The Great refrigerator saga of 2018

Hello ,my buck list friends ! There has been a lot of crazy stuff going on with our refrigerator it started out as inconvenient then it got frustrating  now it is just funny but I’m getting ahead of myself . Now, Let’s start at the beginning.

The Great refrigerator saga of 2018

Towards the beginning of August our freezer stopped working ,I went to get a Creamsicle and it was very soft I thought that the door had just been left open . After mentioning the Creamsicle incident to my dad it was discovered that the freezer had stopped working but our Refrigerator/ freezer was under warranty . We called the warranty company and an apportionment was made to have a repair person come out .  Before the repair person could come the refrigerator stopped working as well . When the repair person did come he said he didn’t know how to work on this kind of system so the warranty company had to find someone who could work on the system and it took them a long time to find someone .When they finally did  find someone the repairman came out and said a new part had to be ordered . The part came then the repairman came but it turns out the wrong part had been ordered . In the meantime we didn’t have a fridge so we had to eat out all the time and store everything else in ice chests . We had to buy ice almost everyday, the bills were really adding up . Finally we bought a mini fridge since it became very clear that this problem would not be solved for awhile . The mini fridge was over $100.00 but it works well . We can’t store as much food as we normally would but we don’t have to eat out near as much as we were . Anyways after the wrong part was derived the warranty company decided to give us refund so we could get a new refrigerator . We went to Home Depot and picked out a new fridge and it was scheduled to be delivered this Tuesday but they didn’t bring enough workers to move the refrigerator up to our house . Then yesterday they came again but the refrigerator was damaged . It was making me mad but now it is just so funny .  Maybe by Christmas we will get a new refrigerator I’ll let you know !

It was a lot fun getting ready at her house we had some great hair and make-up artists there to make us all look wonderful for the wedding! We all looked amazing but thing I remember most about getting ready was while I was waiting for my make-up to get done I got to hold two of my cousin’s pet chickens !  After a busy morning of hair and make-up we went to the church got into our pretty purple dresses and my cousin put on her amazingly beautiful wedding dress ! Then it was time for the ceremony and to watch my cousin marry the love of her life. After the sweet ceremony  it was time to take tons of pictures and do lots of  cute and silly poses ! The reception was at a beautiful banquet hall at a restaurant! The reception was so much fun there was a photo booth, lots of dancing, tasty wedding cupcakes, and so many smiles !  It was one on the best receptions I have ever been to . It was just so full of happiness and joy !  It was such a honor to be apart of this beautiful and amazing day !

New hair same me :)

Hello, my bucket list friends as I wrote not so long ago in this blog post the road of life has been a little bumpy lately but since I’m back working at the preschool my money situation has improved . So I did something I had been wanting to do for a while I got my hair cut short ! I love having short hair it looks good and it is much easier to take care of . I have very thick hair so when it gets longer it is much harder to take care of and it tangles very easily . My hair was a knotted mess and it was time for a change so on Friday I finally went and got my hair cut I went to Great Clips it is my favorite place to get my hair cut ,they do a wonderful job and have great prices . I love the way my hair looks now and  it is so much easier to wash and brush ! It was just a simple hair cut but it made me feel better and look better . 🙂

Exploring Crab Cove in Alameda

Hello , my bucket list friends . Yesterday, I went on a fun little adventure to Crab Cove in Alameda . I had never been there before and it is surprising just how many places in the bay area I have never been to, since I have lived here my whole life ! My mom and I decided that it would be fun to visit as many bay area cities as possible before we move . We started with Crab Cove in Alameda  and I can’t wait to tell you all about it !

Exploring Crab Cove in Alameda

We started off our visit to Crab cove by going to the visitor’s center . There were some really interesting things to see in the visitor’s center including a few fish tanks that housed all kinds of fish, a big crab, a star fish and even a small shark ! The center also had information on the history of crab cove .It used to be a seaside amusement park . Now days it is a beautiful seaside park with picnic tables , grassy areas and plenty of beautiful views . After exploring the visitor’s center we took a walk along the beach . It was fun getting to watch people going kite boarding and windsurfing . It had been a while since I’ve gone to the beach so it was nice to take a walk by the water and watch the waves .We also saw lots of birds including geese . It was a fun little adventure and it would be cool to go back sometime to have a picnic , play in the water and maybe even try windsurfing !

The ever changing ride of life

The ever changing ride of life

Hello, my bucket list friends ! I consider myself to be a very honest person and the truth is my life has not been easy street lately . I was working less during the summer due to traveling and the preschool where I work being out for the summer after the summer camps ended and that made money really tight . Our fridge broke and of course there was that ER visit on my birthday. ( you can read about it here ) It’s been rough but that is just how life can be sometimes but we all know that doesn’t make it suck any less . I found myself wanting to sleep all the time but I’m happy to say  that things have been looking up a little bit lately .  I’m back working at the preschool so my money situation is slowly but surly getting back on track . I have also been interviewing for massage jobs and I have a good feeling  that I might be working as a massage therapist soon ! I was able to have some fun this weekend. I went shopping at a local party store where I loved going as a kid . I bought some fun stuff that I really didn’t need but it gave me a boost of much needed happiness and I got spend some time with my cousin on Sunday . Also the pain from my cyst has decreased to almost nothing ! Of course I’m still going to have to deal with the medical bills . Now, all that being said My life is not all sunshine and cupcakes but really who’s life is ? I wish I could spend all my time going around crossing things off my bucket list but that is not the reality I live in . My biggest take away from this struggle is if you need to sleep more do it ! It doesn’t mean you’re week you may just some more time to recharge and escape from the stress . Of course it is import to make sure that sleeping more than normal does not interfere with your daily life .  Not everything is back on track right now but it starting to get that way but I can’t be sure  what is going to happen next so I could use all the prayer I can get right now but I’m so thankful to God for all the blessings in my life and I can’t wait to see what I cross of my list next !

Random and fun facts about me :)

Hello , my bucket list friends .  I want to post on this blog as much as possible because I love writing so much . I thought it would be fun to do some and random facts about me so here we go !

Random facts about me !

  1. I have a few different collections . I made a you tube video about my snow globe collection ( you can watch it here ) but I also collect post cards , My Little pony toys , stuffed animals rubber ducks , and I have smaller collections of key chains and magnets . Take a look at my bedroom tour video ( right here ) to see glimpse of some of my other collections !

2.  I have three amazing rescue cats

I have three beautiful cats the First two Sherri and Blanca were adopted from the same animal shelter . Sherri in 2008 and Blanca in 2014 . Sherri was found walking around the street and had been at the shelter for three months . When I first met her , she stuck her head right in my purse and stole my heart . She is a sweet independent girl who can steal your heart with one look .  In 2014 I saw Blanca on the the shelter’s website she was a beautiful fluffy black cat who was estimated to be about 16 years old . Apparently she had been living in a home with other cats that were picking on her . When I went to the shelter to adopt her I found out that she had been brought there to be put down but there was not a medical reason to do so . She is such a sweet cat and I’m glad I was able to rescue her . She loves to cuddle ! Cooper joined our family in 2016 I was working at Talbots and my boss at the time told me that she was caring for a kitten that her neighbor had found in a trashcan outside of a mall . She was looking for a home for him and I was able to adopt him . I named him Cooper after Alice Cooper .  He is so full of energy and curiosity it’s been so much fun watching him grow into the amazing cat he is today .

3. I miss horse back ridding !

When I was a kid I loved horses. I had many toy horses and I enjoyed watching movies about horses.  I took ridding lessons and even went to horse camp but I really can’t remember when the last time I road a horse was but I hope I can ride again very soon !

4. I love peppermint !

I have loved candy canes for as long as I can remember . Of course I love the round peppermints too but I get so excited when the candy canes come out in stores. They have many different flavors of candy canes now but peppermint is my favorite ! I also love things that are peppermint scented like soap and of course peppermint essential oil !

5. I was on the mock trial team my senior year of high school

I had so much fun being apart of the mock trial team I wish I would have done it all four years ! I remember being so nervous to go to real court room and sit in a real witness stand  but I ended up really liking being apart of the team and I by the end of it I think I found being in the court room more exciting than scary .

That’s all for this time

Happy 28th birthday and a trip to the ER

Hello, My bucket list friends I had on 28th birthday on August 26th and it was a wild one ! I really didn’t see it turning out the way it did but that’s life for you ! Hang on tight and I’ll tell about my crazy birthday !

My 28th birthday and a trip to the ER

My birthday started with a trip to Peet’s coffee and petting some very cute dogs there before heading to work .  While I was at work my amazing friend brought me cake ! After work I went out to eat with my family we went to PF Chang’s. The food was so good and the desserts were wonderful ! After dinner we were driving back home and a pain that I had been having throughout the day began to get worse and worse . It was soon unbearable about an 8 on the pain scale . I didn’t want to go to the ER because it is expensive but due to the amount of pain I was in I didn’t have a choice . I’m not sure what time it was when I got to the ER maybe around 10 pm . Right away the tests began to find a source of the pain . After hours of doing tests and waiting the ultrasound showed that I has a cyst on my left ovary. It is about 5 1/2 CM. long . It was decided that I did not need anything further right then but that needed to talk to my doctor in a day or so . I was given some pain medication and after 3 AM I left the ER. The issue with the cyst is still on going . I’m going to be talking to a surgeon next week but I’ll write more about that another time . Overall it was a birthday I wont soon forget !
