Another happy weekend blog post!

Hello, my bucket list, friends! It is time for another post about another weekend. I did work both days this weekend, but since I enjoy my work, it is fine with me. However, I am going to include Friday in this post, and I did have that day off. With that said, let’s get to it!

Friday – As I mentioned above, I did not have work on this day. I ended up staying home all day except for going on a walk to see my neighbor’s ponies. It turns out that they are both ponies! I thought the bigger one was a horse, but now I know for sure that they are both ponies! We gave them carrots and they were very happy about that. I also published a blog post about my job on Friday. ( You can read it HERE) It was a nice relaxing day off.

Saturday – I worked the opening shift on this day. I did have time before work for two of my favorite things, and those things are coffee and thrift shopping. I went to Starbucks, and I did a mobile order like I normally do. However, it was very busy in Starbucks that morning, and it took a little while to get my order, but that was fine. I still had time to go to a local thrift shop before work. At the thrift store, I started in the book section where I got three American Girl books. In the toy section, I got this really cool Crayola activity kit. The other things I got during this thrift shopping trip are a pair of coke a cola sunglasses, a sticker puzzle activity set, a craft punch shaped like a sea horse, and a pen holder.I was happy with my thrift finds for the day. After thrift shopping, I walked to work. I love being at work. I work at an indoor plant store and it is a relaxing place to be. During my break from work, I walked down to the candy store, and I got a small bag of bulk candy, Later on that evening, I went to the store and got some yummy food! It was a good day!

Sunday – On Sunday, I worked the closing shift. I started the day off by getting coffee and a donut and going to church. After church, I had some time before my work started, so I went back home for a while. During work, I went to the candy store again on my break. After work, I got some Kinder Joy eggs at Walgreens. It was a good way to end the weekend.

Thanks for reading about my weekend!

My weekend fun, including Savers and Point Lobos!

Hello, my bucket list, friends! This is another weekend blog post, but I did some really fun things this weekend that I’m excited to tell you about, so let’s get to it!

Friday – The big highlight of this day was going to Savers! This was my first thrift shopping trip of 2023 . I was super excited to go to Savers and see what I could find. However, before we went to Savers, we went to Starbucks. I found some really great items to add to my collection. Two of my favorite items that I got were a Barbie doll and a Barbie book that had a picture of the doll that got on the cover. I didn’t realize that until I got home. It was a pleasant surprise. Some other items I got were an Equestria girls doll, a Barbie matching game, a Ty beanie Boo and My Little Pony party invitations. It was a great thrift shopping trip to start the year with. After thrift shopping, I went to Safeway. I go this really amazing cupcake with two rings on it. Friday was a pretty awesome day.

Saturday – Just like Friday, Saturday was a really great day! My mom and I went to Point Lobos. It is a truly beautiful place. The water was such a beautiful color, and the Cypress trees were very interesting to look at. I had a wonderful time hiking and taking in the beautiful views. I also got some fun souvenirs at this cart that was located by the trail head to the Cypress trail. Point Lobos is definitely worth going to if you get the chance. It was so amazingly gorgeous that it was had to believe that it was actually real at times. I highly recommend adding this location to your bucket list. I wish I had had this location on my bucket list because it was so interesting and beautiful. After exploring Point Lobos, we went to Monterey. In Monterey, we got coffee at a place called Tidal Coffee. The coffee was really good here, and so was the veggie burrito. We also got some fancy soaps at a store on Cannery Row. The soap I got has a unicorn toy in it. Then we met my dad for dinner before driving back home. It was a really wonderful day.

Sunday – This day started off with a walk. We got to see my some of my favorite animal friends on our walk. After our walk, we went into town and we went to Petco, got coffee at Starbucks, walked in the park, and I went to two different grocery stores and CVS. At Safeway, I got this plastic egg that has a surprise toy inside. I also want to add that I went down one of the slides at the park. The rest of the day was spent relaxing at home. It was a great way to end the weekend.

Thanks for reading about my fun filled weekend!

Wednesday evening Goodwill trip

Hello, my bucket list friends! Yesterday after work I went on a quick trip to Goodwill because my dad needed to go to the store next door. I never know what I’m going to find when I go to Goodwill. I always wonder what I will add to my collection. This time I got a TY plush , two art kits, an American Girl building block set, and a Barbie doll. The Barbie doll and one of the art kits were from Target. I love how the Goodwill gets items from Target. There were a few Barbies to choose from. I’m really happy with the one I chose because she comes with a lot of accessories. As for the American Girl building set, it was a used item, that looked like it had been well played with. In the box were pieces from Lego sets, and not all the pieces were there but for the price I’m pretty happy with it. Overall I’m happy with my midweek thrift shopping haul.

Wonderful lavender slime and a thrift shopping adventure

Hello, my bucket list friends! I have some fun things I want to tell you about. Let’s start with my visit to the slime kitchen last week. On Friday after work my mom and I went to get massages at the mall. We were both in need of some stress relief. In addition tp the massages I really wanted to check out a new place in the mall called the Slime Kitchen. Before this I hadn’t had a lot of experience with slime. I love playdough and I had played with things that were similar to slime a while ago but I have not used slime since it has become very popular in recent years. I heard about the Slime Kitchen on the mall’s Instagram page. It looked fun and interesting. After getting massages and going to Claire’s It was time to go to the slime kitchen. I wasn’t sure how it all worked but the staff was very helpful. I ended up choosing cloud slime and I made it lavender scented! I loved how you got to add two little toys into your slime I chose an ice cream cone and a lollipop! I did enjoy making slime. However, it was $25.00 so I probably won’t do it again but it was worth doing once. The next day I went to Savers to do some thrift shopping! It was more crowded then I expected it to be even for a Saturday. However, I was still able to get some pretty awesome items. Some of my favorite things I got that day are a Barbie collector book,a Barbie horse, some American Girl books, and a chalk book that comes with chalk. I also got another book that is summer themed maybe I can read it before summer ends.

As you can probably tell by the title of this post it was a really good day for me at the thrift store! One item that I was really excited about finding was the game pretty, pretty princess. I remember this game from when I was a kid and I have been looking for it when I go thrift shopping. I was so happy when I saw it on the shelf. I haven’t counted all the jewelry but it from what I can tell it’s all there or mostly all there at least. This was a great find! Tuesday’s Savers trip :)

Hello, my bucket list friends! On Tuesday I went to Savers with my mom. Tuesday is senior discount day at my local Savers. It is a good day to vist because my mom can get 30% off. The doll section at my Savers has gotten a little better lately and I ended up getting four dolls on Tuesday. One of my favorite finds from this trip was a tin box that was from Tokyo Disney. I love the art on the front of it. Another one of my favorite finds from this thrifting adventure was 102 Dalmatians book that came with posters. I remember when this movie came out so it was a really cool thing to find. I did good with books in general on this thrift trip. I got some American Girl books and some other interesting books. I also got this really nice painting set. It was a successful thrift shopping adventure!

Thrifting on a Tuesday

Hello,my bucket list friends! It’s no secret that I love to go thrift shopping. I usually go on the weekends because I don’t work however, that’s when most people like to go as well. I decided to go thrift shopping on a week day. Last Tuesday my mom and I went to Savers. Tuesday is senior discount day so it was still crowded but my mom qualified for the discount so that was good. I got a good amount of items like I almost always do when I go to Savers. The items I got on this trip include, a bunch of Discovery Girls magazines, a Barbie book, a My Little Pony play-doh set, a Lion King Keychain, and a Barbie doll. There was not a large selection of dolls I hope there are more the next time I go to Savers. I also got a robot bank art kit. I’m excited to paint  it. Oh I also got a Keychain from Disney’s paradise pier hotel. I stayed in that hotel a long time ago and I was so excited when I saw the Keychain. Thanks for reading about my thrift shopping fun.

Goodwill, Savers and an amazing find!

Hello, my bucket list friends! I’m excited to tell you about my latest thrift shopping adventures. Including one item that I’m very happy that I found. On Thursday I went on a quick trip to Goodwill. I I got some great items including a Melissa and Doug craft kit, a Barbie book that still had the stickers in it, and a set of Disney markers that came from the theme parks. I’m excited to use the Melissa and Doug craft kit that I got. I love the wooden heart-shaped beads. On Friday after work I went to Savers. When I walked over to the toy section I saw a large horse toy on the shelf. I wonder if it could be an American girl horse toy because it seemed large enough. I went over and looked at it and sure enough the tag on the leg said American girl. I was so excited! I love finding American Girl products but I was super excited to find this one. I think I’m going to do a photo shoot with my dolls and the horse. My other savers finds include some ’90s Beanie Babies, some Barbie dolls including one with a really awesome hair, a spin art kit, a set of Lisa Frank erasers, and a Christmas plate from the ’70s. I had a lot of fun at Savers and I spent more time there than I thought I did. I wonder what my next big thrift find will be.
