Three trips to my favorite local thrift store

Hello, my bucket list, friends! This month, I’ve visited my favorite local thrift store three times, and I’m excited to let you know all about it, so let’s get to it!

January 4th

I always enjoy finding fun things at my favorite local thrift store. I like this thrift store for many reasons but one reason is that it has great prices. On this day my favorite thrift store find was an American Girl book. This book was one that came with one of the American girl pets. I was very happy when I saw it on the shelf. I also got some foam stickers, foam stamps, a hair scrunchie that has a smiley face pattern, and more! It was a good thrift shopping trip.

January 14th

On a lot of my thrift shopping trips there is one item that stands out from the rest of my haul The standout item from this thrift shopping trip was a pair of pink converse. I have wanted a pair for awhile and when I saw this pair I knew it was meant to be. I also got some super cute stickers, some crayons, a book, a cute pouch that is perfect for art supplies, and a large container that was full of beads. I have already worn my new shoes that I got on this day and I love them so much!

January 26th

I did not have plans to go thrift shopping on this day but my friend was in town so I ended up meeting her here. I was in a weird mood on this day so I kind of just let myself loose and I just kind bought whatever I wanted to. I got a pretty good haul. If I had to choose a stand out item for this thrift shopping trip I would say that it is a pair of yellow heart shaped sun glasses. I liked that they were yellow I have a good amount of heart shaped sunglasses but I really liked that these were a bright and sunny yellow color. I was also really excited that I got a bunch of stickers including some horse stickers. Some other fun items I got on this day were two plush Peeps bunnies, a notebook with flowers on the cover, glitter glue, erasers shaped like crayons, a package of Crayola colored pencils, three shirts, some socks, and a bag of pens. I also got a Cheeta Girls CD because it reminded me of when I was a teenager. It was a fun thrift shopping trip with my friend.

Thank you for reading about my local thrift shopping adventures this month.

One of my favorite thrift shopping finds, a trip to the mall ,a new phone case and more

Hello, my bucket list, friends! I’m excited to share more of my October fun. In this post, I will share one of my all-time favorite thrift finds! I go thrift shopping a lot and I find a lot of cool stuff but sometimes I find something that I get really excited about and last month I experienced one of those times. I’m very excited to tell you about it so let’s get to it!

10/21/2024 – On this day at work, I got two really fun items. The first one is a Squishmallow Christmas blanket. It is so soft that I’ve loved having it on my bed because the nights have been much colder lately. The other thing I got are Christmas gel clings for my window. I love decorating my window with gel clings, and I love finding gel clings to decorate with.

10/22/2024 – On this day, I went to the mall. I got got some very cute clearance items at Claire’s and some very cute stickers at Daiso. I also went to Taco Bell. I love going to Taco Bell. since the one closest to me closed, I don’t get as many opportunities to go. It was a great evening at the mall. I also went to Target and Starbucks.

10/25/2024 – On this day, I went to my favorite local thrift store. I got some great items as I usually do. This thrift shopping haul includes a bunch of beads, a Build a Bear plush, some small Christmas Squishmallows, Pez dispensers, a bucket hat, stickers, and more! After my thrift shopping fun, I went to get coffee. After coffee, I went to the toy store to get some surprise toys! At work that day, I got a new Squishmallow and a Christmas coloring book. It was a pretty great day!

10/26/2024 – On this day, I went to Starbucks. I also went to work. At work, I got two sets of plastic rings, some chocolate, and a wind-up toy. It was a normal but a good day.

10/27/2024 – I had this day off, and this was the day I got the item that I talked about at the beginning of this post. Before I went to the thrift store, I went to vote, and I went to lunch. When I made it to Savers, I was ready to shop. I went to the normal sections of the thrift store that I usually do. I got a Squishmellow that still has the tag, a bag of hair bows, Barbie dolls, a bag of rubber ducks, and some books. I was also ready to check out when I decided to walk around the store a little bit more. There were some costumes by the regular clothing, and there were two jackets that caught my eye. I could tell that they were military jackets. I tried one of them on, but I noticed that the other jacket had some patches on it. I took a picture of the patch, and I learned that the jacket was from the us Marine Corps. I also learned that the rank was lance corporal. The jacket was priced at $24.00, and that is usually way more than I would pay for a jacket at the thrift store, but this was so much more than any regular jacket. I have a lot of respect for our military, and I knew that I had to give this jacket a good home. After getting the jacket, I found a few more things like some Barbie flash cards and some gel clings. After the thrift store, I went and got coffee. I put my new jacket on when I got home. I took so many pictures in it. I love this jacket so much! I put it on all the time. It is very well made and it is good at keeping me warm. I’m still very surprised that I found this jacket at the thrift store. This was also the day I got my new phone case. I had ordered it and this was the day that it was delivered. It is a fun case with a pink background that has butterflies on it.

What is one of your coolest thrift store finds?

My first Savers haul of 2024

Hello, my bucket list, friends! On Wednesday, I went to Savers for the first time this year. I got to spend a good amount of the there. I got a lot of craft kits, including an American Girl craft kit. I also got two Barbie dolls, a pair of sunglasses, a bag full of American flag pins, and some books. I was hoping that I would find more books than I did. I was really hoping to find some Barbie or American Girl books that I didn’t have, but unfortunately, I didn’t. But I did get some My Little Pony books and two short animal books. One highlight of this thrift shopping trip was when I got this beautiful Justice brand tote bag. It looks like it hasn’t been used at all. I also got a braclet that had the original tag on it. There were  a good amount of Squishmallows here, but I didn’t see any that I really wanted. Overall, I’m happy with my first Savers trip of the year. I  wonder what other items I will get at thrift stores this year.

My latest adventures thrift shopping, break time shopping, and more!

Hello, my bucket list, friends! I’m excited to write this post because last week I got to go to my favorite local thrift store. It had been a while since I had last gone. I used to work close to it so I got to go there a lot. I can’t wait to tell you about the things that I got there so let’s get to it.

October 5 – On this day, I left early for work so that I would have time to go to the thrift store before my shift started. My fist exciting find of my thrift shopping trip was a Barbie book. I was very happy with that find and I continued my shopping. I bought some really fun things at the thrift store, including American girl items, beads, a Pez dispenser, more books, and a bath bomb that has a prize inside. There were American girl dolls, but they were more than I wanted to spend. However, I’m glad I went to the thrift store on this day.

October 6th – On this day, I was off of work. I went to Safeway, and I got some food, of course, but I also got Hot Wheels cars. Safeway is a good place to get Hot Wheels cars. I got four cars. I also got my favorite fruit snacks that come with trading cards and juice that comes with a toy.

October 7th – I worked on this day, but before work, I went to Starbucks and the park. During my break at work, I bought a stamp set and a glitter tattoo kit that was on sale.

October 8th – On this day, I had work later in the day. I started the morning by getting coffee, and then I went to church. It was so good to be back in church since It had been about two weeks since I was last there. I was tired after church, so I went home and took a nap before going to work. At work, I got a kinder Joy egg.

Another happy weekend blog post!

Hello, my bucket list, friends! It is time for another post about another weekend. I did work both days this weekend, but since I enjoy my work, it is fine with me. However, I am going to include Friday in this post, and I did have that day off. With that said, let’s get to it!

Friday – As I mentioned above, I did not have work on this day. I ended up staying home all day except for going on a walk to see my neighbor’s ponies. It turns out that they are both ponies! I thought the bigger one was a horse, but now I know for sure that they are both ponies! We gave them carrots and they were very happy about that. I also published a blog post about my job on Friday. ( You can read it HERE) It was a nice relaxing day off.

Saturday – I worked the opening shift on this day. I did have time before work for two of my favorite things, and those things are coffee and thrift shopping. I went to Starbucks, and I did a mobile order like I normally do. However, it was very busy in Starbucks that morning, and it took a little while to get my order, but that was fine. I still had time to go to a local thrift shop before work. At the thrift store, I started in the book section where I got three American Girl books. In the toy section, I got this really cool Crayola activity kit. The other things I got during this thrift shopping trip are a pair of coke a cola sunglasses, a sticker puzzle activity set, a craft punch shaped like a sea horse, and a pen holder.I was happy with my thrift finds for the day. After thrift shopping, I walked to work. I love being at work. I work at an indoor plant store and it is a relaxing place to be. During my break from work, I walked down to the candy store, and I got a small bag of bulk candy, Later on that evening, I went to the store and got some yummy food! It was a good day!

Sunday – On Sunday, I worked the closing shift. I started the day off by getting coffee and a donut and going to church. After church, I had some time before my work started, so I went back home for a while. During work, I went to the candy store again on my break. After work, I got some Kinder Joy eggs at Walgreens. It was a good way to end the weekend.

My weekend fun, including Savers and Point Lobos!

Hello, my bucket list, friends! This is another weekend blog post, but I did some really fun things this weekend that I’m excited to tell you about, so let’s get to it!

Friday – The big highlight of this day was going to Savers! This was my first thrift shopping trip of 2023 . I was super excited to go to Savers and see what I could find. However, before we went to Savers, we went to Starbucks. I found some really great items to add to my collection. Two of my favorite items that I got were a Barbie doll and a Barbie book that had a picture of the doll that got on the cover. I didn’t realize that until I got home. It was a pleasant surprise. Some other items I got were an Equestria girls doll, a Barbie matching game, a Ty beanie Boo and My Little Pony party invitations. It was a great thrift shopping trip to start the year with. After thrift shopping, I went to Safeway. I go this really amazing cupcake with two rings on it. Friday was a pretty awesome day.

Saturday – Just like Friday, Saturday was a really great day! My mom and I went to Point Lobos. It is a truly beautiful place. The water was such a beautiful color, and the Cypress trees were very interesting to look at. I had a wonderful time hiking and taking in the beautiful views. I also got some fun souvenirs at this cart that was located by the trail head to the Cypress trail. Point Lobos is definitely worth going to if you get the chance. It was so amazingly gorgeous that it was had to believe that it was actually real at times. I highly recommend adding this location to your bucket list. I wish I had had this location on my bucket list because it was so interesting and beautiful. After exploring Point Lobos, we went to Monterey. In Monterey, we got coffee at a place called Tidal Coffee. The coffee was really good here, and so was the veggie burrito. We also got some fancy soaps at a store on Cannery Row. The soap I got has a unicorn toy in it. Then we met my dad for dinner before driving back home. It was a really wonderful day.

Sunday – This day started off with a walk. We got to see my some of my favorite animal friends on our walk. After our walk, we went into town and we went to Petco, got coffee at Starbucks, walked in the park, and I went to two different grocery stores and CVS. At Safeway, I got this plastic egg that has a surprise toy inside. I also want to add that I went down one of the slides at the park. The rest of the day was spent relaxing at home. It was a great way to end the weekend.

Thanks for reading about my fun filled weekend!

Wednesday evening Goodwill trip

Hello, my bucket list friends! Yesterday after work I went on a quick trip to Goodwill because my dad needed to go to the store next door. I never know what I’m going to find when I go to Goodwill. I always wonder what I will add to my collection. This time I got a TY plush , two art kits, an American Girl building block set, and a Barbie doll. The Barbie doll and one of the art kits were from Target. I love how the Goodwill gets items from Target. There were a few Barbies to choose from. I’m really happy with the one I chose because she comes with a lot of accessories. As for the American Girl building set, it was a used item, that looked like it had been well played with. In the box were pieces from Lego sets, and not all the pieces were there but for the price I’m pretty happy with it. Overall I’m happy with my midweek thrift shopping haul.

Wonderful lavender slime and a thrift shopping adventure

Hello, my bucket list friends! I have some fun things I want to tell you about. Let’s start with my visit to the slime kitchen last week. On Friday after work my mom and I went to get massages at the mall. We were both in need of some stress relief. In addition tp the massages I really wanted to check out a new place in the mall called the Slime Kitchen. Before this I hadn’t had a lot of experience with slime. I love playdough and I had played with things that were similar to slime a while ago but I have not used slime since it has become very popular in recent years. I heard about the Slime Kitchen on the mall’s Instagram page. It looked fun and interesting. After getting massages and going to Claire’s It was time to go to the slime kitchen. I wasn’t sure how it all worked but the staff was very helpful. I ended up choosing cloud slime and I made it lavender scented! I loved how you got to add two little toys into your slime I chose an ice cream cone and a lollipop! I did enjoy making slime. However, it was $25.00 so I probably won’t do it again but it was worth doing once. The next day I went to Savers to do some thrift shopping! It was more crowded then I expected it to be even for a Saturday. However, I was still able to get some pretty awesome items. Some of my favorite things I got that day are a Barbie collector book,a Barbie horse, some American Girl books, and a chalk book that comes with chalk. I also got another book that is summer themed maybe I can read it before summer ends.

An amazing Goodwill trip!

Hello,my bucket list friends! On Thursday, I went thrift shopping! I had not planned on going on thrift shopping that day but my dad had to get some items from the store next door. As you can probably tell by the title of this post it was a really good day for me at the thrift store! One item that I was really excited about finding was the game pretty, pretty princess. I remember this game from when I was a kid and I have been looking for it when I go thrift shopping. I was so happy when I saw it on the shelf. I haven’t counted all the jewelry but it from what I can tell it’s all there or mostly all there at least. This was a great find! Another great find from this thrift trip was a blanket that had some characters from The Lion King two printed on it. I also got some Tennie Beanies and a Barbie calendar. I also really love the plush purple cat that I got. It’s originally from Build a Bear Workshop and it has a cute little bow on its tail! I wish all thrift shopping trips could be like this.
