Nail polish,new shoes,and other things

Hello, my bucket list friends, Sometimes times it’s the little things in life that can really make your day ! This week there have been some fun little things that made me smile. Wednesday was a day full of smiles and I can’t wait to tell you all about it so here we go !

Nail polish,new shoes,and other things

On Tuesday I got the urge to get my nails done and this is unusual for me because whenever I get my nails done it’s pretty much always not my idea but for some reason I wanted to get my nails done so I texted my friend and we deiced to get our nails done the next day. I had already decided on the look I wanted for my nails. I wanted to get two neon colors that alternated with each nail. I picked out a neon pink and a neon green. My friend picked out a pretty light pink color in gel. We both had a good time relaxing and getting our nails done. After our nails we went next door to the Dollar Tree for some shopping. My friend found some great items to use in her classroom and I found some arts and crafts supplies and some official My Little Pony toys plus more ! Then it was lunch time. After lunch we were going to go to Yogurt Land but we were both really full so we decided to drive down the street a little ways to Savers. The Savers we went to was  big much bigger then the Goodwill we normally go to. The first thing I put in my basket was a Rainbow Dash plush from Build a Bear. I was very excited to get her then I found an Equestria girl doll of Octavia Melody. I was also able to find some American Girl books , a Mickey Mouse bobble head from Disney World, and some other items. After our thrift store adventure we headed back to yogurt land. We both enjoyed our frozen yogurt then we went to meet my parents.  When I got into my patent’s car I saw that there was a cardboard box. I knew that my new shoes were finally here ! When it comes to running shoes Asics are my favorites but the ones I had were worn out and needed to be replaced. My mom ordered me a new pair for my birthday. I’ve been wearing the shoes this week and I love them!  So, there you have it some of the highlights of my week. What were some of your highlights this week?  Rock On -Christina Epperly IMG_20190927_153155_2

If Animals could talk ……

Hello, my bucket list friends I have what I like to call a busy brain. I’m pretty much always thinking ten miles a minute. Random ideas are always popping into my head. Well recently I’ve been thinking about what life would be like if animals could talk. Let me give you some background on this. I have a 21 year old cat named Blanca she is a very sweet and happy cat but she does have kidney disease and because of that we have to give her fluids using a needle and as you can probably guess she does not like this at all. I wish so much that I could tell her why we are doing this and how much it helps her. I wish she could understand that we are caring for her and helping her to be healthier. Then one night I noticed one of my other cats Sherry itching because of fleas so of course I put  flea medicine on her and right away she ran away from me it was like she was scared of me. Once again I wish she could understand that I was helping her.  I feel like some simple communication would solve a lot of the problems that we have when it comes to our animal friends. We could tell the dogs that the mail man is harmless, we could ask the birds not to poop on our cars and we could listen to their endless stories of everything they observe in a day. I think the point of all my random thoughts is this, communication is an important and valuable tool and while we may not be able to talk to the animals we encounter every day we can talk to other people.  Unfortunately we often forget that we have that ability, we sometimes think that by communicating our feelings we are being difficult or dramatic. I do wish animals could tell people how they are feeling and what they need but I also wish that we would use communication more often then we do. I wish people would be quicker to express themselves instead of hiding what they really feel. Now, I’m not saying that people should act out in fits of anger or tell their struggles to everyone they meet no matter how much it hurts. What I’m saying is this we need to take more advantage of this important tool that we have. Feeling left out in your group of friends ? Tell Them how you feel. Struggling with the amount of work or homework you have ? Talk to a coworker ,your boss , classmate or teacher. Some people may think that being open and honest with your feelings makes you week but the truth is it’s one of the smartest things a person can do. by speaking up you may discover that it can help you to solve problems , lead you to people who can assist you with things you may be struggling with, make good relationships better and end relationships that are not healthy and maybe it will make you feel more confident. So you may not be able to tell your dog that its  not necessary to  bark every time a car goes by or ask your fish what decorations they would like to have in their tank but you can tell your friends that your thankful for them, you can tell everyone that asks that you haven’t decided on a career choice yet and you can even ask others if they have anything bottled up inside that they would like to share.  Next time you have something you need to get of your chest remember be respectful , be honest and be a communicator! PS. I wish I could nicely ask my cat to move over on the couch so I can lay down!

E bay haul September 2019 part 1

Hello,my bucket list friends ! Recently I did a shopping spree on E bay to find some items that I haven’t been able to find at the Good will. My two main focuses were American Girl doll clothes and first generation My Little Pony toys. I can’t wait to show you what I got so here we go !

E bay haul September 2019 part 1

American Girl Doll clothes- I really wanted to get some new clothes for my American Girl doll Clover but I didn’t want to buy them new because they are pretty expensive. I went on E bay to find some used American Girl clothes at an affordable price. It was harder then I thought it would be. If you look on E bay there are a lot of people selling home made or other brands of doll clothes that will fit American Girl Dolls but that are not American Girl brand clothes. Now there is nothing wrong with these kinds of doll clothes it just wasn’t what I was looking for. When I did find American Girl Doll clothes the auctions were competitive. However I was able to get some cute dolls clothes that were  from the American Girl place in Chicago. I was very excited to put them on Clover and of course they looked great on her!

My Little Pony Moon Dancer G1

I’ve been wanting to add some G1 Ponies to my collection also known as the Ponies that came out in the 80’s. I found that it was much easier to buy G1 ponies one by one instead of bidding on a bunch of them in one lot. I bought a few ponies and Moon Dancer was the first one that came. I just have to say she is so beautiful ! I’m very happy to add her to my pony collection.

My Little Pony Sweet Stuff G1

Sweet Stuff was my 2nd G1 pony to arrive from E bay! I’m very excited to welcome her in my collection!  I love her hair and her overall look.

American Girl inner star university  book

I love American Girl books but I had never gotten the chance to read one of these books before. The book I got it called A Girl’s Best Friend. The Inner Star University books are in the same style as the choose your own adventure books. As you read through the story you get to make choices for the main charter. It’s up to you how the story goes! There are more books in this series I hope to get more sometime.

Fun with arts and crafts kits

Hello, my bucket list friends, I love being creative and making fun works of art ! I often buy arts and crafts kits and then use them in my down time. I’ve been having fun with the craft kits and art supplies that I have on my art shelf. I can’t wait to tell you all about it. Here we go.

Fun with arts and crafts

Sand art necklace kit – I got this fun and simple kit at the Dollar Tree . It came with a small plastic heart that had a loop on the cap to make a necklace. It also came with brightly colored sand and a tool to move the sand around but did not include any string for a necklace. I had a fun time pouring the sand into the heart and watching the bright colors make fun patterns. I’m happy with the way this project turned out.

Bracelets

Now, it’s time for one of my all-time favorite art projects. Pipe cleaner bracelets! I also got the supplies for this craft at the Dollar Tree. All I needed for this craft were some pipe cleaners and beads the Dollar Tree had both colorful pipe cleaners and colorful beads . I had a good time putting the beads onto the pipe cleaners. I loved the way the bracelets looked when I put them on. This is a fun and easy craft I recommend it !

Valentine’s day painting

And here is another Dollar Tree craft kit! This Valentine’s day themed paint kit had two cute little teddy bears holding hands. As normal with these craft kits the paint was not very high quality but it was a lot of fun to paint the very cute bears. When the painting dried it was a little hard to see parts of the original picture underneath. If I used water color paint it may have turned out better. I think I’ll do that next time!

My 29th birthday !

Hello, my bucket list friends ! On August 26th I turned 29 ! It was a really great day and I can’t wait to tell you all about it so here we go !

My 29th birthday !

My birthday started of with a nice relaxing day at home. I slept in , put up a new blog post and just enjoyed the day. That evening the fun began. It started off with meeting family and friends and one of my favorite places Build a Bear Workshop. I already knew which bear I was going to choose. I saw this bear online that was brightly colored and she had ice pops on her feet. I found her at the workshop easily and my guests picked the animals they wanted then it was time build them. The employee that helped us was very nice and even made me a birthday sticker. I named my bear August Summers and I got her an outfit that had ice pops on it ! Her fur is so soft I’m so happy I choose her to be my birthday bear! My guest’s animals turned out really cute as well. After all our bear building fun it was time to chow down at the food court. I finally got to try out this vegan restaurant I’ve been wanting to go to. The food was pretty good. After that we went to the Cheese Cake Factory for Cheese Cake of course ! I got the very pretty and very yummy celebration cheese cake. It was truly a wonderful birthday! A big thank you to everyone that gave me birthday wishes and helped me celebrate.
