Power outage life !

Hello,my bucket list friends ! As many of you have probably seen on the news California is experiencing planed power outages due to winds and fire danger. Since I don’t really have anything else to blog about right now, let’s talk about the power outage here we go !

Power outage life !

Here’s the thing I’ve lived in the mountains my whole life. I’m no stranger to power outages , fallen trees and even fallen power poles. When I heard about the planned power outage I wasn’t really that upset about it, I wasn’t excited about it of course but since I’m used to power outages and many people in my neighborhood including my family have generators I knew how things would go. This is the second time we have been effected by the scheduled outages. The first time was about a week ago and lasted for a day. With this outage we are going on day four. Yes, it is inconvenient even with our generator there are things we can’t do such as wash clothes and use the microwave. We also have to turn the generator of at night because it is on the noisy side but hey that’s what flash lights are for. Other then that life has pretty much continued on as normal. I know for the people who don’t have generators things have been harder for them but overall things feel pretty much the same. I do hope that these scheduled outagesĀ  stop soon so the news can talk about something else maybe even something happy. I know that’s very unlikely but a girl can dream!

E bay haul September 2019 part 1

Hello,my bucket list friends ! Recently I did a shopping spree on E bay to find some items that I haven’t been able to find at the Good will. My two main focuses were American Girl doll clothes and first generation My Little Pony toys. I can’t wait to show you what I got so here we go !

E bay haul September 2019 part 1

American Girl Doll clothes- I really wanted to get some new clothes for my American Girl doll Clover but I didn’t want to buy them new because they are pretty expensive. I went on E bay to find some used American Girl clothes at an affordable price. It was harder then I thought it would be. If you look on E bay there are a lot of people selling home made or other brands of doll clothes that will fit American Girl Dolls but that are not American Girl brand clothes. Now there is nothing wrong with these kinds of doll clothes it just wasn’t what I was looking for. When I did find American Girl Doll clothes the auctions were competitive. However I was able to get some cute dolls clothes that wereĀ  from the American Girl place in Chicago. I was very excited to put them on Clover and of course they looked great on her!

My Little Pony Moon Dancer G1

I’ve been wanting to add some G1 Ponies to my collection also known as the Ponies that came out in the 80’s. I found that it was much easier to buy G1 ponies one by one instead of bidding on a bunch of them in one lot. I bought a few ponies and Moon Dancer was the first one that came. I just have to say she is so beautiful ! I’m very happy to add her to my pony collection.

My Little Pony Sweet Stuff G1

Sweet Stuff was my 2nd G1 pony to arrive from E bay! I’m very excited to welcome her in my collection!Ā  I love her hair and her overall look.

American Girl inner star universityĀ  book

I love American Girl books but I had never gotten the chance to read one of these books before. The book I got it called A Girl’s Best Friend. The Inner Star University books are in the same style as theĀ choose your own adventure books. As you read through the story you get to make choices for the main charter. It’s up to you how the story goes! There are more books in this series I hope to get more sometime.

Fun with arts and crafts kits

Hello, my bucket list friends, I love being creative and making fun works of art ! I often buy arts and crafts kits and then use them in my down time. I’ve been having fun with the craft kits and art supplies that I have on my art shelf. I can’t wait to tell you all about it. Here we go.

Fun with arts and crafts

Sand art necklace kit – I got this fun and simple kit at the Dollar Tree . It came with a small plastic heart that had a loop on the cap to make a necklace. It also came with brightly colored sand and a tool to move the sand around but did not include any string for a necklace. I had a fun time pouring the sand into the heart and watching the bright colors make fun patterns. I’m happy with the way this project turned out.

Bracelets

Now, it’s time for one of my all-time favorite art projects. Pipe cleaner bracelets! I also got the supplies for this craft at the Dollar Tree. All I needed for this craft were some pipe cleaners and beads the Dollar Tree had both colorful pipe cleaners and colorful beads . I had a good time putting the beads onto the pipe cleaners. I loved the way the bracelets looked when I put them on. This is a fun and easy craft I recommend it !

Valentine’s day painting

And here is another Dollar Tree craft kit! This Valentine’s day themed paint kit had two cute little teddy bears holding hands. As normal with these craft kits the paint was not very high quality but it was a lot of fun to paint the very cute bears. When the painting dried it was a little hard to see parts of the original picture underneath. If I used water color paint it may have turned out better. I think I’ll do that next time!

Summer wrap up 2019

Hello my bucket list friends I guess it’s time to say goodbye to summer since it is the last day of August and labor day will soon be here. So without out further delay let’s say goodbye to my favorite season.

I have a hard time saying goodbye to summer but I also enjoy looking back on all the fun times I had. Ok ,where do I start This summer was jam packed with fun! Let’s just go over some of the big highlights. I saw some great summer movies including Toy story 4 and the Lion King, I went on my big summer shopping spree, crossed four things off my bucket list ( you can read about them HERE, HERE , HERE and HERE . )Ā  I had an amazing vacation to Portland were I visited the world’s largest book store, walked around some beautiful gardens , explored the zoo and an awesome science museum. I spent some time with some pretty awesome people. Painted a very cute ceramic bunny at petroglyph. Oh and how can I forget about the beautiful weather. Yes, some days it was hot but I just love the sunshine. The more I write about my summer the more fun things I remember like the amazingĀ  day trips I took to Monterrey and San Francisco. In Monterrey I got to explore the 17 mile drive and take some fun pictures at Selfieville. In San Francisco I took a boat tour, went to aquarium of the bay, and took a bus tour around the city. In conclusion my summer was a lot of fun and I can’t wait until next year

Bucket list # 218 get acupuncture

Hello, my bucket list friends ! I crossed another item off my bucket list and I can’t wait to tell you about it so here we go !

Bucket list # 218 get acupuncture

Sometimes I talk to other people about the items on my list and when I mentioned this item it turned out I was not the only one who wanted to give acupuncture a try. For this bucket list adventure I was joined by my sister and my cousin. We started off the day with an awesome breakfast at Black Bear diner. After that we went to a mall for a bit then it was time for our acupuncture appointments.Ā  Since there was only one doctor working at the health center that day ,our appointments were all a half hour apart.Ā  When it was my turn I walked from the waiting room to an area that was just behind the wall that separated the waiting room from the treatment rooms. I sat down at a table across from the doctor and I told her about my shoulder pain ,after asking me some questions about my medical history and taking my vital signs it was time to go to one of the treatment rooms and begin my acupuncture experience. The health center we were at also does massage so it was no surprise that that treatment room looked just like a room at a massage clinic. When it came time to put the needles in I was nervous .I knew the doctor could tell I was nervous because she told me to relax. I did my best to relax my muscles and before I knew it the needles started going into my shoulders and the surrounding area some of the needles I barley felt as they went in some of them pinched a little bit when they went in. After just a little while all the needles were in. The doctor left the room and told me she would be back in 30 mins. As I laid there in the room I felt very relaxed I was close to falling a sleep at certain points. It was more relaxing then I thought it would be. Before I knew it the doctor was back to remove the needles. After the treatment my shoulder felt better. I enjoyed this experience and I hope to do acupuncture on my knee sometime.

San Francisco day trip Aug. 2019

Hello, my bucket list friends ! Earlier this month my mom and I went on a fun day trip to San Francisco. I can’t wait to tell you all about it so hold on tight and here we go !

San Francisco day trip Aug. 2019

I’m so blessed that I live only about an hour drive from a major tourist city! I’ve been to San Francisco quite a few times but this city has so much to offer it wasn’t hard to find things there that I haven’t done before. When we got to SF we signed up for a boat tour that passed under the golden gate bridge . ( I’ve walked across the bridge before you can read about it HERE) Before the boat tour we took a walk over to pier 39 and I did one of my favorite things souvenir shopping! I all ready have some souvenirs from my previous trips to San Francisco including some snow globes but I had some things in mind that I was looking for. I found this amazing snow globe that has the whole state of California on one side and San Francisco on the other side . I was so happy when I saw this snow globe I knew I just had to get it ! I also knew I wanted to get a stuffed animal wearing a San Francisco shirt I have quite a few stuff animals wearing shirts from other destinations but I didn’t have one from SF. I got a very cute seal that was wearing a San Francisco sweat shirt I picked out a few other things then it was time for the boat tour ! We were one of the last people to get on the boat but we found some good seats by a window on the upper deck. The boat ride included an audio tour. I enjoyed listening to the audio tour it provided all kinds of interesting facts about the places we were passing. It was so cool to pass under the Golden Gate bridge! The boat was packed full of people so it was hard to get good pictures but I managed to get some good shots of some of the things we passed. After the boat it was time for lunch. Went we went Boudin bakery I loved looking at all bread in fun shapes.Ā  For lunch I had an amazing veggie sandwich . After lunch we went somewhere I’ve been wanting to go for a while the Aquarium of the Bay. This Aquarium was pretty small but it was still fun. I enjoyed looking at the fish and the otters. After enjoying the aquarium we decided to go on a bus tour. We went on the big bus tour. On the big bus tour you can hop on and off the bus at different locations but we decided to stay on the bus for the most of the loop and listen to the tour guide as he gave some interesting information about every stop. We ended up getting off the bus a stop or two before the end of the full loop. When we got of the bus we ended up walkingĀ  around pier 39 some more and we went and looked at the the famous seals. After that we walked to a Starbucks for some food and drinks before heading back home after a fun filled day.

Summer fun catch up ! 8/2019

Hello, my bucket list friends ! I’ve been so busy writing the posts about my vacation to Portland . I’ve gotten behind on telling you all about my summer fun so let’s catch up shall we ?

Summer fun catch up ! 8/2019

Ok, so where do I start ? I know I’ll start with going to see the Lion King after IĀ  got back from Portland. If you knew me when I was young you would know how much of a Lion king fan I am. It’s still one of my favorite movies to this day. When I saw the remake last month I was able to pick out some the lines that were different from the original. I enjoyed the remake it’s was very impressive I recommend going to see if you get the chance. I’ve also been using my Yogurt Land gift card that I won. I’ve been having a fun time treating people to yogurt. My friend and I went to one of our favorite books stores and we picked out blind date books for each other. A blind date book is a book that is wrapped up and you don’t know what it is till after you buy it!Ā  Before I left for Portland I had a fun time celebrating the 4th of July I got some great pictures of the Fire Works . I also got to go to PetroglyphĀ  which is a studio where you paint ceramics and I painted a very cute bunny ! On the last day of July I bought a set of my little pony toys their tails turn to rainbow colors when you put them in water. You know how the saying goes time flies when your having fun and that perfectly sums up Summer for me. I think we are pretty much caught up now so enjoy some pictures of my summer fun!
