then went for a walk in the park with my coffee, my mom and the neighbor’s dog. It was a very beautiful day and I was  happily surprised to see that the park was not busy. I climbed to the top of the playground and then went down the slide. I posted the video of me going down the slide on my Instagram my user name is summerrockstar if you want to see it. After the park I went to CVS. I love that CVS sells Claire’s products. I got a set of three Claire’s bracelets plus a bunch of other great items including a TY plush toy, a magazine about animals, hair bows, and peppermint candy. After my little shopping spree I waited in the car with the dog while my mom bought birdseed at another store in the shoppingcenter. While I was in the car I posted on BE Real. I took a picture of my new TY plush sitting on the dashboard. I was very happy with my Be Real post for the day. After that it was time to head back home. After relaxing at the house for a while, we went to go visit a family member. On the way there we stopped at a store where I got this super cute gingerbread cookie. It was a pretty great day!

Sunday – This day was pretty relaxed overall however I did do a cute mouse suncatcher craft kit and we also went into town to do some errands. I happy to say that yes these errands included Starbucks. When I went to pick up the drinks that I had ordered at Starbucks, I saw that they had accidently made one of the drinks  I had ordered iced instead of hot. Not only were they super cool about remaking it they let me keep the iced one too.  I’m actually drinking that iced one right now as I write this! Our other errands were Petco, Trader Joes and Safeway. At Trader Joes I got a snack that I had never seen before. I can’t wait to try it and do a review on it and at Safeway I got a cupcake that had three butterfly rings on top! It was a pretty easy going day but I enjoyed it.

Thank you for reading! I hope all of you had great weekends!

My last weekend as a preschool teacher

Hello, my bucket list friends! Today is my last day at work before I officially leave the world of child care. Hopefully this the last day I will have to wake up early for awhile. Before my career officially comes to an end I had one more weekend as someone who had to go back to the world of preschool/childcare on Monday morning. This weekend was pretty normal but it was also pretty nice. On Friday after work I went to Safeway to get a few things. My favorite things that I got at Safeway that day are a pack of 24 candy canes and a Christmas cat coloring book. I know it’s October but I can’t help it. I love Christmas! On Saturday I did one of my favorite activities. I went to Starbucks then I went to a park. At the park I made sure to go down the slide! I like the play structure at this park and it was not crowded at all. After the park I went to a local toy store where I got some horse toys, a craft kit, a pop toy, and a bath bomb style toy that has a sea animal toy hidden inside. I should add that the weather was absolutely beautiful. It did get cold later that day but when I was in town it was really nice. After I came home it was a pretty relaxed day overall. My cat got to spend some time outside that is one of his favorite things to do. Later on in the I made a fun video for Instagram it was windy and cold when I made that video so I went back inside right after recording that video. ( You can see the video on my Instagram page my username is summerrockstar)I also spent sometime playing Project Makeover on my phone I love that game. Sunday was a pretty relaxed day as well. I finally decorated the biggest pumpkin that I got at the pumpkin patch earlier this month. The highlight of my day was going on our normal Sunday errands. I got a snack to review at Trader Joe’s, and I got a big cupcake with three rings on top at Safeway! Oh and before all that I went to Starbucks and got an iced coffee. Later that night I watched the Rookie one of my favorite TV shows. It was a pretty nice and easy weekend.

My weekend! A massage, Target and more!

Hello,my bucket list friends! It is time for another weekend blog post. The weekend was pretty normal but I still enjoyed it. On Friday after work I did something that I really needed to do. I got a massage! I had a lot of tight muscles due to stress and my poor muscles needed some help. The massage place I go to is in the mall. After my massage was finished I went to Claire’s where they were having a 12 items for 12 dollars sale. It was a great deal. After Claire’s I got a pretzel before going home and taking a bath! On Saturday my parents and I left the house earlier then we normally would because we had a voucher for a free dump run. I know it’s so exciting right ? After the dump we went to Target which is truly exciting for me. I found some great things at Target like I normally do. Some of the things I got were stickers, play-doh, a package of beads and some cute socks. However the thing I was most excited about was this self care themed Barbie doll. I’m all about self care so I thought that was really cool. I’m very happy to have this doll in my collection. After going to Target we went to have lunch at El Pollo Loco. It had been a while since I had been there so I was excited to go. After lunch we went back home and I had a pretty low key day relaxing. I did take a bath with bath bombs of course. On Sunday I had my first in person job interview since I put in my two weeks notice at my current job. After my job interview I went to Starbucks I was in need of an iced coffee. I was also in need of a walk because it was such a beautiful day. So my mom and I went on walk on my favorite local trail. After coming home for a while I went back out to run some errands. My favorite place we went during our errands was Trader Joe’s. I got some chocolate peanut butter candy and chocolate covered expresso beans! Later that night I did some work on the area I’m going to being using for my home recording studio! I’m excited to actually get my voice acting career started. Overall it was a decent weekend thanks for reading!
