An Idaho adventure plus exploring craters of the moon

Hello, my bucket list friends! I’m very happy to say that I made it to Idaho three times this year to visit family. I had a good time like I usually do but I also went on a really fun day trip that I’m very excited to tell you all about. If you want to go right to the part about my adventure at craters of the moon go to the paragraph labeled Monday. Now let’s get to it!

Friday – This was the day we left for Idaho we took an earlier flight then we normally do. I was very happy about that because we had more time in Idaho. I was also very happy because we got Starbucks at the airport. Our plane landed earlier then we thought it was going to so we had some time to go to my favorite store in the airport. I got some Idaho souvenirs and a snack at the store. Yes, I have a lot of souvenirs from Idaho but I still like collecting them. After my grandparents picked us up from the airport we went to lunch before going to their house. I was very happy to see Jewels (their dog) and she was very happy to see me. That evening we went to Walmart I was very happy to see that they had a lot of Christmas items out already. I got a Christmas ornament as well as some other fun things including a Barbie and some Barbie pets blind bag toys. It was a relaxing and fun first day of the trip.

Saturday – On the first full day of this trip we started the day by going to breakfast. It was pretty good but after breakfast we had to get a new car battery. It was a little stressful but it all worked out. After dealing with the battery problem it was time to go thrift shopping. At the first thrift store we went to I found a few things such as two TY Beanie Babies, a 101 Dalmatians toys and a large Barbie book that still had one of the toys that came with it. However I was really hopping to find more things to add to my collection so we went to the Goodwill. I really like the Goodwill that we went to. I’ve gotten some really cool things at that location before so I was excited to see what I would find this time. I’m happy to say that I got a bunch of fun items including some TY Beanie Babies, a Barbie doll, My Little Pony toys and a Starbucks hat. After thrift shopping we went to Starbucks and no, I did not wear my new hat. Our next adventure of the day was going to get pumpkins to decorate my Grandparent’s porch with. The first pumpkin patch that we went to didn’t have what we were looking for but there were some really cool planes flying overhead and I some good pictures of them. The next place that we went to was more like a roadside fruit stand then a pumpkin patch. However they had a pretty good selection of pumpkins and we got what we needed for decorating the porch. After all of that adventure we went back to my grandparents house and relaxed for a while. We also had some time to visit with other family members before we went on a nighttime adventure to Fred Myer. I wanted to get bath bombs and I was happy to see the large selection of bombs they had. I’m happy to say that I got bath bombs that had prizes in them. I also got a Barbie doll here. Then I took a bath with bath bombs sometime after midnight.

Sunday – We started our Sunday with a trip to Starbucks after that we went to lunch at my one of grandparents favorite restaurants. If you ask me Starbucks and Mexican food are a good way to start the day. I got veggies fajitas and they were amazing! We spent a good part of this day at a family member’s farm. I loved seeing the baby pigs and the other animals. I very was happy to see one of my favorite horses again! However I was not happy that I got stung by a yellow jacket. So after we left the farm we had to stop by Walmart to get some cream for my sting. Of course that’s not all I got. I also got some fun things including more Barbie pets blind bag toys and another Christmas ornament. I also took at bath that night with bath bombs.

Monday- This was our last full day in Idaho plus it was also Halloween. It turns out that Halloween is a good day to vist a national monument. After about a three hour drive we arrived at Craters of the moon national monument. When we arrived at the visitor center I was happy to see that there were not many people here today. I guess most people’s Halloween plans do not involve a trip to craters of the moon. I enjoyed the visitor center there were some good displays there as well as a gift shop. We got some souvenires at the gift shop but my mom and I also got free bat buttons. It was a good way to start our adventure at the national monument. After The visitor center we paid the entrance fee to the park and then went exploring. There are a lot of amazing things to see at craters of the moon. I don’t know if the pictures I took accurately depict the beauty of this place. However I really enjoyed the views, the hikes we went on, and the unique look of this amazing place. There is something so special and unique about being surrounded by volcanic rock. It truly feels like you are on another planet. I don’t think I will ever forget what it felt like to climb to the top of a black hill. At the top it was windy but so uniquely beautiful. I highly recommend adding this place to your bucket list. I wish that I would have had it on mine because it was definitely deserving of a spot. After a truly breath taking adventure we made the trip back to my grandparents house where I spent the evening passing out Halloween candy. It was a wonderful way to wrap up this trip to Idaho.

A summer weekend in Idaho

Hello,my bucket list friends! Last weekend I went on a little getaway to Idaho. I have family that lives there. I try to go a few times a year. However, this weekend was the first time I was able to go this year. It was a short visit but I was able to do a good amount things before it was time to head back home. I can’t wait to tell you all about it so let’s get to it!

Friday- On Friday I worked a half day, then after a quick stop at Best Buy to get a headphone adapter,I went to the airport. After I got checked in and made it through security, I still had some time before my flight so I went to the store and got some souvenires from my home state. I know it’s far from perfect but I do love California! Anyways, after that it was time to head to Idaho. The flight was normal and uneventful. When I landed I stopped and got some Idaho souvenires. After that I got my luggage, met up with my mom and went to my grandparents house. It was great to see them and their dog again. After talking with them for a while. My mom drove me to get something to eat because I was hungry after a day of working and traveling. We ened up going to a restaurant that neither of us had been to before it was called smoky mountain Pizzeria grill. There was a bit of wait but the food was really good so it was worth it. There was also a vending machine that gave out random toys for a quarter each so that was pretty cool. After dinner we went to Walmart to get a few things. A few fun things I got were a squishy strawberry toy,Barbie stickers, and and Idaho button. It was a pretty good way to start off my weekend in Idaho.

Saturday- I was really looking forward to Saturday because I had bought tickets for a museum in Boise. We got Starbucks before going to the museum. I had been to this museum before but they host different exhibits so it was going to be different then it was before The main exhibit they had this time was Sue the T.rex. I  had seen Sue before but it had been a very long time ago. It was nice to see her again. There was also a small exhibit about the moon. My favorite part of that exhibit was the moon themed art work. The next part of the museum was a hands on area that was closed the last time I visited the museum. My favorite part of that area was this machine that made beautiful works of art. Also in the museum there is another T. rex named Tinker. It  was nice to see that T. Rex again too. After exploring the museum,we went to the gift shop on the way out. My favorite thing that I got was a Sue keychain. After the museum my mom and I went to a Idaho gift shop that we had visited once before. I was excited to go shopping for more fun Idaho souvenires. My favorite things that I got are two Idaho shaped Christmas ornaments that you paint. I can’t wait to paint one of them. I got two of them so my mom can paint one also. After our fun in Boise, we went to a restaurant to celebrate a faimly members birthday. It was great to see even more family and to celebrate together. Later on that day I went to Goodwill. The prices at this Goodwill are lower then at home. I was happy to find some Barbie dolls, a Lion King coloring/ tracing book, and two My Little Pony toys. I also got some books. I’m happy I managed to do so much in one day.

Sunday – This was my last full day in Idaho before flying home the next day. We went to lunch at a Mexican restaurant that is a favorite of my faimly that lives in Idaho. I got some very yummy vegetarian Mexican food. After lunch my mom and I went to visit another family member. This family member has a farm. I love going there and seeing all the animals. I got to see a very cute calf that I had not seen before. I also got to meet some super cute kittens! I loved taking pictures with the animals and I can’t wait to see them again. Later on that evening my mom and I went swimming! There is a community pool in my grandparents neighborhood. I’ve been swimming at this pool before and I love it. I love that it has a fountain. I’m very happy to say that I’ve gone swimming four times this summer.

Monday- This was the day we went back home. If I’m being honest I really didn’t want to leave. It had been a great trip but it was pretty short. I wasn’t ready to leave yet. However, it was time to go. Usually we get nonstop flights to and from Idaho However, this time we were not able to and we had to stop in Utah first. We didn’t have a lot of time before our second flight but we didn’t have any problems getting to the flight on time. It was a very quick but very fun trip to Idaho and I’m excited to go back!

Colorado adventure June 2022 wrap up

Hello, my bucket list friends! I hope you have enjoyed reading about my adventures in Colorado! In this post I talk about the day we left Colorado and some of my favorite things I did on this trip. Without any more delay let’s get to it!

Colorado day seven- This was the day we flew back home to California. At the airport I bought two more souvenires before I left this beautiful state. I got another snow globe for my collection and a very cute teddy bear that had pictures printed on it of some of the places we visited while in Colorado. This was a very unique bear from the other ones I have seen at airports before. We had a direct flight home and there was still plenty of day light left when we arrived home. When we landed in California we got Starbucks at the airport before going home.

My highlights! – there were so many amazing things that we go to see and do in Colorado but I decided to put together a list of my five favorites it was a hard decision to make but here it is!

1. Denver zoo

2. Denver art museum

3. Isak Heartstone

4. Royal Gorge Bridge

5. Denver selfie museum

Thanks for reading!

Colorado adventure June 2022 part 3

Hello, my bucket list friends!! It’s time for another post about my fun filled vacation to Colorado! In this post we continue our adventures outside of Denver. We explore some caves and ride a train plus a lot more. Let’s get to it.

Colorado day five – on the 5th day of our Colorado vacation we went on a drive to a very fun and interesting place called Glenwood Caverns adventure park! Our main reason for going here was to take a tour of the caves. There are two different caves you can tour here and they are both truly amazing. These caves are so beautiful and interesting. I really enjoyed looking at the caves. If you are ever near this place it is definitely worth checking out. There are also some rides here but we didn’t go on them. The way up to this amusement park is also a lot of fun because you take a gondola to the top of the mountain. I also went to the gift shop here. When we were ready to leave we had a little trouble because of winds we couldn’t take the gondola back down. So we had to wait a little bit. While waiting I got some ice cream. After a little bit of a wait it was time to ride the gondola back down the mountain and drive to out next adventure. We stopped at Starbucks on the way to see something really fun. The next thing I’m gonna tell you about became one of my favorite things I did in Colorado. My mom and I went to visit Isak Heartstone. Isak is a very large and very cute troll sculpture made from wood. Isak lives at the end of his own trail in Breckenridge Colorado. I had so much fun going to see this impressive sculpture. I just love the pictures I took there. This sculpture is so cute and impressive. I highly recommend going to see Isak Heartstone if you are ever in Breckenridge.

Colorado day six – this was our last full day in Colorado. Our adventure for this day was to ride the Cog railway up to Pikes Peak. Pikes Peak is a very well known attraction in Colorado you can drive or even hike there but for us the train seemed like the best option. It takes over an hour for the tain the get to Pikes Peak but it is worth it. There are some beautiful views from the train on the way up. There is a gift shop at the train station but I used the pressed penny machine at the station to make souvenires. Once we got up to Pikes Peak there was a good amount of snow up there. The views here are pretty amazing. However be prepared because there is a chance of altitude sickness when visiting Pikes Peak. There are some displays inside here as well as a gift shop where I got some postcards that you can color. I’m glad we went to vist Pikes Peak I got some wonderful pictures here. It was a great way to spend the last full day of vacation.

My Colorado adventure June 2022 part 1

Hello,my bucket list friends! I recently got back home from an adventure filled vacation to Colorado! I have so much to write about. Here we go!

Colorado day one – The first day of this vacation was similar to a lot of other first days of vacation, meaning that there was an airplane ride and then an Uber ride to the hotel. The big highlight of day one was going swimming in the hotel pool. I love going swimming. I wish I got to go more often. It was a good way to start my vacation.

Colorado day two – On day two I did one of my favorite things. I went to the zoo! I just have to say that the Denver zoo is a lot of fun!I saw so many different kinds of animals including elephant, lions, flamingos,Zebras, raccoons and more! I also got to ride a train and a carousel. The Carousel had so many different animals on it. There was also a lion made out of Legos that was really interesting to see. One of my favorite animals that I saw there was the okapi. They are very cute and I love that we got to get pretty close to them at the zoo. I ended my zoo adventure by getting some souvenires at the gift shop. At the gift shop I got a new snow globe for my collection along with some other items. I also got a souvenire cup with my lunch. After a fun time at the zoo we took an Uber to downtown Denver. Our first stop was the Denver selfie museum! I love going to places like this. I’ve been to two other places like this before and I loved them both. I was super excited to take some fun photos at this museum and let me tell you something this place did not disappoint! There were so many fun backgrounds and props that looked amazing in pictures. I loved the fuzzy purple background that had old fashion phones attached to it. I also loved the smiley face background and the bubblegum background that was full of candy machines that had yellow gumballs in them. After taking a lot of fun pictures we walked to a souvenire store. I got some great things there including another snow globe,a plush moose, post cards, key chains and more! It was a day full of fun and adventure!

Thank you for reading this post about some of my adventures in Colorado.

Hello, my bucket list friends! I’ve been meaning to write this post for a while now and it looks like I finally have the to time and energy to do it! It can be hard when you have a lot to write about but not a lot of energy to write it! Anyways last month I went to Idaho to visit family. I try to make more then one trip to Idaho every year if I can. In 2021 I went 3 times! I’m pretty happy with that. On this trip to Idaho there was a lot of snow and because of that I didn’t get to do an activity like going to the zoo or a museum. However,I did get to see family, go the movies, and go thrift shopping. It had been a while since I had gone to the movies it was definitely good to go again. We saw American Underdog. It was a pretty good movie. For thrift shopping we went to the Idaho youth ranch. I got some pretty cool things there including an American Girl Games and Giggles book, some 101 Dalmatians toys and a Disney snow globe. I also got to use a 3-D printer for the first time! I love the turtle that I got to color with paint pens. I also enjoyed taking pictures in the snow! I love the way snow looks in photos! I also got to see some very cute animals. A fun trip to vist family was a good way to end the year.

Florida vacation 2021 part six

Hello,my bucket list friends! Here we are at the the six and final part of my Florida vacation posts! This part is going to be a little different from the others because we didn’t go to the Disney Parks or Disney springs on this day of our trip. We decided to explore Florida outside of Disney world. We signed up for a tour that lasted most of the day. After we got picked up by the tour company,we headed to our first adventure of the day. We got to go swimming with sea cows! Since the weather was warm the day ,there were not many of them around. However we got to see one very cute sea cow! She was happily eating. It was a cool experience. I enjoyed the boat ride a getting to  swim. Our next tour stop was my favorite Homosassa Springs wildlife state park. I loved looking at the animals here. There were so many beautiful birds.there was also a hippo and a Bear. We didn’t have whole lot of time here but I really enjoyed the time we had. There was also a gift shop here. I’m gald we had a little bit of extra time to fo shopping before getting back in the tour van. I Really want to go back here someday. Our last tour stop was to go on an air boat ride. Air boats are very fun to ride in. It kind of felt like a roller coaster at some points. I would like do this again as well. That evening my mom and I went shopping at the Disney character where house. This store sells discounted items from the Disney parks. When I saw that we were close to one. I  really wanted to go. I got some fun items here including a 2021 pin. The next day we went back home. We missed our first flight because of a very long line. However we made it home safe the day we had planned on. Thank you so much for reading my Florida adventure!

Florida vacation 2021 part five

Hello, my bucket list friends! It may seem like it but I haven’t forgotten about my Florida vacation posts. Here we are at part five of my vacation. On this day we went to Magic Kingdom.  I’m pretty sure this is the most popular park in Disney world. It’s the one with Cinderella’s castle. Just like Disney’s Hollywood studios this park was also very credit the day of our visit. However we were still able to experience some fun attractions. Some of my favorite rides we went on were the people mover, the Carousel, Buzz lightyear space ranger spin and Pirates of the Caribbean. One thing I was excited to do was to go to the Hall of President’s. Last time we were in Florida I went to this attraction but my parents did not and I was excited to show it to them. I also got to go on my favorite ride in this park. It’s a small world is my favorite at both Disneyland in California and Magic Kingdom in Florida. This ride is like jumping into a painting. It turly is a work of art! On this day of my trip I got one of my favorite Disney snacks a soft Mickey Mouse shaped pretzel! For our meal that day we had lunch at the Diamond horseshoe. They had a really good vegetarian menu and I wish I could eat there again! My favorite souvenire that I got on this day is a Mickey Mouse Christmas themed magnet. We also took pictures in front of the castle. I’m happy with the way ours pictures look. I wish we would have gotten to do more but it was pretty crowded. Overall it was a good day. Thanks for reading!

Florida vacation 2021 part four

Hello,my bucket list friends! It’s time for part four of my vacation to Florida. The day after we went to Disney’s Hollywood studios we took a day off from going to the parks and spent some time at Disney springs. Disney springs is a large outdoor shopping and dining area. Just like the parks Disney Springs has plenty to explore. My favorite store in Disney Springs is called World of Disney. It is a very large Disney store. I enjoyed shopping there and getting some cool souvenires. We also came across a store called Basin where I got a bath bomb. I have not tried it yet but I hope to soon. We ate lunch at a restaurant call the Boat House. I had some really amazing pasta there. I was really excited to see that there was a carousel at Disney Springs. I don’t remember seeing one when I was there before. My mom and I had a fun time riding it. I wish I could ride a carousel every day. Disney springs also had a lot of beautifully decorated Christmas trees. You could get free map that had circles where all the trees were located. It also came with stickers that represented the theme of that tree. Once you put the stickers on the circles you could get a prize. I got a really cool button once I put all the stickers on the map. I enjoyed Disney Springs and I hope to go again one day.

Florida vacation 2021 part three

Hello,my bucket list friends! It’s time for part three of my Florida vacation. On this day we went to Disney’s Hollywood studios. This park had gone through some changes since we were there last. I was very excited to ride Mickey and Minnie’s runaway railway. This ride was not there the last time we visited. This was the first ride that we road that day. The line was already pretty long even early in the day. However it was worth the wait. This ride is so cute and fun. I wish I could have road it more then once. This park was very crowded when we were there and it was hard to enjoy at certain points. Even with the crowds we still manged to do some great rides. We paid for the lighting lane to go on Rise of the Resistance. It was expensive but we all really liked the ride. It was a fun adventure and I hope to go on this ride again some day. Another one of my favorite rides in Disney’s Hollywood studios is Toy Story midway mania. They have this ride in California Adventure on the west coast so I have gone on it a few times. I’m glad we were able to do this ride however we were not able to go on any other rides in the Toy Story area of the park. We had lunch at a restaurant called the Hollywood brown derby. I liked this restaurant and the food I had there. My plate looks amazing in the picture I took. I also got a pretty good picture of me with Goofy in the background. Another thing we did was watch the Beauty and the Beast show. I watched this show that lest time we were here and I was happy that we got to do again. One of my favorite things we did was Walt Disney presents. This attraction is a gallery and there is also a movie about Walt Disney there. I highly recommend checking this out if you get the chance. After spending the day at the park we checked into Disney’s all star movies hotel. The night I went to the photo booth that was located in the arcade. I love photo booths! I wish there were more common then they are. I also went to the gift shop at the hotel. I loved staying at the all star resorts I liked music a little better than movies but the were both awesome.
