Another Goodwill adventure

Hello,my bucket list friends! Yesterday I visited one of my favorite places, the Goodwill! Every other Thursday I go with my dad to drop off food at our church. The food is used to help feed the homeless. While my dad gets the food at the store I like to go to the Goodwill nextdoor and see what I can find. On this shopping trip the first thing I found was a bag of horse toys .They were so cute, I just had to take them home. My other finds were a Disney purse, a Build a Bear cat, a Barbie doll still in the box and a snow globe. I’m happy with my finds. What have you found at thrift stores lately?

Barbie color reveal peel !

Hello,my bucket list friends! It’s no secret that I love the Barbie color reveal toys. Recently I decided to get a color reveal product that I had not gotten before. I got a large Barbie color reveal set. This set had a lot more accessories then the dolls that come in the single tubes do. The biggest difference was that with this set is you don’t use water to reveal the doll. You peel off the coating around the doll to see what she looks like. Another difference with this set is you know what doll you are getting. There is a mermaid, unicorn, and fairy set in this series. Each one has its own doll so you know what you are getting when you buy the set. I got the mermaid set because that was the only one available when I was at Target. I did like revealing this doll better then the other sets because no water meant less mess. This set also came with a mermaid pet that you peeled to reveal. I really hope I can get the unicorn set one of these days!

Light Heart bookclub discussion March 2021

Hello, my bucket list friends! I am very happy to say that I finally finished March’s book club book. Our book for March was the chocolate rose by Helen Perelman. This book is part of the candy fairies series. I have enjoyed reading these books a lot. I can’t wait to discuss it with you. As always there is just one more thing. The following post contains major plot points ( Spoilers ) for the book . If you want to read the book and haven’t yet, I suggest you wait to read this post until you have finished the book. Now, let’s get into our discussion!

My favorite part of the book – there was a lot of great parts in this book including a singing unicorn. But my favorite part of the book has to be when Cocoa’s cousin mocha surprises her with a visit while she was in her garden. Not only does she visit her but she gives her encouragement about her garden. I loved reading this happiness-filled part of the book.

My lest favorite part of the book – My least favorite part of the book is when the stage was destroyed. The fairies had worked so hard to build it and it was sad to see all their hard work ruined. However I was happy to see how it all worked out in the end.

Activities – in this book Cocoa Make some beautiful paintings. That end up being used as decoration for the new talent show stage. So I thought the perfect activity to to go along with this book would be to make some paintings of my own. The first painting I did was a candy inspired flower. In the book Cocoa grows a chocolate rose in her garden. I like chocolate but my favorite candy is probably hard candies and lollipops so I made a hard candy inspired flower. For my second drawing I drew some more flowers with clouds over them raining colorful rain. I have a lot of fun doing this activity hopefully I read more books that have painting in them.

Thanks for reading !

Is this how celebrities eat ?

Hello, my bucket list friends! I’ve been meaning to write this post all week. On Sunday I had the best dinner of my life! My family and I went to this restaurant called Grand View. As the name suggests the views are something to write home about! Everything about this restaurant is beautiful. Now, the food somehow managed to be just as good as the veiws. After going over our choices,we decided to do the tasting menu. At first I didn’t think I’d be able to do it because I’m a vegetarian. However the amazing staff members told me that it would be no problem to do the tasting menu for a vegetarian. I was excited to see what food I would get to try. Each course that they brought was a wonderful surprise. This was the fanciest food that I have ever had. It was so amazing! The tasting menu allowed me to try things that I normally wouldn’t order like beats. I felt like an A- list celebrity that night. I couldn’t help but think that this is what celebrities must eat like!

Bucket list #294 Go shopping at the Gilroy Outlets

Hello, my bucket list friends! I’m super happy to say that yesterday I crossed another item off my bucket list. The last time I went to the outlets,a lot of the stores were closed. However this time the stores I wanted to visit were open.My mom and I started our outlet adventure with the Disney store outlet. I’ve been to the Disney store before but not the outlet. They had good deals on a lot of items including some items from the theme parks. My favorite thing that I got was a mouse ear headband that was summer themed. After that we went to Claire’s. This location had a pretty large clearance section I enjoyed looking through all the items especially the ones on sale. I was able to find some really great accessories and one of the best curly straws I’ve ever seen in my life! After those two stores we went to go visit the California welcomeCenter again. I’ve been here once before and I love looking through all the travel brochures that they have. I had a lot of fun crossing this item off my list and I hope to go back to the Gilroy outlets sometime.

Barbie Jewelry box art kit

Hello,my bucket list friends! In my last blog post I mentioned that I got a Barbie jewelry box kit from the 90s at savers. It’s a really unique item and I can’t wait to tell you more about it. When I saw the box sitting on the shelf I was so excited about it! I could tell that the box had been opened before but I still wanted to get this kit. When I opened the kit I saw that it had already been painted. However since the paint was pretty light I knew that I could just paint over it. Most of the paint that came with the kit was used up so I decided to use some of the paint that I had in my room. It turned out pretty great. The kit did come with beads but I don’t think most of the beads that were in the kit were the ones that originally came with the kit. The beads that were in the kit were pretty cool so I was not disappointed. This craft kit was really unique I haven’t seen many that are like it. There are lot of paint your own box kits but haven’t seen any that are similar to this one that I can remember. It was a lot of fun to do a craft kit from the ’90s and it was a great bonus that it was also a Barbie craft kit. Have you found any craft kits from the ’90s while you’ve been thrifting?

My wonderful and amazing trip to Savers!

Hello,my bucket list friends. Yes,I’m back with another post about thrift shopping. As you can probably tell from the title of this post I’m super excited to tell you all about it. On Sunday I went to Savers with my mom. When I go to Savers I look for books first. I did find some great books on this thrift shopping trip including a ghost writer book, American Girl books and a candy fairy book. Then I went over to the toy section where I got two Barbie dolls, two My Little pony toys and two Beanie Babies. When I was looking in the arts craft section I found two different craft kits. The first one was a paint your own trinket box kit that had not been opened. The other one was a Barbie jewelry box kit from the ’90s. I was super excited to have found it. I don’t usually get clothes when I go to Savers because they tend to be more expensive than other thrift stores. However this time I did find a candy cane printed sweatshirt that was super cute and for a good price. I was super happy about this thrift shopping haul and I still am. The Barbie jewelry box that you could paint was my favorite find from this trip and I’m going to write a blog post about painting it soon. You never know what you will find when you go thrift shopping. I wonder what will bey next favorite find!

I went to a Goodwill that I’d never been to before. – while running some errands in an area I don’t visit often, I saw a Goodwill that I hadn’t seen before. The next day after work I went to check it out. It was smaller then the one I have been going to. However it was full of a lot of treasures. I got three more Beanie Babies to add to my collection, a Barbie closet to help me store my doll clothes, a Lion King picture frame, four puzzles in one box,two books and some clothes. My mom found a lot of clothes that she liked. It was a very successful thrift shopping trip.

I went to the Dollar Tree last weekend – I went shopping at Dollar tree last Saturday and I got some really great items including playdough, socks, some toys, and a bunch of other awesome things. Dollar Tree will always be one of my favorite places.

Last night’s dinner – yesterday I went to dinner with my family and my cousin. my cousin showed us a restaurant that we had never been to before. It was really good I had some amazing veggie pizza.

Another adventure with Barbie color reveal!

Hello, my buck list friends! It’s time for another Barbie color reveal post! This time I got two different dolls. One was from a series that I have bought before. The other one was the smaller Chelsea doll. The process to reveal the dolls was as exciting as always. The Chelsea doll came with a really cool rainbow ponytail. And a fun a colorful outfit. As for the Barbie doll. I was really hoping that I wouldn’t get the same one that I already had from this series. I’m happy to say that I didn’t get the same doll that I already had. The doll I got was mainly dressed in blue I got the purple from this series last time. I’m happy with both of these dolls and I hope to get another Chelsea doll soon.
