Going to the Jelly Belly factory and more birthday fun

Hello, my bucket list, friends! My birthday was on August 26th. On the day of my birthday I went to the Jelly belly factory and I can’t wait to tell you about it. I also have some other birthday fun to share with you, so let’s get to it.

August 21- On this day I went to a birthday dinner with my friend. Before dinner, we went to the candy store that I used to work by. I got some bubblegum cigarettes and stickers. At dinner, they brought me an ice cream sundae with sprinkles. It was a great early birthday celebration.

August 25th – The day before my birthday, I went to a party supply store after work to get a birthday button and to look for other birthday things I thought would be fun to have for my birthday. I got the birthday button, but I also got a birthday necklace and some other fun things, including a new TY Beanie Baby.

August 26th ( My Birthday !) – On this day, I went to the Jelly Belly Factory. The factory is about 90 minutes away from me. On the way, we stopped at Starbucks, where I got a free drink for my birthday! We met my sister at the Jelly Belly Factory, and we all went on the tour together. Your ticket for the tour is a hat. I had been here before but we did not have time to take the tour. I was excited to see the factory. The factory does not run on the weekends, but you still get to see the factory. I really enjoyed seeing the factory from the windows. During the tour, there was a game where you guarded a goal from flying jelly belly beans. We got the 5th highest score. After the tour we went to the store. The store was filled with so many fun things. I loved the stickers that I got there. One really fun thing that is sold at the store is big bags of Belly Flops. Belly Flops are jelly belly beans that have imperfections. I got some bags of those as well. There is also a Jelly Belly museum across the parking lot from the factory. I enjoyed the museum there were some great things in there to take pictures with. If you get a chance to visit the Jelly Belly factory, I highly recommend going. After the factory we went to lunch before heading back home. That night, I had a birthday dinner at Olive Garden. The food was good but it was a very busy night at the restaurant so I decided to get cake at the Cheesecake Factory. It was a great way to end the night.

Some photos and highlights from this week!

It is no secret that I love taking pictures and writing about the fun little things in my everyday life. I thought it would be fun to share some pictures and things that I enjoyed this week. I’m also going to include Friday in this post since I will be including Monday in my next weekend post. Let’s get to it!

Monday – On this day, I worked the opening shift. I got to town early because sometimes it can be hard to get Uber to come to my house quickly. I went to the coffee shop like normal, but I decided that I did not want to wait there until my shift started. Even though I had not planned on it , I went to the thrift store. I was excited when I got to the thrift store, and I saw that there was a buy one get one free on stuffed animals. I got a Build a Bear and a TY Bennie Boo. They were priced at $5 each, so I got them both for only $5. I also got some books and a bag of erasers. After work, I went to Starbucks and went for a walk in the park. That evening, I went on a walk to go see my favorite ponies.

Tuesday – I worked the opening shift this day. Before work I went to the coffee shop and after work I went to the candy store. I was having a craving for chocolate. I got a bunch of chocolate from the bulk bins a, lollypop with a plastic mouth attached, and I also got a soda to do a review of. I have not tried the soda yet, but I plan to soon. I went to the park after work, and I took this really cute selfie on a swing. I ended up making it my profile picture for Facebook and Instagram.

Wednesday – I had this day off. I decided to focus on my writing. I published an article on Vocal Media ( You can read it HERE ). I also published my weekend blog post. ( You can read it HERE ) Other than that, I just stayed home and relaxed except for going on a walk to see my favorite ponies.

Thursday – On this day, I worked the closing shift. It was a normal day with coffee before work. Someone brought donuts to work, and that is all I have to say about Thursday.

Friday – On this day, I worked the opening shift my. My friend took me to work but before that we went to Starbucks. It was great to have coffee with a friend. It is always harder to see friends when everyone’s schedule is different. That was a wonderful way to start my day! My shift went well, and I went to the candy store afterward. I got a ring pop and another lollypop that has plastic lips attached. That evening, I went to Safeway, where I got two juices that have toys as part of the lid, and I also got cupcakes that come with rings. They only had the ones with rings in a large container, so I had some and took the rest to work.

Another happy weekend blog post!

Hello, my bucket list, friends! It is time for another post about another weekend. I did work both days this weekend, but since I enjoy my work, it is fine with me. However, I am going to include Friday in this post, and I did have that day off. With that said, let’s get to it!

Friday – As I mentioned above, I did not have work on this day. I ended up staying home all day except for going on a walk to see my neighbor’s ponies. It turns out that they are both ponies! I thought the bigger one was a horse, but now I know for sure that they are both ponies! We gave them carrots and they were very happy about that. I also published a blog post about my job on Friday. ( You can read it HERE) It was a nice relaxing day off.

Saturday – I worked the opening shift on this day. I did have time before work for two of my favorite things, and those things are coffee and thrift shopping. I went to Starbucks, and I did a mobile order like I normally do. However, it was very busy in Starbucks that morning, and it took a little while to get my order, but that was fine. I still had time to go to a local thrift shop before work. At the thrift store, I started in the book section where I got three American Girl books. In the toy section, I got this really cool Crayola activity kit. The other things I got during this thrift shopping trip are a pair of coke a cola sunglasses, a sticker puzzle activity set, a craft punch shaped like a sea horse, and a pen holder.I was happy with my thrift finds for the day. After thrift shopping, I walked to work. I love being at work. I work at an indoor plant store and it is a relaxing place to be. During my break from work, I walked down to the candy store, and I got a small bag of bulk candy, Later on that evening, I went to the store and got some yummy food! It was a good day!

Sunday – On Sunday, I worked the closing shift. I started the day off by getting coffee and a donut and going to church. After church, I had some time before my work started, so I went back home for a while. During work, I went to the candy store again on my break. After work, I got some Kinder Joy eggs at Walgreens. It was a good way to end the weekend.

Blogmas day 12, an after church event, a new hair bow, and Trader Joe’s

Hello, my bucket list, friends! Yesterday, I attended a fun event at my church after Sunday service. The event was called Christmas around the world. There was food and activities inspired by different countries. I was helping out with the poinsettia pinwheel craft. I made one, and I also decorated an ornament with stickers! In the afternoon, I went into town to do a few things. There were some highlights from my errands in town. At Walgreens, I got this super cute Christmas themed hair bow along is a bunch of skittles in a plastic candy cane. I also got to go to Trader Joe’s. It had been a while since I had been there. I had seen pictures of some of their seasonal treats, and I really wanted to see what seasonal items were at my local store. I ended up getting two seasonal treats from Trader Joe’s. One was a candy cane, and the other was a container of candy cane chocolate covered almonds. The almonds were so good that I would definitely get them again. I haven’t had the candy cane yet, but I have a feeling it will be good. After all that, I got Starbucks! It was a pretty good day.

Blogmas day 9 cinnamon candy canes!

Hello, my bucket list, friends! Today’s post is very simple. After work yesterday, I went to Whole Foods. I got a few different items, but what I’m most excited to tell you about is the two cinnamon candy canes that I got. I love peppermint, but I also love cinnamon. Whole Foods had a bunch of different flavors of candy canes, but I’m happy that I chose to get two cinnamon ones. I’ve eaten one already, and I will probably have the other soon. I hope all of you are enjoying some treats this month!

Blogmas day 8 a peppermint mocha and a fun Walgreens find!

Hello, my bucket list, friends! It is time for another blogmas post! Yesterday, I had the day off. I stayed home most of the day, but that evening, I went out to Starbucks, Petco, and Walgreens. I decided to get a peppermint mocha at Starbucks since I had not gotten many of them this year. I really enjoyed my peppermint mocha. After Starbucks, we went to Petco. At Petco, I go to have kittens for adoption. I love going to see the kittens. I got some cute pictures of me with one of the kittens. We had one more stop before going home. We had to get toothpaste at Walgreens. Of course, I had to look at the Christmas items! I was excited that they had these plush toys that came with lollipops. I got the snowman plush. This was really an inexpensive item, and it was a nice surprise to see it at Walgreens.

I hope all are having a great month!

Sour Patch Kids Coal review. Another Sour Patch adventure!

Hello, my bucket list friends! It is time for another Sour Patch review! ( You can see my review of Sour Patch Kids popcorn HERE) I bought this product on Tuesday at a candy store near my work. I had some time before my shift started so I stopped by the candy store then I went to get coffee after that but that’s not really important to this post so back to the candy store. I loved seeing all the Christmas candy that was available. When I saw that they had Sour Patch Kids Coal I decided to try it. I had seen photos of Sour Patch Kids Coal but I had not tried it myself. I decided to buy it along with some other things. When it was time to try the candy I was curious what shape they would be. Would they be flat or round. Well it turns out the were kind of gumdrop shaped. Meaning they had a flat bottom and a round top. However they were not as tall as gumdrops are. As for the taste these candies are definitely sour candies. I mean they really pack a punch! Usually when I eat candy I eat one after another and before I know it I’ve emptied the whole container. I know that’s not a good thing but that’s how it usually happens lol. With this candy I didn’t do that because after a while my tongue started hurting. There are some sour candies that make your tongue hurt and some that don’t do that as much. However this candy is really powerful when it comes to the sourness. These candies have a black raspberry flavor. The flavor was good but the sour was overpowering at times. If you love sour I recommend trying this candy.

Sour Patch Kids popcorn review

Hello,my bucket list friends! It is time for another food review! I really enjoy doing these posts and I love finding items to do reviews on. However I love it even more when I actually remember to write the review on the item that I bought. I’m happy to say that this time I’m actually doing the review. I got this fun snack from Five Below last week. As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to try it. I love popcorn and Sour Patch Kids are one of my favorite kinds of candy. I tried this item on Saturday while I was at work. The taste reminded my of breakfast cereal. Kind of like Lucky Charms. You couldn’t taste the candy in every bite but there were times when you would get a big burst of sour flavor. I really enjoyed eating this snack and it was easy to keep going back for more. The sour flavor was not overwhelming and that made this snack easy to eat because it wasn’t super intense. Overall I would describe Sour patch kids flavored popcorn as a sweet sour and fun snack. I highly recommend trying this especially if you are a Sour Patch fan!
