Light heart bookclub update

Hello, my bucket list friends! I know it may seem like it but I have not forgotten about the bookclub. I have been slowly making my way through February’s book. I hope to finish it this weekend. I thought I would use this post to choose March’s book club pick. Since March is almost over I decided to go with a book that would be easy to read quickly. I enjoy the Candy Fairies book series. I have been able to find more candy fairy books at thrift stores. The book I’ll be reading this month is the Chocolate Rose by Helen Perelman. Happy reading everyone!

More bath bomb fun !

Hello, my bucket list friends! I don’t know if using bath bombs is considered a hobby or not but if it is it’s definitely my new hobby! On a trip to Target I got this really cool sparkly bath bomb shaped like a bear. It was also one of the bath bombs that came with a surprise inside. This is the first bath bomb that I’ve used that is coved in glitter. When I first held it the glitter came off very easily. I was curious to see if this bath bomb would leave me covered in glitter or not. When I first touched the bath bomb it did leave a lot of glitter behind. However after I put it in the water the glitter seemed to loose it’s stickiness. I did take a shower after my bath so that could have washed it off but anyways the glitter didn’t seem to be much of a problem. The prize inside was a squishy heart toy. I’ve also been using a lot of bath bombs from two sisters spa. I just keep ordering these super fun bath bombs I love getting the ones that have prizes inside. I also like that they make bubbles as well.

My latest thrift shopping fun!

Hello, my bucket list friends! Going thrift shopping has quickly become of my favorite hobbies. I’ve been working on building up my beanie baby collection. I had so many when I was a kid and I wish I would have kept them. Anyways I’m also on the lookout for books from American Girl and Mary-kate and Ashley. I’ve been pretty successful with finding items that I’m interested in adding to my collection. I wanted to share my two latest thrift shopping trips with you. The first one was in Saturday to a local thrift store they have very limited hours so I don’t get to go very much. However I did have some time before my shift on Saturday so I was able to go look for some treasures. I found some Mary-Kate and Ashley books as well as an American girl book. I also found it a bag that had some Beanie Babies in it. Some other finds from that thrift shopping trip were a Barbie doll, some stickers and a bag of hair scrunchies. The next thrift shopping trip I wanted to tell you about took place on Tuesday. I had to get some shirts for my new job but of course I had to look for some fun items to add to my collection as well. I was excited to find two wellie wisher dolls from American Girl they had been well played with and needed some TLC but I was still very excited to have found them. I also found some really awesome ’90s Beanie babies to add to my collection. I was really hoping to find some while I was there and I was not disappointed. I also got a pink basket for Easter as well as some books including a Disney trivia book. What are some fun things that you have found while through shopping?

My bankruptcy story

Hello, my bucket list friends. Last month I received my official bankruptcy discharge. Meaning that’s it’s all behind me now. However I thought that it would be helpful for me to share my story with all of you. When you first read the title of this post you may be thinking, why would someone want the whole world to know that they went bankrupt? My answer is this. We all go through hard times in life that’s just the reality. While it is important to have a good attitude we can’t ignore the low points. Also I want to help to remove the stigma that bankruptcy can have. Going through bankruptcy does not say anything about you as a person. There is a reason bankruptcy laws exist. With that being said, let’s talk about what got me to this point in the first place. There are three main factors that caused me to file for bankruptcy. The first one being my poor budgeting skills and overspending. I know I mentioned in another blog post how I didn’t regret my debt because of the experiences it brought me. However when it was combined with the other things I’m going to mention it was very hard to manage. The second reason was medical bills. There were two visits to the ER that really added to my debt one of them got sent to collections. The third reason was I took a job where I thought I was going to be getting more hours then I actually ended up getting. I eventually got a 2nd job but the lack of income took it’s toll on my finances. It took me a long time for me to decide to file for bankruptcy. At first I was completely against it. When I decided that bankruptcy was the right choice, I knew I was going to need a lawyer to help me. Luckily I found a really great one and he helped make things go smoothly. It was stressful at times getting all the paperwork together but overall it was not that bad. I was nervous when the day of my bankruptcy hearing arrived. Because of Covid-19 bankruptcy hearings are now done over the phone. I was getting anxious listing to some of the people that went before me. When it was my turn I was very nervous but I felt better knowing that my lawyer was on the call with me . He had talked to me the day before to help me prepare for the hearing. After answering a few questions it was over. I was so happy that none of my creditors showed up. Bankruptcy is behind me now the main consequence of filing for bankruptcy was a low credit score. However that is already on its way back up. I’m happy to have a fresh start. Feel free to ask any questions you may have in the comments.

More Barbie color reveal!

Hello, my bucket list friends! I’m excited to write this post. I’ve really become a fan of the Barbie color reveal line. Recently I got two more Barbie color reveal dolls and two Barbie color reveal Easter pets. I had a lot of fun seeing what dolls and pets I got. The first doll I revealed had pink hair and polka dots on her clothes. Also her earrings were awesome! The 2nd doll I got was another mermaid doll. She has green and purple hair and a nighttime sky theme. I love both of my new color reveal dolls. As for the Easter pets the process was very similar but except for coming in plastic tubes they came in plastic eggs. After you used warm water to reveal the pets you got you then had to attach the ears to really confirm which animal it was I got two bunnies. I Hope they keep making the Barbie color reveal dolls.

Painting magnets and a tea set

Hello, my buck list friends! I buy so many craft kits and can’t keep up with all of them. However I recently completed two of them. One was a kit where you paint your own wooden magnets the other one was a tiny tea set that you could paint. I love doing craft kits where you can paint an object without having to build or make anything first. Of course there’s nothing wrong with building or making something it can be a lot of fun. I just like to dive right into the painting part. The wooden magnets were all sea animals. It was fun to paint the smiling sea creatures and I really like the way they turned out. I got this craft kit at Savers and I’m very happy that I did. The next craft kit I got at a local toy store. I remember getting a craft kit similar to this when I was younger but that one was a larger tea set. This one was so tiny and cute. I decided to paint smiley faces on the tea set along with some dots. I like mixing colors when. I paint and I thinks it makes things look really cool. I wonder what arts and craft kit I will do next ?
