Muir woods adventure 2/2022

Hello,my bucket list friends! On Wednesday, I went to Muir Woods, with my mom. It was both of our first times going there. It’s a very popular place and reservations are required. It was on the colder side on the day for our visit but it was still a beautiful day. Muir woods is definitely worth seeing it is a truly beautiful area. There are so many beautiful redwoods there. We went on a hike that was not very difficult but it was amazing! There are different trails that you can chose from. If I ever go back to Muir Woods I wonder what trail I will go on. There is so much to see here, beautyis all around you. There were a lot of plaques that told you about different things in the park such as the animals there and historical facts. Before we went on our hike we went to the cafe for coffee and the gift shop for souvenirs. I have so many great pictures from this day. Some of my favorite pictures I got were of the sun shining through the tress. On the way back to the car, I stopped and took pictures whith this wooden sculpture that depicted the wingspan of different birds. This a place that is definitely worth visiting especially for nature lovers! Another fun thing about this day was driving over the Golden Gate Bridge. We also explored the Suto Baths in San Francisco. This is also a very interesting place that is worth checking out. It was a great day of exploring and I can’t wait for another day like this.

Mystery spot and the boardwalk

Hello,my bucket list friends! Summer is the perfect time of year for local adventures especially if you live in California. Yesterday I went on two local adventures including one place that I’ve never been before. It was a fun day and I can’t wait to tell you more so let’s get to it !

Mystery spot and the boardwalk

The first fun place I went to yesterday was the mystery spot in Santa Cruz. I have wanted to go there for a while. I would always see cars with Mystery spot bumper stickers and I was curious to see what what it was all about. Well it turns out that the Mystery Spot is famous for being a gravitational anomaly . The Mystery spot opened in 1940 and from what I can tell it is still going strong. The was one part of the tour that made me dizzy but I got some great pictures so it was worth it to me. At the end of the tour we all got the famous Mystery Spot bumper stickers! After that adventure my mom and I headed to a place that we had been to before the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. There wasn’t much open at the boardwalk yet but we were able to get ice cream and take a little walk on the beach. It was a fun little day trip and I hope the boardwalk opens it’s rides soon!

Day trip to Gilroy

Hello,my bucket list friends ! Yesterday I went on a little day trip adventure. It was a fun outing and I can’t wait to tell you more about it so here we go!

Day trip to Gilroy

My mom and I both had a free day yesterday so we deiced to go to Gilroy and check out this place called Garlic World. It’s a very cute roadside stop that reminded me of a fruit stand mixed with a farmers market. One part of the store smelled like you had just walked in to a giant clove of garlic! Good thing I love the smell of garlic. My mom and I picked out some candy and drinks . I also got a key chain shaped liked you guessed it , garlic! Outside of the store there was a photo opp where you could put your head through a big wooden garlic cutout. Of course I had to do that ! After Garlic world we headed over to the Gilroy outlets. Going shopping at the Gilroy outlets is on my bucket list but since most of the stores were closed I’ll wait to officially cross that item off. However the California Welcome center at the outlets was open. The had a lot of travel brochures and a penny press machine I was a quarter short so I didn’t do the penny press this time but I did get a cute garlic plush and a few other things there. It was a successful and fun day trip. I hope I get to go back to the outlets soon!

San Francisco day trip Aug. 2019

Hello, my bucket list friends ! Earlier this month my mom and I went on a fun day trip to San Francisco. I can’t wait to tell you all about it so hold on tight and here we go !

San Francisco day trip Aug. 2019

I’m so blessed that I live only about an hour drive from a major tourist city! I’ve been to San Francisco quite a few times but this city has so much to offer it wasn’t hard to find things there that I haven’t done before. When we got to SF we signed up for a boat tour that passed under the golden gate bridge . ( I’ve walked across the bridge before you can read about it HERE) Before the boat tour we took a walk over to pier 39 and I did one of my favorite things souvenir shopping! I all ready have some souvenirs from my previous trips to San Francisco including some snow globes but I had some things in mind that I was looking for. I found this amazing snow globe that has the whole state of California on one side and San Francisco on the other side . I was so happy when I saw this snow globe I knew I just had to get it ! I also knew I wanted to get a stuffed animal wearing a San Francisco shirt I have quite a few stuff animals wearing shirts from other destinations but I didn’t have one from SF. I got a very cute seal that was wearing a San Francisco sweat shirt I picked out a few other things then it was time for the boat tour ! We were one of the last people to get on the boat but we found some good seats by a window on the upper deck. The boat ride included an audio tour. I enjoyed listening to the audio tour it provided all kinds of interesting facts about the places we were passing. It was so cool to pass under the Golden Gate bridge! The boat was packed full of people so it was hard to get good pictures but I managed to get some good shots of some of the things we passed. After the boat it was time for lunch. Went we went Boudin bakery I loved looking at all bread in fun shapes.  For lunch I had an amazing veggie sandwich . After lunch we went somewhere I’ve been wanting to go for a while the Aquarium of the Bay. This Aquarium was pretty small but it was still fun. I enjoyed looking at the fish and the otters. After enjoying the aquarium we decided to go on a bus tour. We went on the big bus tour. On the big bus tour you can hop on and off the bus at different locations but we decided to stay on the bus for the most of the loop and listen to the tour guide as he gave some interesting information about every stop. We ended up getting off the bus a stop or two before the end of the full loop. When we got of the bus we ended up walking  around pier 39 some more and we went and looked at the the famous seals. After that we walked to a Starbucks for some food and drinks before heading back home after a fun filled day.

Monterrey day trip June 2019

Hello, my bucket list friends! On June 28th my mom and I took a fun day trip to Monterrey. We did some fun activities and I’m excited to tell you all about it . Here we go!

Monterrey day trip June 2019

To start our day of fun we made a quick stop at a beach that my mom wanted to check out. Then for our next activity we went on the famous 17 mile drive. When you pay for the drive you get information on all the stops. Since we had a limited amount of time before we had to be at our next activity we didn’t stop at every location. My favorite stops were Spanish bay beach, bird rock, and Seal Rock. We had a great time walking around the beaches and sight seeing. After completing the stops we wanted to make,we went to Carmel for lunch and shopping. I got an awesome new snow globe for my collection. After all of that we headed back to Monterrey to check out Selfievill. Selfievill is a fairly new attraction that is held in an old theater. The experience begins with a fun light show. We missed the first part of the light show because we got a little lost on the way there but we were able to enjoy a good portion of the show. The light show was very cute and had awesome animation. After that it was on to Selfievill ! We went though all the great rooms that Selfievill had to offer. The rooms reminded me of photo sets. It was easy to feel like a model at times. I loved sitting on the big unicorn, posing by a giant lollipop and getting to sit on a bench that looked like a big cloud. My mom and I went though the rooms pretty quickly but it was a lot of fun! If you have ever wanted to be a model for a day I highly recommend selfievill! When we were done in Selfievill we headed for home. It was the perfect summer day trip.

Exploring Pigeon Point

Hello ,my bucket list friends !On Dec. 29th 2018 , my parents and I took a day trip to Pigeon Point . It was a great adventure and I’m excited to tell you all about it , here we go!

Exploring Pigeon Point

Pigeon point is a beautiful ocean side spot that is known for it’s lighthouse. Currently work is being done on the light house so it’s closed but I still got some great pictures of it. One of the first things we did when we got there was walk down a little trial to the beach . It was a beautiful sunny day and the beach was gorgeous ! I had a great time on the beach walking around and taking pictures . There were beautiful seashells all over the beach .After spending some time on the beach we went to go explore more of Pigeon Point. We walked around the area where the light house is and took in some great views of the ocean. There was also a little museum with some information about the area and a huge prism in the middle of the room .In another building there was a gift shop I got some fun things to remember the trip by. Overall it was a fun and beautiful place that is worth seeing .
