Savers, Dollar Tree,my amazing friend and more!

Hello, my bucket list friends! It’s a time for another what I did this weekend blog post. I did a few fun things this weekend that I’m excited to tell you about. So let’s get to it.

Friday –  After work I went to Savers.  I had a coupon that got me 30% off toys and other items. As always I  was excited to see what I could find. The first thing I added to my cart was a My Little Pony Lite Brite  toy. There were a few Barbie dolls available not a lot but more then I have been seeing. I got two of them. In the plush animal area I got a plush horse from Build a Bear Workshop. Some other things I got were American Girl books, TY Beanie Babies collector guides, an earing set and some wooden Christmas shapes that you can paint or color. I was very happy to have the coupon with me since I got a good amount of items.

Saturday- One thing about the weekends that can be difficult is that you have to try and fit a lot of things into a pretty short amount of time. That’s how Saturday was. However, it did end up being a very good day. I went to Starbucks then my mom and I took the neighbor’s dog for a walk in the park. After that we came home and not long after that I left with my dad to go help with making food for homeless people. It goes without saying but I think it needs to be said. It feels good to help others. Since the shelter we were volunteering at was close to where my amazing friend lives. I went to met her when we were done. We met her at one of my favorite places the Dollar Tree. It was so great to see her! It had been a while since we got to hang out.  I had so much fun shopping and talking to her. At the Dollar Tree I found so many amazing things. Including some My Little Pony blind bag bracelets and toys. As well as some other blind bag toys including some that come in little tea cups. Some other items that I got were a bath bomb with a prize inside, candy, play-doh, and a hair bow. After having a wonderful time shopping with my friend, my dad and I went to Taco Bell. I love Taco Bell it is one of the best fast food places for vegetarians. Going there was a great way to wrap up the day.

Sunday – Sunday was a little different because it did something that it does not do a lot where I live especially lately. It rained! It had been a long time since I’d seen a rainy day. We had some errands to run that day and it was good to get out of the house. I’m happy to say that one of thoes errands included going to Starbucks. We also went grocery shopping and to Walgreens. At Walgreens I got a bath bomb and a clay art kit. It was an overall relaxing day.

It’s safe to say that I had a pretty good weekend! Thanks for reading.

Wonderful lavender slime and a thrift shopping adventure

Hello, my bucket list friends! I have some fun things I want to tell you about. Let’s start with my visit to the slime kitchen last week. On Friday after work my mom and I went to get massages at the mall. We were both in need of some stress relief. In addition tp the massages I really wanted to check out a new place in the mall called the Slime Kitchen. Before this I hadn’t had a lot of experience with slime. I love playdough and I had played with things that were similar to slime a while ago but I have not used slime since it has become very popular in recent years. I heard about the Slime Kitchen on the mall’s Instagram page. It looked fun and interesting. After getting massages and going to Claire’s It was time to go to the slime kitchen. I wasn’t sure how it all worked but the staff was very helpful. I ended up choosing cloud slime and I made it lavender scented! I loved how you got to add two little toys into your slime I chose an ice cream cone and a lollipop! I did enjoy making slime. However, it was $25.00 so I probably won’t do it again but it was worth doing once. The next day I went to Savers to do some thrift shopping! It was more crowded then I expected it to be even for a Saturday. However, I was still able to get some pretty awesome items. Some of my favorite things I got that day are a Barbie collector book,a Barbie horse, some American Girl books, and a chalk book that comes with chalk. I also got another book that is summer themed maybe I can read it before summer ends.

On Thursday I went to my favorite local Goodwill location. I was so happy when I saw this Barbie ornament from the 90s. It was still in the original box. Another item I found that got me excited was a color your own squishy toys art kit! I had a kit from this same brand before but this kit had different squishy toys in it. Other highlights include a mug from 1986, and a dog purse! Yesterday day after work I started off my weekend by going to Savers. When I got there I headed right to the toy section. I was happy to see that there were a good amount of dolls to chose from. I ended up getting three Barbie dolls. My favorite doll I got is pearl beach barbie. she still had her super cute earrings on and her blue bathing suit too! I also got a lot of Barbie movies. It looked like a whole collection of Barbie movies had been donated. I kept finding ones that I wanted to add to my collection. Some of the other things I got were two American Girl books, a bag of Disney Parks buttons ,a flip fllop pin, and new ear buds! Thank you for reading about my thrift shopping adventures!

Thrifting on a Tuesday

Hello,my bucket list friends! It’s no secret that I love to go thrift shopping. I usually go on the weekends because I don’t work however, that’s when most people like to go as well. I decided to go thrift shopping on a week day. Last Tuesday my mom and I went to Savers. Tuesday is senior discount day so it was still crowded but my mom qualified for the discount so that was good. I got a good amount of items like I almost always do when I go to Savers. The items I got on this trip include, a bunch of Discovery Girls magazines, a Barbie book, a My Little Pony play-doh set, a Lion King Keychain, and a Barbie doll. There was not a large selection of dolls I hope there are more the next time I go to Savers. I also got a robot bank art kit. I’m excited to paint  it. Oh I also got a Keychain from Disney’s paradise pier hotel. I stayed in that hotel a long time ago and I was so excited when I saw the Keychain. Thanks for reading about my thrift shopping fun.

Massage,mall, and Savers!

Hello, my bucket list friends! On Saturday I did a lot of my favorite things! It started with going to the mall. I love getting massages at the mall because you don’t need an appointment. I had a lot of tight mussels that needed to be worked out. I’m so glad I got a massage I really needed it. While at the mall I went shopping to two of my favorite stores. First I went to Claire’s where I got new hair bows ,hair Scrunchies, and jewelry. I also went to Daiso where I got some super cute stickers ,socks , buttons, a Disney wash cloth and more! I went to Jamba Juice before I left the mall. However, my shopping fun was not over yet. I also went to Savers. I didn’t find a lot of items on this Savers trip but I did get some cool American girl items. I got a Kirsten bookend, an American Girl bag and a American Girl craft kit. I also got a Disneyland mug, a bag of two beanie babies and a necklace. It was a pretty good shopping day but I hope Savers has some more dolls when I go there next. I was so surprised to see that there were only a few dolls in the doll section and none were Barbies! However I’m very happy with the items I did find . Thanks for reading!

Veterans day parade and a trip to Savers

Hello, my bucket list friends! Yesterday was veterans day. My mom and I both had the day off work. We decided to go to a veterans day parade. We bought flags and had a fun time waving them at the parade! There was music, dogs, and a lot of cool cars to name a few things. The parade was a lot longer then I thought it would be. The fun just kept on coming! I really loved the marching bands. After the parade we went to Savers. I had a coupon for 30% off certain items. We spent a good amount of time in Savers the more time we spent there the more items I found. Some of my favorite items I got yesterday are a plush unicorn backpack, a Ken doll, Disney Christmas items, two Barbie dolls and a Christmas necklace. It was a great to have a day off but it was weird to have a Thursday off then have to come back to work today. At least today is Friday and I have two days off to look forward to.

Goodwill, Savers and an amazing find!

Hello, my bucket list friends! I’m excited to tell you about my latest thrift shopping adventures. Including one item that I’m very happy that I found. On Thursday I went on a quick trip to Goodwill. I I got some great items including a Melissa and Dad craft kit, a Barbie book that still had the stickers in it, and a set of Disney markers that came from the theme parks. I’m excited to use the Melissa and Doug craft kit that I got. I love the wooden heart-shaped beads. On Friday after work I went to Savers. When I walked over to the toy section I saw a large horse toy on the shelf. I wonder if it could be an American girl horse toy because it seemed large enough. I went over and looked at it and sure enough the tag on the leg said American girl. I was so excited! I love finding American Girl products but I was super excited to find this one. I think I’m going to do a photo shoot with my dolls and the horse. My other savers finds include some ’90s Beanie Babies, some Barbie dolls including one with a really awesome hair, a spin art kit, a set of Lisa Frank erasers, and a Christmas plate from the ’70s. I had a lot of fun at Savers and I spent more time there than I thought I did. I wonder what my next big thrift find will be.

First Savers haul of 2021

Hello, my bucket list friends ! On Saturday after work, I decided to go to Savers to see what treasures I could find. My favorite thing to get at Savers is books. Their books are priced really well and they always seem to have a lot of them. When my mom and I got to the store there was a line outside but when we made it in we headed right for the book section. I found nine books this time plus two Barbie dolls and a big bag of beads. My mom also got some books. My favorite thing that I got is a Bennie Baby collector’s book from the 90’s. Overall it was a good thrift shopping trip.
