Thrift shopping again, Dollar Tree, and lots of coffee

Hello, my bucket list, friends! I’m here to tell you about my weekend! This weekend wasn’t super exciting, but I did go to the Dollar Tree for the first time in a while. I also went to my favorite local thrift store again, and I got some fun items, including a Ty beanie buddy plush! Now that I have properly introduced this blog post, let’s get to it!

Friday – On this day, I left early for work. I was working the opening shift, and I have had some difficulty getting rides with Uber lately, so I called for an Uber much earlier than usual. This was a good thing, though, because not only did I get a ride without stress, I  had time to get coffee and go to the thrift store before work. At the thrift store, they were having a sale on plush toys. I was very happy when I saw a Ty beanie buddy on the shelf. I didn’t see any other plush toys that I wanted to add to my collection, but I did find more items that I wanted to take home with me. I got some books including an activity book. I also got some fun stickers and a bookmark. After shopping I went to work and it went well. I was also able to go to the candy store. It was a good start to my weekend.

Saturday – I had the day off. My biggest highlight of the day was getting go shopping at the Dollar Tree. I had not been to the Dollar Tree for a while, and I was happy to go and see what fun items I could find. I was happy to see that there were  summer items available. I got a package of two summer themed cups in the seasonal section. I didn’t find anything that was super exciting, but I did get some fun items, including a new hair bow, stickers, and a Crayola brand toothbrush set. While I was out, I also got a squishy toy at the hardware store, an iced coffee at McDonald’s, and Kinder Joy eggs at Safeway. I miss the Easter Kinder Joy eggs, but the NBA ones are pretty cool. It was a pretty good day!

Sunday – On this day, I worked the closing shift at work. However, I started my day off the best way you can start a Sunday, in my opinion. With coffee and church! After church, my parents and I went into town, and we had lunch at Baja Fresh. I got the veggie bowl that I normally get there. It is really good. I recommend it. It was also the last day to buy girl scout cookies, so we bought some. Thin mints are my favorites! When I got dropped off for work, I still had some time before my shift started, so I got an iced coffee at the coffee shop by my work. My shift went well, and after work, I went on a walk at the park. It was a good way to end my weekend

Sun catcher art kit fun!!

Hello, my bucket list, friends! Yesterday, I painted three of the four sun catchers that were in the art kit that I recently bought at Walgreens. I love the summer theme of this art kit. I had fun painting all three of them, but my favorite one to paint was the beach ball. I love doing simple art kits like this. I wonder what art kit I will do next.

Another delivery, thrift shopping and a beautiful walk

Hello, my bucket list friends it is the time for another weekend blog post! I know my posts have not been very exciting lately, but summer is on the way, and like I said in my last weekend post. I have big plans for the summer, including bucket list items! However, I did enjoy some of my favorite things this weekend, such as shopping and coffee. I think that is enough introduction for this post, so let’s get to it!

Friday – I had this day off.  However, I was in need of some food items, so I did another Walmart order through Instacart. I mainly ordered the food items that I needed, but I did add some fun items to my order. Those fun items were a bag of colorful craft sticks, two Kinder Joy eggs, one blind bag Barbie pets toy, and a bag of puzzle piece shaped magnets that you can decorate. After I received my delivery, I got creative with the craft sticks that I ordered. My original plan was to make shapes out of the craft sticks by gluing them together with hot glue. However, I was unable to find a hot glue gun. With some inspiration from Pintrest, I decided to glue the craft sticks on paper with a glue stick and then draw on them. I really enjoyed doing this. I had a fun time coming up with designs that I wanted to draw.

Saturday – I worked the closing shift on this day, but I went into town early because I had some things that I wanted to do before work. I also wanted to avoid traffic. When I got to town, I went to my favorite local thrift store that I have been going to a lot lately. I did not know if I would find much since it had not been a very long time since I had last been there. The first item that I put in my shopping basket was a  Squishmallow toy. I’m still not planning on collecting them, but I will probably get them every now and then when I see one for a good price. My other big find find were some Crayola crayons that I’m pretty sure are both from the 80s. One package had a year on it. I also got two books, two bookmarks, some stickers including beach themed stickers, and a hat. After I bought my items, the thrift store staff gave me a drawstring bag for the things that I bought. After the thrift store, I went to the candy store. I got two items, including a fan that has candy inside it also has a dog from Paw Patrol on top of it. The other item I got was a lollypop that has different flavors on it, and it spins around like a windmill. I walked around for a little bit before going to the coffee shop that I usually go to. After spending some time at the coffee shop, I went to work. I enjoyed my day at work, and when I got picked up, I went to the park with my mom and the neighbor’s dog. I had a good time at the park. After stopping at home for a little bit, I went back out to do some shopping. The big highlight of my nighttime shopping trip was getting Kinder Joy eggs and my favorite fruit snacks at Safeway. It was a busy day, but it was also a great day.

Sunday – I had the day off, and I took it easy for most of the day, but I did get to go on a walk and see my favorite ponies. It was a beautiful day, and since we have gotten a lot of rain this year, we have beautiful flowers and green grass all around us most of the time during our walk. After our walk, we did go into town. I was excited to go to Starbucks since it had been a little while since I had last gone there. I was very happy to get an iced coffee after my walk. I also needed to get cough drops, so I went to Walgreens. At Walgreens, I looked at the Easter section. I did not think I would find anything thing else that I would want since I had already gone there on Monday. However, since everything was deeply discounted, I wanted to see if there was anything else that would interest me. I ended up getting two Easter ring pops and a plush animal in a plastic egg. I was very happy to find those items because I did not see them on Monday. I was pleasantly surprised. It was a good way to end the weekend.

Thank you for reading about my weekend fun!

My marvelous Monday staring Walgreens

Hello, my bucket list friends. I’ve been meaning to make this post, and now a week later I’m finally sharing it with you. without any more delay here is a post about my Monday last week. My big highlight on this day was going to Walgreens. I was excited to go there because it was the day after Easter, and I knew that the Easter items would be on sale. There was a fair amount of Easter items still avaalible. There were a lot of these popper toys that came with gumballs that were on sale for less than a dollar. I already had one of them, but due to the price, I got more of them. I also got this super cute bunny plush that came with jelly beans. In addition to those items, I got some Easter chocolates, and outside of the Easter section, I got this very cute sun catcher art kit. Before I went home, I went to Starbucks, and I got an iced coffee it was my second coffee of the day because I had also gotten a hot coffee before work that morning. It was a pretty good Monday. I hope all of you are having a great Monday today!

Toy store fun ,special deliveries, and a blessed Easter Sunday

Hello, my bucket list, friends! I hope all of you had a great Easter! I know that a lot of people are on vacation around this time. Unfortunately, I’m not one of them. However, summer is on the way, and I’ve got big plans, including plans to cross off a fair amount of bucket list items! I’m kind of disappointed that I have not crossed any items of my list in 2023 yet, but if things go according to plan, that will change in June. For now, it is time to talk about my weekend! Let’s get to it!

Friday – On this day, I worked the closing shift. Before work, I made a stop at the toy store. I’m really excited about the Breyer horse toy that I got. It comes with three horses. I also got a Pez dispenser, some stickers and more. Of course, I went to my normal place for coffee before going to work. The work day went pretty well as it normally does. It was Good Friday, but because I was working, I was unable to go to church, but it was on my heart and mind. I even drew some crosses and hearts on the sleeve of my coffee cup. After work, I went to the candy store, and I got a bag of some of my favorite lollipops!

Saturday – I had the day off. I decided to do my shopping for the day through my phone. I used Instacart and Uber eats to have items delivered to my house . For my Instacart order, I shopped at Walmart. I ordered food items that I needed, but I also got some fun items as well. Those fun items included stickers, a wooden cactus, two Barbie pets blind bag toys, and a sand castle mold. Some of my items had to be replaced with other items. A craft kit that I ordered was replaced with a paint set, and the bouncy balls were replaced with some very cute stamps. Overall, I was very happy with my instacart order, but I was sad about one item that had to be refunded, so I decided to order from CVS using the Uber Eats app. I ordered five items, but because it was the day before Easter, a lot of the Easter items were out of stock. I got three out of the five items I wanted, and I was very happy with what I did get. I was very excited to get a little Pez dispenser that came in a plastic egg. I also got a bath bomb with a prize inside and a can of iced coffee. The coffee was really good. I posted a reel of me trying it on my Instagram page. ( summerrockstar) I also used the paint set I got from Walmart to help me paint my wooden cactus later on that day. I also used some paint that I already had. I really like the way my cactus art project turned out. I also got a visit from the neighbor’s dog that day. I was a pretty great day!

Sunday – I also had this day off, and it was a special day because it was Easter Sunday! It was a beautiful sunny day outside, and even though I did not go anywhere, I still put on a dress for Easter. I made some pasta, and I put some veggies and bread on the side to make a little Easter feast for myself. My neighbor’s dog also came over. I decided put together the Barbie puzzle that I got at my favorite local thrift store. I thought the puzzle had all the pieces, but there were some that were missing. However, those pieces were at the bottom of the puzzle, so it did not impact the overall picture. It was a relaxing day.

Thanks for reading about my weekend!

Being social and shopping my week in review

Hello, my bucket list, friends! Last week had some really great moments. I decided to make a blog post highlighting those moments. Without any more introduction, let’s get to it!

Monday – This day was a really amazing one. My friend and I both were off on this day, and this is a rare occurrence. I was very excited for us to spend they day together. We did some of our favorite things. We went to Starbucks and went on a walk. went shopping at Five Below, and we ended the day by going to Yogurtland. My friend had never been to Five Below before, and I was excited to show it to her. I got many fun items, including Barbie sunglasses, a Barbie puzzle, a My Little Pony toy, a Barbie tea set, a painting art kit, and new earbuds, I also got a Squishmallow. I’m not going to start collecting them because I collect so many things already, but I was excited about the price, plus they are very cute. It was also a lot of fun going to Yogurtland. I love being creative and making my own frozen yogurt creation. However, the best thing about the day was getting to spend time with my friend.

Tuesday – On this day, I worked the morning shift. Before work, I got coffee at the place I normally do. Work went well, and after work, I got some Kinder Joy eggs at Safeway. It was a simple but good day.

Wednesday – On this day, I also worked the morning shift. I started the day with coffee just like the day before. I also had a good day at work just like I had the day before. However, this day was different because I went to my favorite local thrift store after work. It had not been long since I was there last so there were not a lot of new items but I did get some good items. including an American Girl book and a sheet of Easter stickers. I enjoyed going thrift shopping, of course, but my favorite part of the day was going out to eat with family members that I had not seen in a while. I got to eat pizza and have good conversations. it was a really great day.

Thursday – I was off on this day, and I got to see my friend again. It was a last-minute thing, but I was so excited to see her again. We went to Walgreens and Starbucks. At Walgreens, I got a new Pez dispenser. We only hung out for a little while because I wanted to get back home, but it was truly amazing to see my friend twice in one week.

Thanks for reading about my week! I hope you are all enjoying the month of April!

The weekend where I said goodbye to March and hello to April

Hello, my bucket list friends! I know this post is on the later side since it is already Thursday. However this week has been kind of busy so now is finally the time to talk about my weekend. Let’s get to it!

Friday – On this day, I had the day off. I stayed home most of the day, but I went to Whole Foods that evening. I got some yummy foods like soup and my favorite fruit snacks that come with trading cards. I also got this super cute bath scrubby that is shaped like a crab. Some other things that I got were lip balm and cinnamon mints. After Whole Foods, I went to Panera bread to get coffee since I had not had any that day. I love the hazelnut coffee at Panera Bread. It was a pretty good day.

Saturday – This was the first day of April. I worked the closing shift this day, but I had to get dropped off early, so I had a lot of time before my shift began. I was actually excited to be able to be in town because I wanted to go to my favorite local thrift store. I ended up getting more items than I thought I would get. The first thing I got was an American Girl fashion studio kit. After that, I found many more items, including a Build a Bear plush, American Girl books, three Barbie dolls, a pair of sunglasses, and a button from Super Bowl 1985. I was excited to find the button because I think it is fun to find items that were made before I was born. I also got a Barbie mirror and some stickers. After my thrift shopping fun, I still had a lot of time before my shift.  I walked around for a while, then I went to the candy store, and I got a Pez dispenser. My last stop before work was the local coffee shop that I often go to before work. After I stayed there for a while, I went to work and the day went well. When my mom picked me up from work, we went for a walk in the park. It was a great way to end the day.

Sunday – I had the day off today, and I was excited to go to church. I was able to get some coffee before going to church. The church service was good. I really enjoy going. After church, I went to Starbucks. Yes, I got more coffee. Then we went for another walk at the same park that we went to the day before. It was a simple but good day.

Thank you for reading about my weekend I hope you are all having a wonderful week.

Pez dispensers and Kinder eggs

Hello, my bucket list, friends! The two items in the title above are two items that I have been buying a lot lately.  I love the toys that come with the Easter Kinder joy eggs. I also love how cute Pez dispensers are. On Wednesday, I got two new Pez dispensers. I got a cupcake and a pizza Pez dispenser. I love them both, but the cupcake is my favorite. Thursday, I bought three Kinder Joy eggs at Safeway because they are 3 for 5.00. I opened up one of the eggs yesterday, and it had a cute blue and white bunny inside. I wish the Easter themed Kinder eggs we available year round.  Oh, also, at Safeway on Thursday, I got a beautiful cupcake that had a plastic ring shaped like a crown on top. I hope you all have a great weekend. Thanks for reading!
