Los Angeles summer 2021 Adventure part three

Hello,my bucket list friends! It’s time for part three of my Los Angeles adventure! My last full day in Los Angeles started out with a trip to the LA zoo. When we first got there I saw a big line outside. However, it moved pretty quickly. We went to the gift shop first to avoid the crowds that would probably be there later in the day. Since the zoo is very large we decided to pay to ride the tram around. It was nice to be able to get off at different places and see the animals in that area. Some of my favorite animals that I got to see were a tapir, elephants, flamingos,a tiger and a tortoise. I also got to ride the carousel! There were a lot of cool animals to choose from on the carousel. I road on an ostrich and my mom road on a horse. I hope I can ride on that carousel again sometime. I want to ride the unicorn. After the zoo we went to the Grove. The Grove is a popular outdoor shopping center. I mainly wanted to go see the American Girl store. I just have to say the store was simply amazing. The displays that were around the store were so much fun to look at and even interact with. They had a working pacman arcade game that went a long with Courtney the newest historical doll. While I was there I bought Courtney’s second book. I had already read the first one and I liked it a lot. I also got a travel journal, a matching hair bow set, and a blind bag with doll sized plastic food items. After that we went to eat at the Original farmers market. We found a place there that had healthy food. I had a really good sandwich there. The last activity that we had planned was to ride the swan boats at Echo park. We made reservations for a certain time. We spent some time walking around the park before we got in line for the boats. I have to say the boats are super cute. It was hard to peddle the boats at times but it was so much fun. I highly recommend this activity if you are in the area.

Montana vacation part 1

Hello, my bucket list friends! I recently came back from a vacation to Montana. My mom and I had a lot of fun. I can’t wait to tell you about my Montana adventure so let’s dive on in!

Montana vacation part 1

Our Montana adventure started with an early morning flight to Salt Lake City. Then after about two hours in the airport my mom and I were on our way to Billings Montana. After a stop at the airport gift shop and a much needed rest in our hotel we decided to go to the Rimrock mall. I was excited to go to the mall because they have a Build a Bear Workshop there and it was open! The locations close me were still closed. When we got to the mall we decided to eat dinner at the food court. We went to a pizza place but I wish we would have gone to this restaurant that looked like it had really good sandwiches but I didn’t see their menu until after we got our pizza. After dinner we headed to Build a Bear Workshop! My mom decided to walk around the mall while I built my bear. This store had not received shipment since March so they did not have the summer bear that I was planning out getting. I decided to get this bear that was covered in colorful hearts. I named my bear sugarplum and picked out a dress for her. She is a very beautiful bear! It was a great first day of vacation!

Day 2

On day two we went to zoo Montana. When I was doing research on things to do in Billings Montana I was excited to see that there was zoo there and not just any zoo. Zoo Montana is home to mostly rescue animals! When we got to the zoo I was excited to see the animals that lived there but before I saw any animals I quickly discovered just how beautiful this zoo is.  There are some really lovely gardens at this zoo. The gardens are definitely worth checking out. Of course the animals are definitely worth seeing as well. One of my favorite animals that I saw at the zoo that day was the grizzly bear. The bear was eating food they had been left right by a viewing area in the enclosure. It was so cool to see the bear up close! I got some great pictures of the very beautiful grizzly bear. Another animal that I enjoyed seeing were the red pandas. One of the pandas was laying in a tree. The other was walking around the enclosure. I was happy that I was able to get some really great pictures of the red pandas. Another cool thing that happened at the zoo was getting to see the tiger move around. I know it doesn’t seem like that big of a deal but tigers sleep a lot so they are usually sleeping when I have seen them before at zoos. I was glad that I was able to get a picture of the tiger standing up. In addition to the gardens and the animals the zoo also had playgrounds! I had a fun time going on the slides with my mom. After exploring the outdoors we went to see the animals that were housed inside. I liked watching the armadillo run around I also enjoyed seeing the Kookaburra. After seeing the animals in the indoor exhibit we went to the gift shop. I got some pretty nice items at the gift shop including a bookmark and a magnet. With the change I got from the gift shop I went to the pressed penny machine. I’ve been getting more into using these machines lately. I was excited to see the zoo also had a photo booth. My mom and I had a fun time taking pictures and I’m happy with how our pictures came out. After the zoo we went to downtown Billings to see the Western Heritage Center. This museum had some very interesting exhibits including one about bees. I also enjoyed the exhibit that was called saints and sinners. This exhibit was filled was interesting stories about some famous women who lived in Montana. Before going to explore more of downtown Billings, we went to the museum’s gift shop where I got this really nice travel cup. While walking around downtown I saw this ice cream shop that I had heard about in a travel video called Big Dipper ice cream. When we went to the ice cream shop  I saw that they had a flavor called apple walnut and I just had to try it. It was fun to try something new and I’m glad I did. After the ice cream shop we got some food at a restaurant called Well pared. This healthy restaurant turned out to be my favorite in Billings.

That’s the end of part one of my Montana adventure. Thanks for reading.

Texas vacation part 1

Hello, my bucket list friends ! I just got back from a fun filled vacation to Texas ! There is so much to write about so I’m going to doing more than one post about my latest vacation . So let’s dive into part 1 !

Texas vacation part 1

On Saturday October 13th my mom and I flew out to Texas . It was quite an ordeal to get there because due to weather in Texas our flight got cancelled . We got on another flight but we had to go back downstairs to ticketing to get new boarding passes then back up through security again . It all worked out but we go to Dallas late so we didn’t have any time to do anything other than go to bed .

On Sunday , there was a break in the rain but according to the weather report that would be our only day to do outdoor activities . It was going to be tough but we were going to have to do the State Fair of Texas and the Dallas zoo in one day ! We started our day at the state Fair .  It was kind of hard to find our way around but we managed to see and do a lot in the short time we had . We got to ride some fun rides including the sky way and the swing ride and I did the carousel of course . We got to see cows , goats , and horses and a few exhibits before it was time to leave . I bought a necklace as a souvenir and had some lemonade . After all our fair fun it was time to head to the zoo . When we got to the Dallas zoo we only had a few hours before it closed but we made the very most of it . It is a pretty good sized zoo.  We saw penguins , elephants , a hippopotamus , flamingos and lots of other animals ! The aviary  was fun to explore I loved seeing all the different kinds of birds there . There is a really nice gift shop where I got a new snow globe for my collection along with some other fun souvenirs.  There was a carousel but because we were short on time I did not get the chance to ride it . Overall the state fair of Texas and the Dallas zoo are a lot of fun, I just wish we would have had more time to explore them. Even After all our fair and zoo fun we had one more activity to do before the rain came . That night we went to the reunion tower. I had fun time exploring the Geo deck and looking at the beautiful view of Dallas and yes they have a gift shop ! After all that exploration we were very tired and ready to called it a day !

That’s the end of part one ! Rock on Christina Epperly

Fun at the Oakland Zoo

Hello, my bucket list friends ! I got to do something really fun this weekend . I  went to the Oakland Zoo for the first time .  My mom and I had a great time exploring the zoo . Let’s getting going so I can tell you all about it .

Oakland zoo adventure April 2018

I have been to a  good amount zoo’s before including the San Diego and San Francisco zoo (both of those were bucket list items) but I had not gotten the chance to visit the Oakland zoo until last Saturday .  The zoo is about an hour away the traffic on the drive there  was not too bad but the zoo it’s self was very packed . I knew it would be that way though it was a very sunny Saturday and in the bay area lots of places where going to be packed but the crowds did not stop my mom and I from having a great time . The Oakland zoo is a pretty good-sized zoo and there are many animals to see . My favorite were the fruit bats ! They were so big ! They sleep upside down with their wings wrapped around them . It was amazing to watch them unwrap their huge wings ! I even got to see one eat a banana . I also enjoyed seeing the elephants , zebras and petting goats at the petting zoo .  We also stopped by the gift shop where I got a key chain a pencil , a reusable bag with a turtle on it and my favorite thing that I got was a new snow globe to add to my collection ! My mom and I had lunch at the zoo the veggie burgers were wonderful . We ended our trip to the zoo with are ride on the gondola the wait was long but the views where beautiful . If your ever in the area I recommend going to visit this fun zoo . I hope I get to go again sometime .
