Things I love September 2020

Hello, my bucket list friends ! Well it’s time to wave goodbye to another month! This month was very busy and not always the good kind of busy. Like having to wait in a very long line at the DMV. However there were some things I loved this month so let’s take a look at thoes!

Things I love September 2020

Books – Reading is becoming one of my favorite hobbies. On my latest trip to Savers I got ten books! ( You can read about it HERE) I’ve actually already finished the book I’m going to use for October’s book club. I can’t wait to discuss it with all of you.

Childhood memories – I’ve been going through old photos a lot lately. I wanted to gather phots to use for throwback Thursday . I really enjoy looking at these photos it’s like traveling through time.

Kid’s toothpaste – I’m a kid at heart so it’s no surprise that I love useing kids tooth paste! Having cute pictures on the tooth paste tube makes brushing my teeth more fun! Plus I can buy it at the Dollar Tree.

Going to the mall – I went to the mall with my friend Amy one day before work. Yay for Jamba juice and Claire’s!

There you have it some of the things I loved in September 2020! Thanks for reading and Rock On – Christina Epperly

Savers at night

Hello,my bucket list friends! On Saturday I had a night time thrift shopping adventure. I thought it would be fun to share it with all of you so here we go!

I had a long day of work on Saturday but I was in the mood to go thrift shopping. I’m working at different location now and it’s pretty close to the Savers that I go to. What I love most about that Savers location is the books! My mom and I love finding fun books to read. I got off work a half an hour before Savers closed but I figured that would be just enough time to find some good books! As soon as I was off work I hurried to get my stuff and get out the parking lot where my mom was waiting for me. It was a short drive and we parked quickly. As soon as we started walking towards the store someone in the parking lot told me to hurry. I thought it was funny. When we walked in the store an employee told us we had 20 minutes. That’s was good enough for me. On our way back to the book section I saw this beautiful carousel toy . I told my mom to go ahead while I took a look at it. It didn’t take me long to decide that I wanted it. I met my mom over in the book section and we got right to work finding books we wanted. After finding some books I wanted. I went to the toy section. I got a bag of 101 Dalmatians toys and a My Little Pony Equestria Girls doll. When I returned to the book section my mom had found some more books. I took a look at the books again and I found even more books that looked good. I even found some books that I’ve been wanting to read. While in the book section we were told that the store was closed and that it was time to get in line. I was really happy with my finds during this short shopping trip.

Light Heart book club discussion September 2020

Hello, my bucket list friends! It’s time for this month’s book club discussion! I had a fun time reading this book. Our book for this month was Marshmallow Mystery by Helen Perelman. As always just one more thing before we dive into our discussion. The following post contains major plot points ( Spoilers ) for the book . If you want to read the book and haven’t yet, I suggest you wait to read this post until you have finished the book. Now, let’s dive into our discussion!

My favorite part of the book – I was so happy when the candy fairies found Mallow their owl friend. Mallow had some important information that helped the fairies solve the mystery.

My least favorite part of the book- I felt really bad for the fairies especially Raina when they realized that their fairy code book was missing. It’s never a good feeling when you lose something important.

Before we get into this month’s activities. I just have to say that this was a really fun book to read! I have another Candy Fairies book and I hope to read it soon.

Art activities- This month I did two different art projects to go along with this book. For the first project I made a foam gingerbread house from a kit that I got at a thrift store. I had a fun time decorating the house. I think the candy fairies would be right at home in this house.

For my second art activity I did something very simple but also very fun ! I drew colorful and fun candy picture! I had a good time drawing lollypops and gumdrops!

Thank you for reading this month’s book club discussion! Happy reading.

Light heart book club discussion August 2020

Hello,my bucket list friends. It’s time for another book discussion for the Light Heart book club. August’s book was Dream on by Sarah Mlynowski. This book is part of the whatever after series. I’m excited to tell you more about this book and the activities I did along with it. There is one more thing before we dive into the discussion. The following post contains major plot points ( Spoilers ) for the book . If you want to read the book and haven’t yet, I suggest you wait to read this post until you have finished the book. Now, let’s dive into our discussion.

The whatever after book series focuses on Abby and her brother Jonah as they go through a magic mirror and into popular fairy tales. In this book Abby and Jonah end up in the story of Sleeping beauty. Things get complicated when Abby’s friend Robin gets put under the sleeping spell instead of the princess. I really enjoyed the author’s take on this story and I recommend it for anyone looking for a fun read.

My favorite part of the book – There were a lot of fun moments in this book. One of the moments that stood out to me the most was when prince the puppy came back through the mirror with the kids. I was happy that Abby and Jonah got to keep him.

My least favorite part of the book – It was kind of sad that Robin fell asleep and didn’t get to explore the kingdom of Rose with Abby and Jonah.

Activities

draw a rose -This story mainly takes place in the kingdom of Rose. As you can probably guess there are many beautiful roses there. It also turns out that Abby loves to draw roses. So I thought that drawing a rose was the perfect activity. In the book Abby describes how she draws her roses . I followed her description and I’m happy with how my rose drawing looks.

Color a puppy – as I mentioned above Abby and Jonah return home with a puppy. I decided to color a puppy picture from a coloring book I have. You can find coloring pages online if you would like to color your own puppy.

Summer 2020 wrap up

Hello,my bucket list friends! Well, it’s time to say goodbye to summer. Summer is my favorite season and it’s always hard to say goodbye but let’s look back on my summer 2020 fun! Here we go !

When I think about this summer the first things that stand out are my vacations to Idaho and Montana. Even though I’ve been to Idaho many times I got to go to the botanical gardens for the first time and I really enjoyed it. This summer was my first time going to Montana and I really liked their zoo. Some other summer  highlights include going thrift shopping, going swimming, going to the mall, getting my haircut and spending time with some great people! As always I get sad when summer comes to an end. It’s my favorite season because it is often filled with fun and adventure. I wonder what adventures I will go on next summer.
