Dollar Tree shopping fun, book store adventure, and more break time shopping

Hello, my bucket list friends it’s no secret that I love shopping, and lately, I’ve gotten to do a bunch of it! I’m almost done with my Christmas shopping and it feels really good to say that! Anyway I want to tell you about some of my latest shopping adventures including a trip to one of my favorite book stores so let’s get to it!

Local book store – On Friday, I got the chance to visit this interesting book store that sells both used and new books. I’m still working on my goal of reading 50 books this year, and I hope to accomplish it by reading short children’s books. At the book store, I got two Barbie books and one My Little Pony book. I was happy that I was able to get a few books about things that I enjoy.

Dollar Tree – I had been wanting to go to Dollar Tree to check out their Christmas items, and on Saturday, I did just that. I wasn’t able to go to my favorite location that has a really large selection. However, I was overall happy with the items I got at the smaller store. Right away, I saw the Christmas sweater activity pad that came with stickers. After I got that, I got other items in the Christmas section. those items were a cute snowman décor piece, two Christmas craft kits, two small Christmas teddy bears , and some window stickers that I saw at the last minute when I was about to pay. I also got some items that were not in the Christmas section. I was very excited when I saw these little blind bag animals and I was also excited when I found this large Barbie coloring book. I also got a Barbie toothbrush that comes with a toothbrush protector. It was a good trip to the Dollar Tree ! Oh, and I also got soap!

Breaktime shopping – I’ve done so much of this lately that I might just give myself a headache if I tried to say what I bought on what day. Instead, I will just tell you about some of the fun things that I have recently bought. One of my very favorite things that I got is a Squishmallows blanket. It is so soft and cozy! Some of my other favorite recent finds are press on nails that are Christmas themed , a light up snowman spinner toy, a small shopping cart with candy, a TY Beanie Boo, and some Christmas nail files. My work has so many great Christmas items, and I’ve had a lot of fun buying some of them!

My review of Smart Food marshmallow hot cocoa popcorn

Hello, my bucket list friends! I love doing food reviews and when I saw this popcorn at my work I knew I had to try it. I’ll make this short and sweet just like the popcorn itself. This popcorn is amazing! It tastes just like Lucky Charms cereal. I was not expecting it to taste that was but I’m happy it did. It was a very good snack and I would definitely consider buying it again and I highly recommend giving it a try. I do not know how long it will be avaalible for. My recommendation is to buy it as soon as you see it because it is pretty amazing!

Christmas ornament craft kit and a fun trip to Savers !

Hello, my bucket list, friends! I have two fun things to tell you about. The first one is a Christmas painting art kit that I recently finished. The other thing is my latest thrift shopping fun at Savers! Without any more delay, let’s get to it!

Painting ornaments – I got this fun craft kit at work. It comes with four ornaments to paint. I had a fun time painting the ornaments. My favorite ornament is the snowman. I love craft kits like this one, and I’m excited to do more Christmas themed craft kits this year.

Savers – I went to Savers this week. I got three Barbie dolls, some books including Barbie books, jewelry, two craft kits, and more. I was very excited about the two craft kits I got. I was also excited about the three Barbie dolls that I got because this location does not always have a good amount of dolls. There were not very many this time, but I’m happy with the three that I got. I’m also really excited about The books because they will help me reach my reading goal.

Bucket list item in progress!

Hello, my bucket list, friends! I have a nasty cold at the moment, but I’m still working on this one list item that I’m determined to cross off. That item is to read 50 books in a year. I’m halfway there. Since I did not keep up with this goal throughout this year. My strategy has been to read very short children’s books. I’m planning to go to my favorite local thrift store again where the books are very low cost and get more short books since I’ve already read the ones that I got there recently. I’ve been keeping track of my progress on good reads. I’m also close to finishing a longer book that I’ve been slowly reading throughout the year. I’m a pretty slow reader, and I get distracted easily, so reading short books seems to be the best way to cross this item off. I’m going to try to cross off read one hundred in a year in 2024. I’m probably gonna stick with this strategy for that list item as well.

A great thrift shopping haul, a movie review, and more!

Hello, my bucket list friends! I’ve done some fun things over the past few days that I want to share with you. I went to my favorite local thrift store again. I also went to the movies for only the third time this year. I can’t wait to tell you more about it, so let’s get to it!

Thursday, November 9th – I worked the closing shift on this day, but I went into town early so I could go to my favorite local thrift store before work. My main reason for going to the thrift store was to get some short books to read so I can work on crossing off read 50 books from my bucket list. Since it had not been a long time since my last visit to this thrift shop, I did not think that I would get many items, but I was wrong. I got lots of great items. I found a good amount of short books to read, I also got a bag of erasers, a Build a bear plush, a TY beanie Boo, a TY beanie puzzle eraser, a squishy key chain, and a stamp. On the way to work, I stopped by the candy store when I saw that they had their Christmas items out. I got some stickers, candy canes, and a light up toy that has candy with it and plays music. At work, I got some more Christmas themed items, including a cute bird decoration and a art kit. It was a pretty great day.

Friday, November 10th – This day, I also worked the closing shift. Before work, I went to Whole Foods, and I got a very cute gingerbread cookie. At work, I got this Christmas painting craft kit that I had been wanting to get, but it had not been put out on the shelf yet. I was very happy when I saw it out on the shelf. Getting the art kit made the day better than I thought it would be.

Saturday, November 11th – I had this day off. I went to a much need massage appointment with someone I used to work with. It was so good to see him again, After my massage, I went to Starbucks and Safeway. At Safeway, I got some of my favorite fruit snacks that come with trading cards, Kinder eggs that come with animal toys, a Play-Doh kit, and a few other items. That evening, I went to the movies, and I saw the Journey to Bethlehem. I highly recommend this movie. Yes, there were creativity liberties that were taken, and with all Biblical movies, it is a good idea to look to the Bible for the most accurate information. The movie itself is a fun wholesome retelling of the birth of Christ, I love the soundtrack to this movie, and I have been listening to it a lot. It is a wonderful movie for Christmastime. Once again, I highly recommend going to see it. After the movie we went to dinner at the Habit. It was a really wonderful day.

Sunday, November 12th – On this day, I worked the closing shift. I started the day by getting coffee and going to church. After church, I went on a walk before going to Starbucks, and then it was time for work. At work, I got this fun sticker book on my break. I also got a fun pen that has a Christmas tree on it. I’m amazed at all the items that we have for Christmas. I enjoy seeing the items come out onto the sales floor.

The competition of seasonal shopping

Hello, my bucket list, friends! I have been having a fun time buying Christmas items lately. As soon as they were displayed at the store where I work, I began buying them. recently, I got a bucket of fake snow that has toys hidden inside , a very cute bird decoration, two plush toys , a squishy toy, and an advent calendar. I also got a bag of frosted animal crackers, another light bulb lollipop ,stickers and gel window decorations. The Christmas themed items that I bought this week have not been the only Christmas themed items that I have been buying. There are two main reasons why I have been buying so many Christmas items. The first reason is that I love Christmastime! I love all the fun items that are available around Christmastime. The second reason is that as soon as we get further into Christmastime, those items will more than likely sell out very quickly. Years ago, I waited too long to buy a gingerbread house, and when I went to buy one, I could not get one. I went to many different stores, and I could not get one. I remember how disappointed I was, so now I try to buy things I want early. When it comes to buying seasonal items, there does seem to be a bit of a competition. Since these items are only around for a certain amount of time. Especially when it gets closer to the holiday. Soon, everyone will want to buy these items, and it turns into a contest of who can buy them first. My strategy for this competition is easy buy want you want early. As soon as you see it, get it! I plan on getting most, if not all, of my Christmas themed items this month. Have you started buying Christmas items yet?
