Breaktime shopping

Hello, my bucket list friends! As I have mentioned before I got a job at Walgreens. One of the things I like about working there is getting to go shopping on my breaks. I love seeing new products when they come in, I also love seeing what items are on clearance. Saturday on my break I got a notebook, pens , two Kinder Joy eggs, juice with a toy on top, and some socks that have a coffee mug pattern. On Friday I got some butterfly hair clips that were on sale. Thursday I got a fun nail art kit that comes with a ring and I also bought a Hot Wheels car. In addition to that I got another Hot Wheels car yesterday! I’m looking forward to Christmas time for many reasons but one reason is that I know there will be a lot of fun items that I will want to buy when I’m on my breaks!

My summer shopping spree June 2023

Hello, my bucket list, friends! I’m working on getting caught up with my blog posts. This adventure takes place the weekend after I came back from Connecticut. every summer I do a little shopping spree where I go to the Dollar Tree on Friday and then I go to the mall the next day. I had a lot of fun doing my shopping spree this year and I can’t wait to tell you about it so let’s get to it!

Friday, June 23 – On this day, I worked the closing shift. Before work, I took an Uber to my favorite local Dollar Tree location. I love this location because it is always nice and organized. As usual, I had no problem finding items to put in my basket. Some of my favorite items I got included blind bags that have a squishy toys inside, a Barbie paper doll set, a pop toy shaped like a flower, two playdoh sets, two Crayola craft kits, stickers, and three Barbie tooth brushes. I also got two summer themed decorations. I was very happy with my Dollar Tree haul. This was the perfect way to start my summer shopping spree. I’m glad I went to my favorite Dollar Tree location.  After the Dollar Tree, I went to Starbucks because I had time before work. I also had time to stop by the candy store before going to work. After work I went to Pizza My Heart. It was a really good day.

Saturday, June 24 – I had the day off today. I made sure to get my Uber early to avoid traffic. However, because of my early ride, I had a little bit of time before the mall opened, so I stared my shopping off by going to the Target store that is attached to the mall. I entered the store by the dollar section. I got a bag of erasers and some glow bracelets in that area. Some of the other things I got at Target included a foam craft kit where you make art the looks like ice cream cones and a Barbie doll. After Target, I went into the mall. I went to Forever 21, where I got a few things, including a pair of pink Barbie brand shoes. One of my favorite stores at the mall is Claire’s. At Claire’s, I got some hair bows, including some 4th of July themed hair bows. I also went shopping at Daiso. There are always so many cute things at that store. Another one of my favorite mall stores is Old Navy. I got two pairs of flip flips and a shirt. This mall also has set up some places to take photos, so of course I had fun doing that. One of my big highlights of the day was going to Build a Bear Workshop. I made a plush frog, and I named her California Summer. I always have fun at Build a Bear Workshop, and this time was no different. I also made a stop the food count for lunch where I got a veggie burger and fries. Another one of my favorite things to do at the mall is to go to the photo booth. In the photo booth, I chose a fun summer background. I really liked the way my photos turned out. I made a stop at Starbucks before getting an Uber home. It was a really fun day!

Some photos and highlights from this week!

It is no secret that I love taking pictures and writing about the fun little things in my everyday life. I thought it would be fun to share some pictures and things that I enjoyed this week. I’m also going to include Friday in this post since I will be including Monday in my next weekend post. Let’s get to it!

Monday – On this day, I worked the opening shift. I got to town early because sometimes it can be hard to get Uber to come to my house quickly. I went to the coffee shop like normal, but I decided that I did not want to wait there until my shift started. Even though I had not planned on it , I went to the thrift store. I was excited when I got to the thrift store, and I saw that there was a buy one get one free on stuffed animals. I got a Build a Bear and a TY Bennie Boo. They were priced at $5 each, so I got them both for only $5. I also got some books and a bag of erasers. After work, I went to Starbucks and went for a walk in the park. That evening, I went on a walk to go see my favorite ponies.

Tuesday – I worked the opening shift this day. Before work I went to the coffee shop and after work I went to the candy store. I was having a craving for chocolate. I got a bunch of chocolate from the bulk bins a, lollypop with a plastic mouth attached, and I also got a soda to do a review of. I have not tried the soda yet, but I plan to soon. I went to the park after work, and I took this really cute selfie on a swing. I ended up making it my profile picture for Facebook and Instagram.

Wednesday – I had this day off. I decided to focus on my writing. I published an article on Vocal Media ( You can read it HERE ). I also published my weekend blog post. ( You can read it HERE ) Other than that, I just stayed home and relaxed except for going on a walk to see my favorite ponies.

Thursday – On this day, I worked the closing shift. It was a normal day with coffee before work. Someone brought donuts to work, and that is all I have to say about Thursday.

Friday – On this day, I worked the opening shift my. My friend took me to work but before that we went to Starbucks. It was great to have coffee with a friend. It is always harder to see friends when everyone’s schedule is different. That was a wonderful way to start my day! My shift went well, and I went to the candy store afterward. I got a ring pop and another lollypop that has plastic lips attached. That evening, I went to Safeway, where I got two juices that have toys as part of the lid, and I also got cupcakes that come with rings. They only had the ones with rings in a large container, so I had some and took the rest to work.

My Mother’s day weekend

Hello, my bucket list, friends! Once again, another weekend has gone by. Time seems to be getting faster and faster with every passing day. June is on the way and I’m so excited because I’m very ready for summer! I’m not upset that time is going by this fast because I’ve got some very fun plans coming up in June and July. Even though I don’t have any major plans this month, I did enjoy celebrating my mom on Sunday. Without any more delay, let’s get to the post about my weekend!

Friday – On this day, I worked the closing shift. I got dropped off early because I wanted to get my mom some gifts for Mother’s Day. I went to the candy store, and I got my mom a bar of dark chocolate, and I got myself a package that had both toys and candy inside. At a gift shop, I got some other gifts for my mom. I also got myself a craft kit where you color a pair of socks. When I was done shopping I went to the coffee shop. Then it was time for work, and as usual, I enjoyed being at work surrounded by beautiful house plants. After work, I went to Safeway, where I got some great times like my favorite fruit snacks, but my favorite things that I got were two Lion King Pez dispensers. I was so excited when I saw them and it was only three dollars for both of them! It was a pretty great day.

Saturday – On this day, I worked the opening shift. I went to town early, and I stayed at the coffee shop for a while as I waited for my favorite local thrift shop to open. I got to the thrift a little bit before it opened, and people were waiting outside for it to open. At the thrift store, I got a gift bag and a card for my Mother’s Day present. I also got some things for myself including a Build a Bear brand plush dog, a Hot Wheels truck still in the package, a cup shaped like a panda that comes with a attached straw, and a set of headbands that you can decorate. After thrift shopping, I went to work and opened the store. It was a good day for sales, and that made me happy. After work, I went to the toy store, and I got a craft kit and some stickers. After that, I got something to eat before going home. I enjoyed my Saturday.

Sunday – Today was Mother’s Day, and it was also a day off for me! I started the day with coffee and church. At church, they handed out beautiful red roses for Mother’s Day. After church, we went home for a while before going to our late lunch reservation. We ate at a place that I had never been to before. It turned out to be a really good place and we all enjoyed it. The cinnamon rolls were amazing! After that we walked to a park and saw some friends from church. It was good to talk with them. My mother also really liked her Mother’s Day gifts. It was another great day.

Candy and other sweet things

Hello, my bucket friends! I have finally gotten some time to sit down and write my weekend blog  post! This weekend, I did some of my favorite things such as shopping and enjoying candy! I can’t wait to share all of it with you, so let’s get to it!

Friday – On this day, I worked the opening shift at the plant store. Before my shift started, I went to the local thrift store that I have been going to a lot lately.  Some of my favorite things I got there were a TY cat backpack , some sunglasses, and a bag of rubber ducks. After thrift shopping, I went and began my opening shift. My shift went well. After I left work, I went to the candy store, and I got a PEZ dispenser and some bulk candy. I also stopped at the coffee shop because I did not have time to go that morning.  It was a fun and enjoyable day.

Saturday – I also worked the opening shift on this day before I started my shift, I went to Starbucks and got a hot coffee. Coffee is one of my favorite ways to start the day. As usual, the day went well. After work, I walked down to the toy store. I got some fun things at the toy store, including stickers, a tube of plastic animals, another Pez dispenser , and a bead maze game. I had a fun time shopping at the toy store, and when  my mom picked me up, we went on some errands, including Safeway. At Safeway way I got two chocolate candies that come with toys. Saturday was a simple but good day.

Sunday – I worked the closing shift on this day. My day started off with coffee and church. Church was good, and after we went to Panera Bread for lunch. I had a really good grain bowl that was full of yummy things like tomatoes and avocado. When I got dropped off  for work, I had some time, so I went into this shop that sells vintage clothes and gifts. However, I was there because I wanted to get a bath bomb. They sell bath bombs that have prizes in them. I got a blue bath bomb that came with a pop toy inside. The store also had some stickers. I want to go back there and take a closer look at the stickers. Oh, and as normal work went well. I love my job at the plant store.

Last weekend of April 2023 !

Hello, my bucket list, friends! Last weekend, we wrapped up another month of 2023! This year is truly going by very fast! I’m actually happy about that because I’m excited for summer! Anyways, it’s time to talk about what I did last weekend. Here we go!

Friday – Just like last weekend, I worked the early shift on Friday. I also went to my my favorite local thrift store after I got my coffee just like I did the Friday before. I know thrift stores are always getting new things, so I was curious to see what I could find this week. With my coffee in hand, I walked into the thrift store and began to look for treasures! Some of my favorite things that I found were two Pez dispensers (including a very cute ladybug)  a package of Crayola markers , a Garfield ruler, and an American Girl doll sewing pattern. After thrift shopping, I worked the opening shift at the plant store. My shift went well, and after my shift, I went to Safeway. At Safeway, I got three Kinder Joy eggs and a lollipop that comes with a curly straw. I also got normal food items that I needed. After going to Safeway, my mom and I went on a walk at a park. I got to go on the playground and take some pictures. It was a pretty good day.

Saturday- I also worked the opening shift at work on this day. Before work, we went to the same park that we went to the day before. After that, I picked up my order at Starbucks. Then it was time to go to work. After work , I went to Target. I was excited to go there because there were these new bath bombs that I wanted to get. They are from one of my favorite bath bomb brands. I love this brand because their bath bombs have prizes inside.  In addition to the bath bombs, I got two craft kits and a Skipper Target doll. One of the craft kits that I got is summer themed. It has a few different projects that you can make. I’m excited to make some fun summer crafts. At home that night, I used one of the bath bombs. It had a cute prize inside that looked like sunglasses. I also did a craft kit that I got at Five Below that night. It was a simple painting kit, but I really enjoyed doing it. It was a kit where you get to paint your own magnet. This one was shaped like cherries. Doing this craft kit was a great way to end the day.

Sunday – On this day, I worked the closing shift at work. I started off the morning by going to get coffee and then going to church. After church but before work, we went to the hardware store. I got one of those water games. It had the word summer on it, so of course I wanted it! After the hardware store, we went to lunch. I had a really good veggie burrito. When I got dropped off for work, I had sometime before my shift started. I went to the candy store and the coffee shop before work. At  the candy store I got some candy but I also got a Pez dispenser. After getting candy and coffee, I walked to work to begin my shift. My shift went well and after work my mom and I went on a walk it was a good way to end the weekend.

Thrift shopping again, Dollar Tree, and lots of coffee

Hello, my bucket list, friends! I’m here to tell you about my weekend! This weekend wasn’t super exciting, but I did go to the Dollar Tree for the first time in a while. I also went to my favorite local thrift store again, and I got some fun items, including a Ty beanie buddy plush! Now that I have properly introduced this blog post, let’s get to it!

Friday – On this day, I left early for work. I was working the opening shift, and I have had some difficulty getting rides with Uber lately, so I called for an Uber much earlier than usual. This was a good thing, though, because not only did I get a ride without stress, I  had time to get coffee and go to the thrift store before work. At the thrift store, they were having a sale on plush toys. I was very happy when I saw a Ty beanie buddy on the shelf. I didn’t see any other plush toys that I wanted to add to my collection, but I did find more items that I wanted to take home with me. I got some books including an activity book. I also got some fun stickers and a bookmark. After shopping I went to work and it went well. I was also able to go to the candy store. It was a good start to my weekend.

Saturday – I had the day off. My biggest highlight of the day was getting go shopping at the Dollar Tree. I had not been to the Dollar Tree for a while, and I was happy to go and see what fun items I could find. I was happy to see that there were  summer items available. I got a package of two summer themed cups in the seasonal section. I didn’t find anything that was super exciting, but I did get some fun items, including a new hair bow, stickers, and a Crayola brand toothbrush set. While I was out, I also got a squishy toy at the hardware store, an iced coffee at McDonald’s, and Kinder Joy eggs at Safeway. I miss the Easter Kinder Joy eggs, but the NBA ones are pretty cool. It was a pretty good day!

Sunday – On this day, I worked the closing shift at work. However, I started my day off the best way you can start a Sunday, in my opinion. With coffee and church! After church, my parents and I went into town, and we had lunch at Baja Fresh. I got the veggie bowl that I normally get there. It is really good. I recommend it. It was also the last day to buy girl scout cookies, so we bought some. Thin mints are my favorites! When I got dropped off for work, I still had some time before my shift started, so I got an iced coffee at the coffee shop by my work. My shift went well, and after work, I went on a walk at the park. It was a good way to end my weekend

Another delivery, thrift shopping and a beautiful walk

Hello, my bucket list friends it is the time for another weekend blog post! I know my posts have not been very exciting lately, but summer is on the way, and like I said in my last weekend post. I have big plans for the summer, including bucket list items! However, I did enjoy some of my favorite things this weekend, such as shopping and coffee. I think that is enough introduction for this post, so let’s get to it!

Friday – I had this day off.  However, I was in need of some food items, so I did another Walmart order through Instacart. I mainly ordered the food items that I needed, but I did add some fun items to my order. Those fun items were a bag of colorful craft sticks, two Kinder Joy eggs, one blind bag Barbie pets toy, and a bag of puzzle piece shaped magnets that you can decorate. After I received my delivery, I got creative with the craft sticks that I ordered. My original plan was to make shapes out of the craft sticks by gluing them together with hot glue. However, I was unable to find a hot glue gun. With some inspiration from Pintrest, I decided to glue the craft sticks on paper with a glue stick and then draw on them. I really enjoyed doing this. I had a fun time coming up with designs that I wanted to draw.

Saturday – I worked the closing shift on this day, but I went into town early because I had some things that I wanted to do before work. I also wanted to avoid traffic. When I got to town, I went to my favorite local thrift store that I have been going to a lot lately. I did not know if I would find much since it had not been a very long time since I had last been there. The first item that I put in my shopping basket was a  Squishmallow toy. I’m still not planning on collecting them, but I will probably get them every now and then when I see one for a good price. My other big find find were some Crayola crayons that I’m pretty sure are both from the 80s. One package had a year on it. I also got two books, two bookmarks, some stickers including beach themed stickers, and a hat. After I bought my items, the thrift store staff gave me a drawstring bag for the things that I bought. After the thrift store, I went to the candy store. I got two items, including a fan that has candy inside it also has a dog from Paw Patrol on top of it. The other item I got was a lollypop that has different flavors on it, and it spins around like a windmill. I walked around for a little bit before going to the coffee shop that I usually go to. After spending some time at the coffee shop, I went to work. I enjoyed my day at work, and when I got picked up, I went to the park with my mom and the neighbor’s dog. I had a good time at the park. After stopping at home for a little bit, I went back out to do some shopping. The big highlight of my nighttime shopping trip was getting Kinder Joy eggs and my favorite fruit snacks at Safeway. It was a busy day, but it was also a great day.

Sunday – I had the day off, and I took it easy for most of the day, but I did get to go on a walk and see my favorite ponies. It was a beautiful day, and since we have gotten a lot of rain this year, we have beautiful flowers and green grass all around us most of the time during our walk. After our walk, we did go into town. I was excited to go to Starbucks since it had been a little while since I had last gone there. I was very happy to get an iced coffee after my walk. I also needed to get cough drops, so I went to Walgreens. At Walgreens, I looked at the Easter section. I did not think I would find anything thing else that I would want since I had already gone there on Monday. However, since everything was deeply discounted, I wanted to see if there was anything else that would interest me. I ended up getting two Easter ring pops and a plush animal in a plastic egg. I was very happy to find those items because I did not see them on Monday. I was pleasantly surprised. It was a good way to end the weekend.

Thank you for reading about my weekend fun!
