My latest weekend adventures!

Hello,my bucket list friends! It’s time for another weekend blog post! This weekend I went to a local attraction that I had never been to before and went thrift shopping. I’m excited to tell you all about that and more! Before we dive into my weekend I just wanted to say that I usually start my weekend posts with what I did on Friday. However,I already covered that in another post. ( You can read about it HERE) Now, with all being said let’s get into my weekend adventures.

Saturday – My big adventure on Saturday was going to visit Hakone Gardens for the first time. This attraction is pretty close to where I live but I had never visited it before. Before we went to the garden my mom and I stopped at Starbucks for some cold drinks because it was a hot day. When we got to the gardens we parked in the large parking lot. I was both happy and surprised to see that it wasn’t very busy. We went to the gift shop to buy our tickets for the garden. I also got some souvenires. After the gift shop it was time to explore the gardens. There where many beautiful things to see in Hakone Gardens. Some of my favorites are the water fall, the Koi fish in the pond, the bamboo garden and this cute little bridge. I had a fun time taking pictures and walking around the gardens. There were some spots where there was a really good view. There was some construction going on so we didn’t get to explore all of the paths around the garden but I’m very happy with what we were able to see especially the waterfall. Waterfalls are so relaxing to watch and listen to. I also liked that there was a good amount of shade in the gardens because it was a very hot and sunny day. After enjoying the garden we went to one of my favorite Goodwill locations. I did not get a huge haul on this thrift trip but I did find some fun things that I was excited to take home with me. Goodwill gets items from Target that they didn’t sale and on this thrift shopping adventure every thing I got except for one thing came from the Target section. The one item that I got that was not from Target was a craft kit. This craft kit comes with a roll of tape that has designs on it and markers to color it with. This was an interesting craft kit and I was happy to have found it at the Goodwill. The other things that I got that were from the Target section where a wooden craft kit, an ice skating Barbie doll, and some summer themed bubbles. I’m happy with my small but awesome thrift haul. After Goodwill we went to Starbucks again for more cold drinks because it was a very hot day.

Sunday – I did some errands on Sunday. I was also having bad muscle pain on my side so I didn’t have that much fun when I was out running errands. However I still went to Starbucks and I also went to Safeway and got chocolate that had prizes inside. I’m happy to say that I’m feeling much better now and I was still able to enjoy my weekend.

One four day weekend and one regular weekend!

Hello, my bucket list friends! It looks like I’ve fallen behind on my weekend blog posts,so the best thing to do in a time like this is to combine the posts! That’s right my friends in this post I will be covering what I did this weekend plus what I did over the long 4th of July weekend. I have a lot to cover in this post so let’s get to it!

Fourth of July weekend

Friday – After work on Friday, I went thrift shopping at Savers. I had a coupon and I was excited to use it. When I went to the store I was disappointed to see that there were not many dolls there. However, I still manged to find some fun things that I was excited to welcome to my collection. My favorite item I got was this American Girl puzzle set that comes with a frame to put the puzzle in. Some of my other favorites from this thrift ship adventure include a pair of Old Navy shorts, a squishy plush owl from TY, a Disney mug from the Allstar Sports resort, and a unicorn from Build a Bear Workshop that had a cute outfit on. It was a good way to start off this long weekend. On Saturday I went to Starbucks and the Dollar Tree. At the Dollar Tree I got a set of 4th of July magnets and a pop bracelet that I’m actually wearing right now. On Saturday evening I went with my parents to see Point of Grace in concert. The concert was in a beautiful venue that was in the middle of a bunch of redwood trees. The concert was great! I’m so glad we got to go and see it. Sunday was the day before the 4th of July. I went to Starbucks of course. I also went to Safeway. At Safeway I got one of my favorite things. Candy that comes with a toy inside. On July 4th I started my celebration by doing a July 4th craft kit. My mom and I went to a local park that was having a 4th of July celebration. We road the train that they have there. We also listened to an orchestra that was performing at the park. My work was also was closed on the 5th so I had an extra day to sleep in and take it easy. I took a bath with two bath bombs and I went to vist my horse friend Dominic. It was a pretty awesome long weekend.

Normal two day weekend. – Last weekend was a pretty normal and a pretty relaxed weekend. On Friday after work I went to Target. My main goal at Target was to get bath bombs. I got four bath bombs that had prizes inside. I also got another Barbie doll for my collection. When Saturday came I didn’t have any solid plans but I did end up going to Starbucks, Yogurtland, and a local park. It had been a while since I went to Yogurtland. I was happy to go again. When we got to the park I was surprised to see that it was not very crowded. I walked with my mom and Axle ( a super cute dog) then I went to the playground to go down the slide. On Sunday I decided to use two of the bath bombs I got from Target. I also drew my summer picture that day. It was a simple but an overall enjoyable weekend.

Drawing a summer picture!

Hello, my bucket list friends! Back in 2010 I started drawing a picture to celebrate summer. I did miss 2011 but other than that I’ve been doing it ever since. Today was the day I drew this year’s picture. I used colored pencils and crayons for this year’s picture. I’m really happy with the way my picture looks. I was just kind of making things up as I went when I drew this picture. However, I’m very happy to have this drawing as a part of my art collection.

Montana adventure part 4

Hello, my bucket list friends! Welcome to the last part of my Montana adventure. I’m excited to tell you about the last part of this fun vacation so let’s get to it!

Montana adventure part 4

Day 7

This was our last full day in Montana. We had a few more things that we wanted to do before we headed for home the next day. Our first stop was the Yellowstone Kelly interpretive site. It’s a interesting place with a lot of information about the man known as Yellowstone Kelly. After exploring the interpretive site we went on a walk before getting an Uber to the Yellowstone county museum. I’m really glad that we went to this museum it was one of our favorites. The museum had exhibits inside and out. My favorites are the big train outside of the museum and the exhibit about baseball inside. This museum also had a gift shop and I got a really nice snow globe. The museum is located next the airport. If you ever fly into Billings and have the time I highly recommend going to see this museum. After our museum it was time for something that we were both really looking forward to massages! We had made appointments at the Massage Envy in Billings for some much needed relaxation. After our massages we went to eat. Then we headed back to our hotel to pack. I  really enjoyed my last full day in Montana!

Day 8

On day eight we spent a lot of time in airports. Our flight wasn’t until evening but check out time was noon so we spent quite a few hours in the Billings airport before our first flight. The one highlight of spending that much time in the Billings airport was getting a huckleberry chocolate bar! Our first flight took us to Salt Lake City. After spending some more time in that airport we were headed for home! I had great time in Montana! Thanks for reading.

Montana adventure part 3

Hello,my bucket list friends! Welcome to part 3 of my Montana adventure! I can’t wait to tell you more about this fun adventure so let’s get going!

Montana adventure part 3

day 5

On day five we went to check out a Goodwill store in Billings. I like going thrift shopping in different places because every area has a different style. I really enjoyed the Goodwill in Billings. It was very clean and organized. I was able to find some nice things including a book on how to style an American girl doll’s hair, a TY beanie boo puzzle, a shirt with purple stripes and a few DVDs. After thrift shopping we went to down town Billings for lunch. We went to the Montana Brewing Company. I really enjoyed the flat bread that I had there. If you are ever in Billings I would recommend eating here. After lunch we took a walk around downtown. It was a Sunday and most places were closed. It felt weird walking around downtown with hardly anyone else around. That night we went for a walk at a park. The park had a beautiful river but it also had lots of mosquitoes so we had to cut our time there short.  Overall it was a nice relaxing day except for the mosquitoes!

day 6

On this day we had a booked a tour that would take us to some of the most popular spots around Billings. We got picked in a pretty amazing Jeep. Then we were on to our first stop at the Little Big Horn battle field. This well known historical place is worth a visit. There is a lot to see there. After exploring the battle field we went on to explore Pompey’s Pillar. The pillar is mostly famous because Clark of Luis and Clark carved his name there. The area itself was beautiful and I really enjoyed exploring it! After that we made a quick stop for lunch before going to explore the Moss mansion. Going in to this house was like going back in time. I loved they way it was decorated. They also had a game going on at the mansion where they hid school supplies in each room. I wasn’t keeping count of how many I found but it was fun to see what I could spot as we explored each room. After we finished exploring we stopped at the gift shop. Then it was time to go on to our last stop of the day. The last spot the we explored that day was Pictograph Caves state park. This park is well known for it’s cave paintings. Even though a lot of the cave paintings have chipped away you can still see them a little bit. I  heard that you can see them better on a rainy day. Even without the drawings the caves are pretty cool to look at. After our very fun tour we went back to the hotel for some much needed rest! This day was filled with lots of adventure.
