My latest weekend adventures!

Hello,my bucket list friends! It’s time for another weekend blog post! This weekend I went to a local attraction that I had never been to before and went thrift shopping. I’m excited to tell you all about that and more! Before we dive into my weekend I just wanted to say that I usually start my weekend posts with what I did on Friday. However,I already covered that in another post. ( You can read about it HERE) Now, with all being said let’s get into my weekend adventures.

Saturday – My big adventure on Saturday was going to visit Hakone Gardens for the first time. This attraction is pretty close to where I live but I had never visited it before. Before we went to the garden my mom and I stopped at Starbucks for some cold drinks because it was a hot day. When we got to the gardens we parked in the large parking lot. I was both happy and surprised to see that it wasn’t very busy. We went to the gift shop to buy our tickets for the garden. I also got some souvenires. After the gift shop it was time to explore the gardens. There where many beautiful things to see in Hakone Gardens. Some of my favorites are the water fall, the Koi fish in the pond, the bamboo garden and this cute little bridge. I had a fun time taking pictures and walking around the gardens. There were some spots where there was a really good view. There was some construction going on so we didn’t get to explore all of the paths around the garden but I’m very happy with what we were able to see especially the waterfall. Waterfalls are so relaxing to watch and listen to. I also liked that there was a good amount of shade in the gardens because it was a very hot and sunny day. After enjoying the garden we went to one of my favorite Goodwill locations. I did not get a huge haul on this thrift trip but I did find some fun things that I was excited to take home with me. Goodwill gets items from Target that they didn’t sale and on this thrift shopping adventure every thing I got except for one thing came from the Target section. The one item that I got that was not from Target was a craft kit. This craft kit comes with a roll of tape that has designs on it and markers to color it with. This was an interesting craft kit and I was happy to have found it at the Goodwill. The other things that I got that were from the Target section where a wooden craft kit, an ice skating Barbie doll, and some summer themed bubbles. I’m happy with my small but awesome thrift haul. After Goodwill we went to Starbucks again for more cold drinks because it was a very hot day.

Sunday – I did some errands on Sunday. I was also having bad muscle pain on my side so I didn’t have that much fun when I was out running errands. However I still went to Starbucks and I also went to Safeway and got chocolate that had prizes inside. I’m happy to say that I’m feeling much better now and I was still able to enjoy my weekend.

The little things that made me smile last week. :)

Hello, my bucket list friends. I believe It is important to talk about the positive things in life. It is not always an easy thing to do but it can be good for your mental health. During last week there were some good moments that I want to share with you so here we go!

Monday- After work on Monday, I went to 7-11 for Slurpee day! I didn’t get the free size though. I celebrated the day with a large size Slurpee. Cherry is my favorite Slurpee flavor and that’s what I got!

Tuesday- My mom came to my work on my lunch break and we went to Panera Bread. I love the veggie sandwich that they have here. I’ve had it many times and it is always very yummy.

Friday – On Friday during my lunch break I went to the swing set at my work and went on the swing for a little bit. After work I went to Whole Foods I hadn’t been there in a while so I was excited to go. I got some yummy food of course but I also got this super cute pencil set. That evening I took a walk to go see my horse friend Dominic. I always enjoy going to see him.

Thanks for reading and have a great week !

One four day weekend and one regular weekend!

Hello, my bucket list friends! It looks like I’ve fallen behind on my weekend blog posts,so the best thing to do in a time like this is to combine the posts! That’s right my friends in this post I will be covering what I did this weekend plus what I did over the long 4th of July weekend. I have a lot to cover in this post so let’s get to it!

Fourth of July weekend

Friday – After work on Friday, I went thrift shopping at Savers. I had a coupon and I was excited to use it. When I went to the store I was disappointed to see that there were not many dolls there. However, I still manged to find some fun things that I was excited to welcome to my collection. My favorite item I got was this American Girl puzzle set that comes with a frame to put the puzzle in. Some of my other favorites from this thrift ship adventure include a pair of Old Navy shorts, a squishy plush owl from TY, a Disney mug from the Allstar Sports resort, and a unicorn from Build a Bear Workshop that had a cute outfit on. It was a good way to start off this long weekend. On Saturday I went to Starbucks and the Dollar Tree. At the Dollar Tree I got a set of 4th of July magnets and a pop bracelet that I’m actually wearing right now. On Saturday evening I went with my parents to see Point of Grace in concert. The concert was in a beautiful venue that was in the middle of a bunch of redwood trees. The concert was great! I’m so glad we got to go and see it. Sunday was the day before the 4th of July. I went to Starbucks of course. I also went to Safeway. At Safeway I got one of my favorite things. Candy that comes with a toy inside. On July 4th I started my celebration by doing a July 4th craft kit. My mom and I went to a local park that was having a 4th of July celebration. We road the train that they have there. We also listened to an orchestra that was performing at the park. My work was also was closed on the 5th so I had an extra day to sleep in and take it easy. I took a bath with two bath bombs and I went to vist my horse friend Dominic. It was a pretty awesome long weekend.

Normal two day weekend. – Last weekend was a pretty normal and a pretty relaxed weekend. On Friday after work I went to Target. My main goal at Target was to get bath bombs. I got four bath bombs that had prizes inside. I also got another Barbie doll for my collection. When Saturday came I didn’t have any solid plans but I did end up going to Starbucks, Yogurtland, and a local park. It had been a while since I went to Yogurtland. I was happy to go again. When we got to the park I was surprised to see that it was not very crowded. I walked with my mom and Axle ( a super cute dog) then I went to the playground to go down the slide. On Sunday I decided to use two of the bath bombs I got from Target. I also drew my summer picture that day. It was a simple but an overall enjoyable weekend.

Drawing a summer picture!

Hello, my bucket list friends! Back in 2010 I started drawing a picture to celebrate summer. I did miss 2011 but other than that I’ve been doing it ever since. Today was the day I drew this year’s picture. I used colored pencils and crayons for this year’s picture. I’m really happy with the way my picture looks. I was just kind of making things up as I went when I drew this picture. However, I’m very happy to have this drawing as a part of my art collection.

June summer fun catch-up 2022

Hello,my bucket list friends! I know it’s July already. However, during June I was so busy writing about my Colorado adventure that I didn’t have time to write about all the little summer adventures that June had in store. I have a big appreciation for all the little things in life that make me smile so without any more delay let’s get to it.

Father’s day- On Father’s day I went to lunch with my family. It was great to see my sister. We went to this burger restaurant that had a yummy veggie burger. After lunch we walked to and ice cream place. It was a beautiful and fun summer day.

Fun summer treats – I’ve enjoyed some fun summer treats this year. The one the stands out to me was these summer berry waffle ice cream bars from Häagen-Dazs. They are very yummy and I highly recommend them.

My new friend Dominic- My neighbor got a new horse named Dominic and we have become friends. I posted a reel of us on Instagram and it got over 4000 views.

Graduation at my work – At the beginning of June my work has a graduation ceremony for the pre-K class. We had a beautifully decorated stage and the kids did a great job singing the songs we practiced.

Mental health beach day

Hello,my bucket list friends! On Monday I took a mental health day. I have OCD and sometimes I’m in need of a mental health day. Monday was of of thoes days. On this mental health day I decided it would be a good idea to go to the beach. I live about 20 minutes or so from the beach but I don’t go very often and the weekends are the worst time to go due to the crowds. Since I had nothing else planned that day my mom and I along with one of our favorite dogs in the whole world went to one my favorite beaches. Even though it was a Monday the parking lot was full when we got there but we didn’t have to wait long for a space to become available. It was a beautiful summer day and it was so nice to walk along the beach and put my feet in the water. I took a lot of pictures and Axle (the dog) had great time running on the beach and saying hi to other dogs. My friend lives even closer to the beach then I do so she met us at the beach. It was great to see her. It can be hard to find time to spend with friends so I was very happy we got to spend some time together. After our walk on the beach my friend and I went to the little store by the parking lot. I was hungry after all that walking. I got some snacks and a cute turtle souvenire that was made out of shells. It was a good beach day I hope I can go again before summer ends!

Summer shopping fun 2022

Hello, my bucket list friends! This past weekend I had my summer mall weekend. This is a tradition of mine where I go to the Dollar Tree on Friday and then I go to the mall on Saturday. I love shopping and summertime. That is the main reason why I do this in summer. Plus it is a great idea to spend a hot summer day inside of an air-conditioned mall!

Dollar Tree- After work on Friday I went the Dollar Tree. I didn’t go to my favorite location because it was further away from my work. The location I went to is usually pretty disorganized and this time was no different. However, I still got a lot of great items. Some of my favorite items I got are two Hot Wheels monster truck toys, summer wall decorations, a 4th of July themed craft kit,a Barbie craft kit, summer stickers, and a My little pony coloring book. Yes, the store was disorganized but it was still very easy to find things to put in my basket. I was very happy with the items I  got. I also got some Jelly Belly brand sparkling waters. I love getting thoes when I go to the Dollar Tree.

Mall – On Saturday I visited my favorite local mall. The first store I went to was Claire’s. This store is always at the top of my list when I go to the mall. They have a clearance section and this great buy three get three free promotion. I bought some nice items here including some hair clips that have strawberries, ice pops, and watermelon slices on them. I also got this super cute movie theater themed earing set that was on sale. I was very happy about this super cute headband that I got too. After Claire’s I went to the candy store next door. I got two pieces of candy there. My next store was Old Navy where I was looking for flip-flops and a a new t-shirt and of course I found both. Old Navy has great flip-flops and I have a few of their graphic tees. Now, this next part is a lot of fun because I went to Build a Bear Workshop!! They have this collection called Heartables where you open a bag and see what animal you get to make. I got a very cute purple fox. I named her Violet Waves. She is super cute! After that I went to Daiso where I got some fun things. Including erasers that where shaped like sheep and stickers. While I was at the mall I went to this really good vegan place for lunch. One thing about this mall that makes it my favorite is that it has a Target in it. I went to Target and as always I found some great items. Some of my favorite things I got are a new Barbie doll, a slap bracelet ruler, a bag of erasers, and bath bombs that have prizes inside. I also went to Forever 21 where I got some cute socks. I also love taking pictures when I’m at the mall. I was happy to see some art and a floral display that made great backgrounds for photos. It was a warm day so I got a refresher at Starbucks before going home. It was a good mall day and I’m very happy with the items I got.

Thank you for reading about my summer shopping spree!

Colorado adventure June 2022 wrap up

Hello, my bucket list friends! I hope you have enjoyed reading about my adventures in Colorado! In this post I talk about the day we left Colorado and some of my favorite things I did on this trip. Without any more delay let’s get to it!

Colorado day seven- This was the day we flew back home to California. At the airport I bought two more souvenires before I left this beautiful state. I got another snow globe for my collection and a very cute teddy bear that had pictures printed on it of some of the places we visited while in Colorado. This was a very unique bear from the other ones I have seen at airports before. We had a direct flight home and there was still plenty of day light left when we arrived home. When we landed in California we got Starbucks at the airport before going home.

My highlights! – there were so many amazing things that we go to see and do in Colorado but I decided to put together a list of my five favorites it was a hard decision to make but here it is!

1. Denver zoo

2. Denver art museum

3. Isak Heartstone

4. Royal Gorge Bridge

5. Denver selfie museum

Thanks for reading!

Colorado adventure June 2022 part 3

Hello, my bucket list friends!! It’s time for another post about my fun filled vacation to Colorado! In this post we continue our adventures outside of Denver. We explore some caves and ride a train plus a lot more. Let’s get to it.

Colorado day five – on the 5th day of our Colorado vacation we went on a drive to a very fun and interesting place called Glenwood Caverns adventure park! Our main reason for going here was to take a tour of the caves. There are two different caves you can tour here and they are both truly amazing. These caves are so beautiful and interesting. I really enjoyed looking at the caves. If you are ever near this place it is definitely worth checking out. There are also some rides here but we didn’t go on them. The way up to this amusement park is also a lot of fun because you take a gondola to the top of the mountain. I also went to the gift shop here. When we were ready to leave we had a little trouble because of winds we couldn’t take the gondola back down. So we had to wait a little bit. While waiting I got some ice cream. After a little bit of a wait it was time to ride the gondola back down the mountain and drive to out next adventure. We stopped at Starbucks on the way to see something really fun. The next thing I’m gonna tell you about became one of my favorite things I did in Colorado. My mom and I went to visit Isak Heartstone. Isak is a very large and very cute troll sculpture made from wood. Isak lives at the end of his own trail in Breckenridge Colorado. I had so much fun going to see this impressive sculpture. I just love the pictures I took there. This sculpture is so cute and impressive. I highly recommend going to see Isak Heartstone if you are ever in Breckenridge.

Colorado day six – this was our last full day in Colorado. Our adventure for this day was to ride the Cog railway up to Pikes Peak. Pikes Peak is a very well known attraction in Colorado you can drive or even hike there but for us the train seemed like the best option. It takes over an hour for the tain the get to Pikes Peak but it is worth it. There are some beautiful views from the train on the way up. There is a gift shop at the train station but I used the pressed penny machine at the station to make souvenires. Once we got up to Pikes Peak there was a good amount of snow up there. The views here are pretty amazing. However be prepared because there is a chance of altitude sickness when visiting Pikes Peak. There are some displays inside here as well as a gift shop where I got some postcards that you can color. I’m glad we went to vist Pikes Peak I got some wonderful pictures here. It was a great way to spend the last full day of vacation.
