The dreams never stop

Hello my bucket list friends ! I have an announcement to make, I’ve decide that it is time to add a few more things to my bucket list .  I never stop dreaming or even discovering old dreams that I have forgot about. I have come up with 10 new items to add to my bucket list and remember never stop dreaming my friends .

20170216_210809

  1. Go to Washington DC

I remember when my sister went to DC in the 8th grade but since I was home schooled I did not get to go on my own trip to DC.  I have wanted to go there for a while so I thought it deserved a place on the list.

  1. Own an American girl doll

When I was a kid I loved getting the American girl catalogs and magazines, I always wanted one of the dolls but they were very expensive so I could not get one. This is one of those forgotten dreams. I don’t care how old I am I still want to make this childhood dream of mine come true.

  1. Have a Wikipedia page about me

I love inspiring others to go for their dreams and be the best that they can be and that’s what I want to be famous for . When I have a Wikipedia page about me that is when I will know that I have really made it.

  1. Take a cake decorating class

I love art and I love food epically sweets. I would love to learn how to make frosting roses and other fun designs

  1. Try standup comedy

talk about a comfort zone buster! I love to write but writing with the intent of being funny is something that I have never done before. I’m going to be honest this list item scares me but I think it would be a good experience for me because I want to be very comfortable with public speaking

  1. Be in a magazine

I love having my picture taken and showing off my personality for the camera and it would be super fun to have my picture in a magazine

  1. Finish a 10k

I’ve done many 5ks and a half marathon but I have not done a 10k and I would really like to do one.

  1. Interview another bucket lister for my blog – I want to meet more bucket listers and hear about their adventures and maybe even help each other cross off some list items .
  2. Join a book club or start my own

I love to read but lately I have not been reading as much as I would like too . I would love to be a part of a book club so I could get back to reading.

  1. Get some Lisa Frank clothes

I have seen some really awesome Lisa Frank clothes  online but they are out of my price range right now . Making it a list item will help me to remember to get some when I have the money .

2016 Wrap up

Hello bucket list friends, as usual the year has gone by very fast. it always seems to start out slow and then before you know it it’s over. Anyways I thought now would be a good time to reflect on some of the things that happened in my life this year.

The Good

2016 was full of good things for me. The thing that stands out the most is that I got to go on some amazing vacations. This year I went to San Diego, New York, Disneyland, and Disneyworld . San Diego was my first trip of the year and I would love to go back some time. (you can read about it here ) When I went to New York it was my first time on the east coast . We technically landed in New Jersey so  that was my first east coast state but we spent our time exploring the exciting city of New York . ( you can read about my first east coast adventure here ) When I went to Disneyland in September it was not just to go on vacation but it was to cross complete the Disneyland half marathon off my bucket list . It was not an easy thing to do but I did it. (you can read about it here) The last vacation of 2016 was Disney world. I had been dreaming of going there for a long time and it was amazing to finally go there! (you can read about my great adventures in Disney World here) Going on some wonderful vacations was not the only good thing that happened this year. One of my favorite memories of this year was going to the Hollywood Vampires concert it was an awesome night that I will never forget. (you can read about it here) 2016 also brought me a new family member my kitten Cooper. Cooper was found in a trash can by neighbors of my boss. Neither the neighbors or my boss were able to keep him and I was more than happy to take him in. I have never a kitten before my cats were always older when I adopted them. In case you don’t know kittens have a lot of energy ! He is always running around and getting in to everything but he brings me such joy. I’m so happy that was able to give him a home. Even though he is a wild man I love him. I was also able to cross off 9 things from my bucket list this year. Many other good things happened this year including completing more 5k races, going to see a bunch of movies, spending time with my family and friends and doing some of the things I love most such as shopping and photography . As next year approaches I look forward to all the good things that are to come.

The bad

When I think about the bad things that happened to me this year one thing really stands out, getting the norovirus. The norovirus is like the worst flu you can think of times ten. I had no energy at all. I was in a lot of pain and I could not eat. I had to drink a lot of sports drinks to keep from getting dehydrated I had to miss work and I spent the majority of my days on the couch. I was miserable. This is a good reminder that every year brings with it new challenges to overcome but I will keep reminding myself to trust in God.

The unexpected

One very unexpected thing happened to me this year. (you can read about it here) in summery this is what happened. I thought my career as a preschool teacher was going to last a lot longer than it did. I was under a lot of stress in the child care field and then I was fired it was unexpected. if you would have told me last year that I would be back in school this year for a whole new career I would have told you that you were crazy, but here I am. Life is truly unexpected you never know for sure what’s going to happen next.

Disney world Vacation 2016 and numbers 13,16,19 and 14

Hello bucket list friends! This is one blog post that I’m very excited to write ! Earlier this month some of dreams came true. I finally went to Disney world . I have been wanting to go for a very long time and I was so excited when I finally got there. My parents and I stayed at Disney’s port Orleans riverside resort. The first night in the hotel, I could not believe that I was finally there! The resort was simply beautiful. On the first night, we ate dinner at the food court at our hotel, before taking a ferry to Disney Springs. Disney Springs is a huge shopping and dining area. I went shopping at the world of Disney store, I love shopping at the World of Disney store at down town Disney in California, I was super excited to shop at the one in Disney Springs and it did not disappoint! I got some great souvenirs, day one was a success. Before I tell you about the list items I crossed off during my vacation take a look at some pictures from day one .

#16 Go to Disney’s Hollywood studious crossed off 12/5/2016

The day after we arrived in Disney world we went to our first park Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I knew that the park was undergoing a lot of construction but that there were still some great things to see and do there.  Our first ride of the day was the great movie ride . I recommend doing that one for sure. It was a lot of fun and a great way to start the day . My favorite ride of the whole park was rock n roller coaster not only is the ride about Aerosmith, it was a super fun and wild ride! My favorite show at Hollywood studios is the Little mermaid. Also the food and shopping were wonderful just as I had expected they would be . My first day in a park a Disney World was fabulous and I couldn’t wait to explore the other parks .

#19 Go to the Magic Kingdom crossed off 12/6/2016

The next park we went to was the magic kingdom I was excited to see the castle in person and to explore the park. I have been to Disneyland many times and this park is similar. it also has my favorite ride it’s a small world. I had a great time at this park even though it did rain really hard for a while and we had to go shopping for some new clothes. I really enjoyed the people mover ride and our lunch at the Liberty tree tavern. The seven-dwarf’s mine train was also a fun ride. This park is full of classic Disney magic and I can’t wait until I get the chance to explore it again.

#14 Go to Epcot crossed off 12/7/2016

I was very excited to visit this park because it is full of rides that there are not versions of in California. First off let me start by saying this park is huge! it is pretty amazing walking into Epcot for the first time and seeing spaceship earth in person is breath taking. There are some pretty awesome rides here my top five would be Test track, the gran fiesta tour, mission space, journey in to imagination with figment and living with the land at the end of the day I finally got a chance to go to club cool and try different sodas from all over the world including the infamous Beverly. I would love to spend some more time in this park someday, there is just so much to see and do here. If you get the chance to go to Disney World make sure to visit Epcot.

#13 Go to Disney’s animal kingdom crossed off 12/8/2016

This was the park I was the most excited to visit because I love animals. I was also super excited to see the tree of life I have seen many pictures of it and it is beautiful. It was really cool it finally see it in person.   The Kilimanjaro safari was my favorite I loved seeing the zebras and ostriches. My favorite show was festival of the Lion King because lion king is my favorite Disney movie. The Finding Nemo musical was also really awesome.  I also enjoyed Expedition Everest . Overall this park was really great!

San Diego vacation and numbers 12 and 25

Hello my bucket list friends! I’m very excited about this blog post because I finally crossed off some more items and I can’t wait to tell you all about them!  I just got back from a very fun vacation to San Diego. I had never been to San Diego before and I was very excited to go someplace new.  My mom and I took an early flight to San Diego so that meant that we would have plenty of time for fun even on our first day.  The view from our hotel room was beautiful and I could not  wait to start exploring the amazing city that I could see from the window. That very first day we took a tour of the Midway, It was very exciting to explore the huge ship. We took an audio tour so we got to learn a lot about the ship as we explored it. I learned a bunch of interesting information about the Midway. I had really  great time exploring the Midway .On day two I crossed off number 12 go to the San Diego zoo I will write more about that below. Day three I went to the safari park I had a great time looking at a bunch of different animals including tigers, birds and lions. I also got to ride the carousel in the safari park. It was a great day it was a hot day but a great day. On day four I went to Balboa Park and I have to say it really is an amazing place; Balboa Park has a ton of amazing museums. My mom and I visited that Natural history museum. I had a great time looking at all the displays but my favorite part was watching a 3D movie about whales it felt like you were swimming with them!  I also got to ride the carousel in Balboa park .That night we went to dinner and saw the movie Nerve.  It was a great day and there was more fun to come! On day 5 I crossed off number 25 go to LEGOLAND I will write more about that below. Day 6 was the last day before we went back home. We took a ferry to Coronado Island. I had a great time on the beach the water was nice not cold like the beaches I’m used to. We also took a free bus around town. That night I rode the Seaport Village carousel it was great way to end an amazing vacation. Now let me tell you about the items I crossed off my list .

#12 .Go to the San Diego zoo

I love animals and I had heard great things about the San Diego zoo so it is no surprise that this was an early item that I put on my list.  I very excited to cross this list item off, we had got tickets to the backstage pass program so we got to get close to a lot of animals. It was so cool to be just a few inches away from a sloth! I also got to feed flamingoes and giraffe. The zoo was filled with lots of amazing animals. We got to take a bus tour and we also explored the zoo on foot. It was an amazing day! I loved seeing all the animals and getting up close to some of them and I got some great souvenirs including a polar bear stuffed animal. I’m so glad I put this item on my list! I hope I get to go back to the San Diego zoo sometime.

#25.go to Lego land

I enjoy amusement parks and I have been interested in going to Lego land for a while. I was excited to get to see some awesome Lego creations and I was not disappointed. There were amazing Lego creations all over the place! The coast cruise is a great ride to take a look at some great works of Lego art. I also got to go to the sea life aquarium in LEGOLAND I had a great time looking at all the sea animals.  Keep in mind that LEGOLAND is geared towards young kids so thrill seekers will probably not enjoy the rides.  I did get to ride the carousel that they have there .It was overall a good day and I’m glad I had this item on my list.

Happy anniversary to just a bucket list dream

Hello bucket list friends! This is a very special post because today is the one year anniversary of my first blog post. I can’t believe that it has already been a year since I started Just a bucket list dream. Time has flown by so fast and I’ve crossed a lot of items off my bucket list in that time but I still have a long way to go until all my items are crossed off.  I can’t wait to continue to share my bucket list adventures and more with all of you. I plan to celebrate the anniversary of this blog every year. There is a tradition that certain kinds of gifts are to be given each year to celebrate an anniversary. The gift for a one year anniversary is paper, so I bought myself some paper crowns and I had a blast decorating one to celebrate my anniversary of writing this blog. I can’t wait to see what I cross off my bucket list next. Thanks for reading!

Bucket List updates !!

Hello my bucket list friends! This year is flying by so fast but it has been a slow year for my bucket list because I have been busy working on long term bucket list items as well as settling in to my new awesome job! I got a job at a preschool as the 3 year old teacher, I was working at another preschool before but this one is closer to my house and is a better fit for me. Anyways I thought that it would be a good time to give you updates on past list items as well as the ones I’m still working on. So let’s jump on in!

Progress report for #167

Hello bucket list friends! In an earlier blog post I announced that I signed up for the Disneyland half marathon that will take place later this year. I also said that I had joined a gym to help me to reach my goal of completing the half marathon. You can read about it here. I thought that now would be a good time to give you all an update on my progress with number 167 and tell you about my first 5k of 2016 so let’s get going.

Wildflower run 4/3/16

Last week I completed my first 5k of 2016! I had a lot of fun doing this race, it has been around since 1984 and it was awesome to be a part of it. I had not done a 5k since I started going to the gym and I was both nervous and excited to see how I would do. I did my very best with this race, my time was not what I wanted it to be but overall I was happy with it. I finished with a time of 41:29. I have another race coming up in May and I hope it finish in 39 minutes or less. Overall I really enjoyed this 5k and I’m really proud of myself for all my hard work and I can’t wait to keep getting better!

#116 in progress

Hello bucket list friends! Some of you might have noticed that I have only crossed two things off my bucket list this year and there is a good reason for that. In my last blog post I wrote about how I’m preparing to cross off number 167 complete the Disneyland half marathon. Well I’m also working on a second list item that is going to take some time to complete. I have been putting a lot of time into these list items so I have not had time to cross other items off. Now let me tell you about the second big list item I’m working on.

#116 become a photographer (in progress)

Photography is something that I have a lot of fun doing and I have wanted to get into the photography business for a while now. I put this item on my list to give myself the motivation to really go for it! I’ve already done a few photo shoots with my friends I’ve also joined model mayhem and 123 royalty free.
