Summer fun catch up

Hello my bucket list friends! I’ve been so busy writing posts about my Utah adventure that I wasn’t able to cover a lot of my other summer fun adventures. I thought It would be a good idea to do a catch up post of some other fun things I’ve been doing this summer! So here we go.

Art kits – I’ve done a few art kits this month. My favorite was the spin art kit where you used a spinning top to spread the colors around. I also did a paint your own magnet set and a painting dinosaur bank kit.

Barbie color reveal – I’ve revealed two dolls this month. Including one from a newer line. She has plastic hair with no wig or hair extensions which is different from the other dolls I’ve gotten. I really like this line of Barbie color reveal and I hope to get more.

Slurpees – I’ve been loving slurpees this month. I even got a fun straw with one of my slurpees.

Walk- I got to go on a walk on my favorite trail. It was a beautiful day. I hope I get to go on that trail again this summer.

A trip to Walgreens – Earlier this month, I went to Walgreens. My favorite thing I got was this elephant shaped popping toy. I also got a really awesome and colorful pair of flip flops.

Target adventure – When I got the new Barbie color reveal doll that I mentioned above I got other things too. Including bath bombs and another Barbie doll.

Goodwill – In addition to my Goodwill trip in Utah. I went to a local Goodwill this month as well. I found another Beanie baby for my collection. And I took a cute picture with it in the car.

Dollar Tree and mall adventure 6/21

Hello, my bucket list friends! On Friday I went to the Dollar Tree and Saturday I went to the mall. I got some really great items and I can’t wait to tell you more about it so here we go! On Friday after work I went to my favorite Dollar Tree location. I found so many amazing things including confetti Play-Doh,art kits,a Barbie coloring book and My Little pony stickers. I also got a summer themed cup with an attached drinking straw. I’m excited to play with the confetti Play-Doh I hope to do that today. On Saturday I went to the mall with my friend Amy. I went to Claire’s and got a lot of great things including a necklace that has a little jar of donuts on it,and a hair bow, hair scrunchies, and a bracelet with heart shaped beads. After Claire’s we went to Daiso. This store never fails to have amazingly cute items. Some of my favorite things I got there were stickers, animal shaped erasers,a Mickey mouse towel, and a Disney princess pencil sharpener. Also Amy and I got matching towels that have polar bears on them. After that I went to Build a Bear workshop. They were low on stock so they didn’t have any of the bears that I had in mind to build that day. However they did have this adorable pastel colored cat. I named her June Sunshine and bought a summer shirt for her to wear. After getting some lunch at the food court Amy and I went to Old Navy where I found a great pair of leopard print flip flops and Amy found jeans that fair her perfectly. We ended our day with a trip to Target. I got a bath bomb and some cute items from the dollar section of the store. Some of my favorite items that I got in the dollar section were a set of animal shaped rulers and two cute summer themed animal toys. It was a wonderful two days of shopping fun and I can’t wait to do it again next year.

Utah adventure part four and wrap up!

Hello,my bucket list friends! Welcome to the fourth and final part of my Utah adventure! On the last day of our vacation we went to explore a church called the Cathedral of the Madeleine. It was so beautiful. I took so many pictures. It was simply beautiful inside and outside of the church. After exploring the church we went to an antique mall it was my first time going to one because I always thought that they were to expensive. Turns out I was wrong. They had some great items at great prices. There we also expensive items as well but the were plenty of great things in my price range that I was excited to add to my collection. I need to explore more antique malls. After all that exploring it was time for some lunch. We went to this restaurant called Red iguana. It was highly recommended. I’m glad we went there. The food was amazing. Plus they had a giant iguana statue out in front of the restaurant that was really cool to see. And that pretty much sums up our last day in Utah. This vacation was absolutely amazing! My favorite things were probably the zoo, the aviary, and the Park City museum. I’m glad we went to Salt Lake City. It was a lot of fun to explore.

Utah adventure part three

Hello,my bucket list friends! It’s time for part three of my Utah adventure. On the next day of our trip,we went to the Tracy aviary. This was one of my favorite places we visited. There was so many amazing birds to look at. Some of my favorites included flamingos, owls, and vultures. One of my favorite things there was that you could buy food to feed the ducks and swans. One duck had babies and it was so fun to watch them. We also saw a bird show. I can now officially say that the Vulture is now my new favorite bird. One of my other aviary highlights was climbing up onto this big log to take a picture. I really like the way that the picture turned out. After the aviary we walked around the park where the aviary was. We found a free art museum in the park. We had some time before our Uber arrived so we went to check it out. There was a quilting exhibit that was fun to see. When we left the park we went to the Utah state capital building. It’s a very beautiful building that has a lot to see. After the capital we went to a souvenir shop across the street. Of course I was able to find some things there that I just had to have. After all that adventure, we went back to the City Creek Center for food. We ate at the same restaurant that we had before. It was another wonderful day of vacation. The next day we decided to explore Park City. The first thing we did in Park City was to go to the Park City museum. You enter the museum through the gift shop I bought some souvenirs before we went to see the exhibits. I really enjoyed this museum a lot. They had exhibits on mining, skiing, and more. I would definitely revisit this museum if I was ever back in Park City. After the museum, we walked around town and went to a bookstore and a art gallery. For our next adventure we went to a ski resort. During the summer the resort has rides that you can do such as the chair lift, a coaster, and a slide that you ride down on roller boards. We decided to do the zipline and the slide with the roller boards. The slide was a little bit scary but overall fun and the zipline was fast but I really enjoyed it. After adventure in Park City we went back to Salt Lake City to do some thrift shopping. We went to a Goodwill and at first it didn’t seem like I was going to find much but I ended up finding some things I was really happy about. I found a Barbie book, a Build-A-Bear puppy, a wishbone dog plush, and some Barbie DVDs. Thanks for reading this part of my adventure.

Utah adventure part two

Hello,my bucket list friends! I’m back with part two of my Utah adventure. The next part of our adventure starts at the zoo. I love going to zoos whenever I travel. I was very excited to explore a zoo that I had not been to before. The zoo was more crowded than I thought it would be. However we were still able to have a great time. Some highlights of the zoo include seeing see many different kinds of animals including zebras, giraffes, otters, elephants, rhinoceroses, and many other kinds of animals, going on the carousel and train ride, taking lots of great photos and shopping at the gift shop. If you ever get a chance to visit this great zoo I highly recommend it. After getting some lunch at the zoo, we walked across the street to another popular Salt Lake City attraction. We went to This Is The Place Heritage Park. When you visit this park it’s like stepping back in time. You can see old log cabins, farm animals, and even a blacksmith! There is also a train here that helps you see all this park has to offer. One of my favorite things was going to the old hospital building and getting wooden crafts that you could take home to decorate. I got a wooden fan I have yet to decorate it but I’ll be sure to share it when I do. I also got a Dole whip here it was the perfect treat after all that exploring. They also had a gift shop here as well. I had a lot of fun exploring both of these places. It was a wonderful day.

Utah adventure part one

Hello,my bucket list friends! As I write this sentence I’m in the Salt Lake City airport ready to head home. Before I get any further into this post, I have to say that I had a truly amazing vacation. I can’t wait to tell you more about it so let’s start at the beginning. My vacation started on June 8th when my mom and I landed at the Salt Lake City airport. As soon as we got off the plane I was ready to head to a store to buy some souvenirs. My favorite thing that I got that first day is a Hippo plush wearing a Salt Lake City shirt. After we checked in to our hotel we went looking for somewhere to eat. We ended up eating  at Buca Di Beppo.  I love pasta so that is what I got there. After dinner we walked around downtown for a bit before going back to our hotel. The next day we had plans to see two attractions. The first one was Red Butte Gardens. This huge garden is simply amazing to look at. There is just so much to see. I love the roses and the bee houses. Since I’m a big kid at heart the children’s garden was my favorite. If you’re ever in Salt Lake City I highly recommend going there. Next we went to we went next door to the natural history museum. This is a great museum to explore. I enjoyed seeing the dinosaur exhibit and this exhibit that they had set up on archeology. I also enjoyed watching the ants that were in a globe-shaped ant house. After our two big adventures we headed over to the City Creek Center which is a mall in Salt Lake City. The mall is pretty awesome because it has a river that runs through it and a sky bridge that connects two parts of the mall together. We went to Lush and I got two bath bombs we also went  to this restaurant there called Core Life. They have some really great tasting food that’s also healthy as well. We also went to a souvenir store that was just a little bit of a walk from the mall. I got this really cute book there called Hello Utah. It is a children’s book but I just fell in love with it. I wonder if there is a California book in the same series. That wraps up part one of my Utah adventure. Thanks for reading!

This was my first time ever going river rafting and I was a little nervous but excited at the same time. It was scary at some parts but I enjoyed it overall. There was a photographer that got some great pictures of us! That night we went to Black Bear Diner and I got some fun pictures there too.

Weekend road trip May 2021 Part one

Hello, my bucket list friends! This weekend I went on a family road trip. It was a big adventure and I can’t wait to tell you more about it so here we go! My adventure started on Friday after work. When we began the drive up to Redding it took about four hours. We made a stop for dinner. After dinner we went straight to the hotel to get some sleep. We had a big day ahead of us. On Saturday we started off our day with a tour of the Shasta caverns. After driving and parking we had to take a boat and a bus to get to the caverns. I had a fun time on the boat. Once we got to the caverns I was amazed at how beautiful they were! I felt like an explorer as I walked around the caverns taking pictures. If you ever get the chance to check it out I highly recommend it! After exploring the caverns it was time to explore the gift shop. I got some fun things at the gift shop including a hat and a magnet. Are next adventure was at McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park. It was hard to get to because there were so many people there. It took a long time to get in. Also finding a parking spot seemed impossible. My mom and I went to look at the falls while my dad looked for a parking spot. I didn’t think that we would be able to enjoy the park altogether. However eventually we were able to find a parking space and go explore all together. We looked at the beautiful waterfall and then took a hike around the waterfall. There were so many people looking at the waterfall that it was overwhelming for me. I could understand why there was so many people there it was such a beautiful place and it was also a holiday weekend. However after we looked at the waterfall and and started on our hike, we noticed that there were not near as many people around. The hike was relaxing and enjoyable. After the hike we went to the store that they have at the park. I got some great souvenirs including a teddy bear and a snow globe. When we got back to Redding, we stopped at the Goodwill. I found some great things while shopping at Goodwill. Some of my favorites include a Barbie doll from 1997, a Barbie car, and lots of Mary-Kate and Ashley books. It was truly an adventure filled day!
