creativity to the rescue !

Hello, my bucket list friends ! I’m pretty sure we all know that life can throw a lot of stress our way sometimes. There are many different ways of coping with stress such as exercising , reading , playing music and much more! For me being creative is what helps me cope with stress. On Monday I went to Petroglyph a ceramic studio. I painted an Elephant and an egg , my mom painted a beautiful sunflower plate. I love being able to sit down and focus on making art. I love the way I painted my elephant and egg ! I also have my bedroom pretty well stocked with craft kits. I recently did a butterfly mosaic  craft kit that I got at the Good Will. This kit came with a cut out of a butterfly and foam pieces to to decorate the butter fly with. Originally the foam pieces were sticky and simply stuck to the butterfly  but the kit was older and the adhesive had dried.  I used glue to stick the pieces on. I enjoyed putting the foam pieces on the butterfly. It would be fun to do another kit like this.

scribble scrubbies !

Hello, my bucket list friends ! As some of you may know I’m a big kid at heart that loves toys. Recently I got to play with scribble scrubbies a toy that I had been wanting to try for a while . I can’t wait to tell you all about this fun a creative toy ! Here we go .

scribble scrubbies !

I’ve known about Scribble Scubbies for a while and I’ve really been wanting to try them . This toy is made by Crayola. Scribble Scrubbies are fuzzy animals that you can color with markers then scrub them off and color them again. I got a set of two scribble Scrubbies on Saturday and I had a single scribble scrubby that I bought back around December. I was excited to color all three scribble Scrubbies ! I started with the bird from the set of two that I  bought at CVS. I noticed right away that the animals were fuzzy and not smooth. I think the fuzzy texture helps to keep the color on until you wash it off. I had a fun time decorating the bird . Some of the marker rubbed off the bird and on to my jeans but it’s washable so I wasn’t worried about it. Next I scribbled on the Zebra that came in the pack of two. Then it was time to color the poodle that came in the single pack. I enjoyed letting my creativity go wild as I scribbled on the animals. When It was time to wash them off I got the brushes that came with the animals. It was fun to scrub the animals with the brushes but water got most of the marker off on it’s own. When I was done washing them you could see a little bit of marker left but I was happy with how easily most of the color washed out . I’m really happy I got to try Scribble scrubbies . I wonder what toy or craft I’ll try next ! Rock on – Christina Epperly

Mirror craft kit

Hello, my bucket list friends ! I just completed a very cute Melissa and Doug craft kit. I got this kit and the Goodwill, I was very excited when I saw it. Now, is the time to tell you how fun it was ! Here we go !

Mirror craft kit

This kit was a great thrift store find ! It came with a flower shaped mirror and items to decorate it with. I loved the craft jewels and the glitter glue ! I enjoyed gluing on the jewels and making dots on the mirror with two different colors of glitter glue! Decorating the mirror was very relaxing. I love the stress relief and happiness I get from crafting!   On the package it said to decorate both sides of the mirror so that’s what I did. After letting the mirror dry for awhile, I used the regular flat stickers that came with the kit to decorate the back. I just have to say that Melissa and Doug makes really good craft kits and I can’t wait to try more of them !

Valentine’s day arts and crafts

Hello, my bucket list friends ! I’m back at it with the craft kits . This time I did Valentine’s day craft kits in celebration of the holiday ! Here we go!

Valentine’s day arts and crafts

Valentine’s day necklace kit – I got this kit at Michael’s and  I thought that it was pretty unique! It came with fun Valentine’s day beads, string and two pieces of plastic to use as a clasp for the necklace. I had a fun time putting the beads on the string .I couldn’t figure out how to get the clasp to work correctly so I just tied the necklace the old fashioned way. It worked great and it was pretty easy to slip it on over my head . I would recommend this craft kit.

Cat pillow – At Target I got very simple but very cute craft kit . It came with a very cute cat pillow and some markers. I don’t think that the markers were fabric markers but they worked really well. It was easy ,fun and relaxing to color the little cat. I hope I get to do more craft kits like this !

Ceramic LOVE painting – This kit was a simple painting kit. It came with a ceramic love sculpture ,a paint brush and three colors of paint. I liked the way the letters popped out from the background of the sculpture. I really enjoyed painting this sculpture and I was happy with the way it turned out.

I was excited when I saw it and I knew that it was just the project I was looking for. The kit had two bobble heads and few items to decorate them with including a marker ,paint and bows! I started decorating the cat first I glued a cute pink pink bow on the cat’s head and then I painted dot’s on her body. For the dog I glued a rose on her head and I covered her with paint . I used the yellow and orange paint on both of the bobble heads.  I really liked they way both of them turned out! They are super cute ! I would love to do another kit like this sometime. Painting a cupcake bank

Hello, my bucket list friends! For Christmas my wonderful friend got me a Melissa and Doug craft kit. This craft kit included a cupcake shaped bank and paint to paint it with. I had a lot of fun painting the cupcake and I can’t wait to tell you more so here we go !

Painting a cupcake bank

I was very excited when I opened this gift from my friend! Melissa and Doug craft kits are just the cutest ! This craft kit was pretty simple you got to paint a cupcake shaped bank in any way you wanted to! The kit came with a good variety of paint colors to choose from and a smaller size paint brush that was perfect for this project due to the sprinkles on the cupcake. I started by painting the base of the cupcake I ended up mixing the colors but it looked good to me. I then painted the sprinkles and the rest of the cupcake. I wasn’t perfect with my painting so the paint overlapped onto the sprinkles in some places. When I was done painting the cupcake I was happy with it’s overall colorful and messy look. I also had a good amount of paint left over to use for other projects. I had a fun time painting the cupcake and I would totally use another craft kit like this.

painting my own magnets

When I saw this kit I was very excited because it was on my Amazon wish list and here it was at the Goodwill plus I could get it right away with no shipping needed. The most exciting thing was that it was in the original package and had clearly never been opened. Things have been pretty busy for me lately so I was happy when I had sometime to relax and make art. The paint and the magnets in this kit seemed to be pretty high quality. It was both easy and fun to paint and decorate the magnets. I enjoyed choosing what colors and designs I would use for each magnet. The kit also came with jewel stickers and pink glitter glue. I like the way the stickers made the magnets pop a little more. I also had fun adding some glitter glue to the magnets as well. I was very happy with the way the magnets turned out and I would love to do another kit like this sometime.

Squishes art kit !

Hello, my bucket list friends ! I recently got this really fun art kit where you color three very cute squishes! It was a great kit and I can’t wait to tell you more about it so here we go !

Squishes art kit !

I got this kit at Target it comes with three squishes to color along with markers to color them with. The first one I colored was the cake slice. The markers we’re good quality and colored the squishes well. I found this project to be very relaxing. My favorite part when it came to coloring the cake slice was coloring the big sprinkles . The next squishy was a cat it was my favorite of the three . I had fun coloring the cat with bright colors. The cat was cute before I colored it but it was even cuter after. The last squishy was a cute little ice pop with a bite taken out of it . Of course I also had a lot of fun coloring this one just like I did the other two. I enjoyed putting dots on it. I would totally buy another art kit like this ! It was fun and relaxing all at once and now I have three very cute squishes.

My very own puzzle!

Hello, my bucket list friends ! At summer camp many years ago I remember doing a make your on puzzle activity and really enjoying it. A while ago I bought my own blank puzzle to decorate. Yesterday I decided to turn my blank puzzle into a work of art. I can’t wait to tell you about my own personalized puzzle so here we go !

My very own puzzle!

The blank puzzle had been sitting on my arts and crafts shelf for awhile and I decided that yesterday was the day to turn it from blank to colorful. I chose to use sharpie markers to decorate my puzzle. I wan’st sure what to draw at first . I was deciding between an under water seen and a classic sunny day seen. I decided on a sunny day picture it was a sunny day after all! I started by drawing a smiling sunshine in the corner. After that my creativity went wild as I drew flowers, balloons, butterflies, and more ! As I worked to fill up as much blank space as possible I began to love my puzzle more and more! It was a bit difficult to draw on the puzzle pieces where they connected but overall I really enjoyed making my own puzzle and I love the way it turned out. I would totally buy another blank puzzle. If you are looking for a fun and easy project to do I highly recommend this. I got mine at Michaels but they are available other places as well. Rock On – Christina Epperly

Arts and crafts fun Oct. 2019

Hello, my bucket list friends ! I recently got to do one of my favorite things arts and crafts kits ! I can’t wait to tell you what I created this time so here we go !

Arts and crafts fun Oct. 2019

Disney glitter globe kit – I’ve been eyeing this kit at for a while and I finally picked it up. They had a few princess to chose from. I chose Ariel .When it came time to put the globe together there was a lack of directions but I kind of figured it out. It was hard to put the stickers in and I couldn’t figure out how to secure the background on. It looked ok when I finished it but it did leak a bit. This craft kit was a difficult to put together but I’m glad I tried it!

Sand art kit – I love doing sand art I remember doing it when I was a kid. I found this kit at Target. It came with two plastic molds for sand art. One was a large moon and the other was a shooting star that could be put on a necklace. They included a string for the shooting star necklace. I found the kit fun and easy to use . I really liked the way my art turned out. Instructions were included in this kit but I found it easy to use even with out them. This was my favorite kit out of the three I used this time.

My Little Pony pop outz ! – This simple kit came with two ponies and three markers. The ponies came with little stands so you could display your art when you finished. I used some of my own markers to color the ponies as well as the ones that came with the kit. I enjoyed coloring them and I’m happy with the way they tuned out.
