Idaho October 2021 part 1

Hello,my bucket list friends! As some of you know I have faimly in Idaho. I try to go visit them a few times a year. This was my second trip this year. I started this trip on Thursday night. Our flight landed pretty late so we didn’t do much that night. On Friday we went to breakfast with my grandparents, then we went thrift shopping. We went to a thrift store chain that we don’t have where I live. At this store some of my favorite things I got were two were Barbie dolls, a Lion King plate, a carousel mug, and a my little pony plush toy. Later that day my mom and I went to the Goodwill. As I was walked back to the toy section something caught my eye. It was a 1995 Barbie comforter! I knew that it would not be easy to get it back home since my suit case is not very big. However that didn’t really matter to me because I was going to get it even if I had to mail to back to myself. Some other items I got there were Barbie books,a Barbie DVD and a Build a Bear plush. After our second thrift store of the day we went to Panera Bread. I love their soup so much! Some other family members came over that night and it was great to see them. The next day we went to Boise to go to the Basque museum. My mom had been here before but it was my first time visiting this museum. It was very interesting I enjoyed looking at pictures from the past. Next to the museum there is an old boarding house you can tour. It is very interesting as well. When you walk through the boarding house it almost feels like you have gone back in time. If you get the chance I recommend checking out the museum and the boarding house. After that we walked around a bit, went to a gift shop and checked out these really cool swings. The swings were a part of a tree sculpture. I love swings and I want to visit this work of art again. After our adventures we met my grandparents for a wonderful lunch. It had been an exciting day but we were not done yet. We went to my aunt and uncle’s house. They have a lot of wonderful animals. I finally got to meet their pigs! I had a great time saying hi to their animals. Before going back to my grandparents house we went to Walmart. They had a great selection of Christmas items! I had a fun time looking at the Christmas decorations! It was a busy but wonderful two days.

Idaho February 2021 wrap-up

Hello, my bucket list friends! It’s time for the last post about this month’s trip to Idaho. My last day in Idaho I went to a family member’s farm and saw some very cute animals. It was like being at a petting zoo! I have so much fun each time I visit the farm. After the farm visit I went out for one last dinner with some other family members before going back home the next morning. I’m back home now and I’m happy to be back in the sunshine but I miss being able to eat inside restaurants!

Hello Idaho 2021

Hello,my bucket list friends! As you can probably tell by title of this post I am in Idaho visiting family. I arrived last night but I’m already having a great time. Highlights so far includes spending time with family and an amazing dog named Jewels, going to Olive Garden, going to Michael’s, and playing in the snow. I’m not a big fan of snow but being up here is making me feel like a kid again.I’ve been having fun making footprints and drawing smiley faces in the snow. Idaho vacation summer 2020 part 4

Hello, my bucket list friends! It’s time for the 4th and final part of my Idaho summer 2020 vacation posts! In this post I do one of my favorite things swimming! Without anymore delay Let’s jump on in to this post!

Idaho Vacation summer 2020 part 4

This post starts out on July 3rd. We didn’t have any solid plans for the 4th of July so I asked my grandparents if we could have a a small get together at their house with local family and they said yes! It was a very small get-together but I wanted to decorate like it was a big party. My mom and I went to the Dollar Tree for decorations. There were not many 4th of July decorations left at the store but we were able to get a a few things like  July 4th window stickers! After the Dollar Tree we went to get food for our  July 4th celebration. My favorite food item that we got were fourth of July cupcakes! After we finished getting everything we needed for our celebration we went to Starbucks and got coffee. That night we walked to the pool by grandparent’s house. We had a really fun time at the pool. There were a few other people there when we first got to the pool but because it was nighttime people started leaving and before we knew it we were the only people there! It was so nice having the pool to ourselves! I really love going swimming and I don’t get to do it very often so that made it extra special! It was overall a really great day now it’s time to tell you about our July 4th celebration. Before our celebration I had a lot of fun decorating the house.  I really liked putting up the window stickers even though not all of them stayed up! My grandparent’s enjoyed our celebration and our family liked the food that we picked out. The best part was that we didn’t have to go anywhere to see fireworks they were all around us!  I had fun taking pictures of the fireworks . The next morning we took a very early flight home.  I had a fun time in Idaho and I can’t wait to tell you about my next adventure.

Idaho summer vacation part 3

Hello, my bucket list friends! In this post we continue on with my Idaho adventure. Get ready for lots of animals and more thrift shopping! Here we go!

Idaho summer vacation part 3

On this day of my vacation we went to visit family and they live on a farm! I love animals and that day I got to see all kinds including horses, goats and some really big dogs! I get happy when I’m around animals and most of the time they are happy to be around me too. The goats were very friendly and funny.  When we left their stall They didn’t want us to leave without them. I have met  the goats before but it was just as exciting to see them this time. I also really like the mini horse Jazz he is such a sweetheart! After visiting with the animals we went to lunch at a very yummy cafe. There was a thrift store in the shopping center where the cafe is. After we ate we all went on a thrift shopping adventure. Some of my favorite finds from that thrift trip are a Photo album with hearts on the cover, Lisa Frank party favors and a Christmas craft kit. After lunch and shopping  we went back to the farm. My mom and I had a really fun time kayaking on the pond. The pond was filled with bullfrogs and their tadpoles I enjoyed looking at them while I was in the kayak. I found kayaking to be very relaxing. I would love to do it again sometime. That concludes part 3 of my summer 2020 Idaho adventure. There is one more part to come before I wrap up this adventure!

Idaho vacation summer 2020 part 2

Hello, my bucket list friends! Welcome to part 2 of my latest Idaho adventure! In this post I’ll tell you about a thrift shopping trip and a really beautiful place that I got to explore for the first time. Without any more delay let’s get to it!

Idaho vacation summer 2020 part 2

On July first my mom and I had a fun day out. First we went to the Goodwill for some thrift shopping. I was able to find some great items including a bag of three Beanie Babies, some shirts a book and two Barbie dolls. After our shopping trip we headed to the Idaho botanical gardens. Neither of us had been here before and I was excited to check it out. Let me start off by saying that I’m so glad we decided to go here. There was just so much to explore including, a fish pond, a swing and of course lots of beautiful flowers. As you enter the gardens there is a large sculpture of a tree made from found objects. It’s worth a good look before you move onto the rest of the garden. It was on the warm side when we were there but there were a good amount of shady places in the garden. There was just so much to look at including quite a few art pieces. I have a fun picture of myself standing in a big nest! If you are a lover of the outdoors I highly recommend this place but remember to bring your walking shoes and your camera. I got so may great pictures in the garden. It would be a great place for a photo shoot. The gardens did have there own store but it was closed while we were there. I hope it is open the next time I visit the garden. I hope you enjoyed part 2 of my adventure this so more to come it part 3!

Idaho vacation Summer 2020 part 1

Hello, my bucket list friends! I recently got back from visiting family and vacationing in Idaho. I’ve been to Idaho a few times but there is always more to explore! Without further delay let’s dive into part 1 of this adventure.

Idaho vacation Summer 2020 part 1

This trip to Idaho started on June 29th When my mom and I took an evening flight to Boise. When we got to Idaho we went straight to my grandparents house. We stayed up pretty late talking it was a good way to start our trip. The next day we went to the Aquarium of Boise. We had been to the aquarium before but it had been awhile so I wanted to go again. This aquarium is small but it is also a lot of fun. My favorite thing to do here is to pet the rays in the touch tank. There are a few of the rays in there that will swim right up to you so you can pet them. I was also able to get some great pictures of the fish when I was at the aquarium. In addition to some pretty awesome fish this aquarium has other animals such as birds and turtles. I’ve to been this aquarium twice now and it has not been busy when I was there but it may get that way on the weekends. In the gift shop there was a photo booth. My mom and I had fun taking pictures and I’m happy how they turned out. There is also a pressed penny machine in the gift shop. I had put change in my purse in case I came across any penny machines while I was in Idaho and I’m glad I did! After I had a flat penny I bought a special bracelet to put the penny in. I also got an aquarium of Boise magnet. After the aquarium my grandparents took us to one of their favorite restaurants called Ling & Louie’s and I have to say that it was really good. The next day we went and explored a place we had never been to before. I can’t wait to tell you all about it in part 2. There you have it part 1 of my latest trip to Idaho!

Idaho adventure fall 2019

Hello, my bucket list friends ! I recently got back home from another adventure to Idaho. Even though I’ve been to Idaho a few times I seem to always find something new to explore each time I visit my grandparents and this time was no different. I can’t wait to tell you more so here we go!

Idaho adventure fall 2019

On OCT. 30th my latest trip to Idaho began. My mom and I landed in Boise around 10 pm. Since our flight got in so late, there wasn’t time to do much that night except for hug my grandparents and reunite with Jewels my grandparents friendly and happy dog. The next day my uncle came over and I mentioned that we were going to Goodwill that day. He suggested that we go to a different Goodwill then we normally go to because it was located next to another thrift store called the Idaho Youth Ranch. Two thrift stores in one parking lot ? I was sold ! We headed to the Goodwill first where I found some amazing items including a Lisa Frank binder, a Mickey Mouse notebook , a large My Little Pony toy, a Mickey Mouse purse , some cool shirts and other things. Then it was on to the next thrift store. At thrift store number two I got a yellow zip up jacket , a My Little Pony DVD a Minnie Mouse shirt that came from one of the Disney parks and a very pretty necklace. After all that shopping we headed to Golden Corral for lunch. I had seen Gold Corral advertisements before but I had never been there myself. The food was pretty good and they had soft serve !! It was a pretty awesome day and that night I handed out lots and lots of Halloween candy ! Now on to the next day !

The next day was also a new month and I was excited for what we had planned that day. We were headed to the Idaho state museum ! The museum had lots to explore. My favorite thing at the museum was the bike tour. There was a bike in front of a TV screen and as you peddled the bike the TV took you on a tour of different places in Idaho. I also enjoyed designing a house on a touch screen , the video about beavers , taking a quiz about Idaho agriculture , getting to move water and leaves on a big touch screen that was made to look like a river, and shopping at the gift shop. After the museum we went to a restaurant that had a yummy buffet with soft serve ! I liked buffets before this trip but now I like them more the ever before. Even after all that fun this day had more fun left to offer.  My aunt and uncle live on a farm and that night I was staying at their house. When I got to the farm the fun started right away! I got to walk a goat and run around an arena with a mini horse. I love animals and I had a lot of fun being around animals that I don’t often get to spend time with. That night I watched season 3 of Free Rein one of my favorite shows! This day was packed full of fun and adventure and the next day had even more fun to offer.

The next morning I woke up early , bundled up for the very cold morning and went with my aunt to feed the animals. I liked feeding the barn cats they reminded me of my cats at home. After all the animals got their breakfast it was time for ours. My uncle made pancakes and told me that he likes to melt peanut butter on his pancakes . I love peanut butter so I decided to give it a try. It was so good! After breakfast I got to do something I had’t done in years. Go horseback ridding ! My aunt has two beautiful horses. She let me ride one while she rode the other. My ridding skills were very rusty but I was more then happy to shake off the rust. I had an extremely fun time ridding and I can’t wait until I get another opportunity to ride again. For lunch we went to a Chinese food buffet and yes, I had more soft serve ! We went to Walmart before going back to my grandparents house. I loved seeing all the Christmas stuff that Walmart had. That night I had to pack up my things because our flight left early the next morning. I’m really glad that I got a backpack at the Good Will or I wouldn’t have had room to bring back all my stuff ! At the Airport the next morning I bought some more souvenirs including a new snow globe for my collection. I had a great visit to Idaho and I can’t wait for the next one !
