Hello, my bucket friends! I’m super excited to write about my favorite time of the year! I started off the month of June on a high note. On the first day of June I got something really fun at a Safeway and the next day was the start of my Ohio vacation! I’m super excited to tell you all about it so let’s get to it !
June 1st, 2026 – On this day I started off the month by finding something really cool at Safeway. While at Safeway I got a Squishmallow activity book. That is full of cute pages. It was a good way to start the month.
June 2nd – On the 2nd day of the month I started my vacation to Ohio! It was a long day of travel but my mom and I made it to Ohio safely.
June 3rd – On this day I went to the Columbus zoo. I got to see many different animals here including flamingos, penguins, a koala, different kinds of birds, elepants, a polar bear ,and more! I also enjoyed riding a carousel while I was here. I love getting to ride carousels and I’m so glad I got to ride one on this day. I enjoyed exploring this zoo. I took a lot of great pictures here. I love the picture I took of the koala and I love the picture that my mom took of me by the flamingos. I got a fun souvenir cup and I had a good time buying more souvenirs in the gift shop. One of my favorite things that I got was a hat. Our next adventure was at the franklin park conservatory and botanical gardens. The butterfly exhibit was my favorite. It was so much fun to walk around and look at the butterflies. Other highlights here were getting to do a butterfly coloring activity, eating lunch and exploring the outdoor areas. There was a gift shop here too where I got a butterfly magnet and a sticker. This was a fun place to enjoy and experience. I highly recommend both of these attractions. Later that day we did some shopping my favorite thing I got was rubber duck.
June 4th – This was our second full day of our Ohio trip. We got Starbucks and then we went to Campbell Hill which is the highest point in Ohio . This was a fun stop and we were the only ones visiting it when we were there so it was really easy to take photos with the sign. After that we visited the oldest concrete street in America. After making those stops we went to the Ohio caverns! I loved both of the two tours that we took. The caverns were both beautiful and interesting. The guides provided lots of interesting information. I love the pictures that I took inside and outside of the caverns. I love the Ohio Caverns sign that I took pictures with. Walking through the caverns made me feel like an explorer even though I was just on a tour. I loved hearing the stories about the early days of the caverns being used as an attraction. There was also a really good gift shop here that had good prices. I got a shirt , a plush bat and other items here. This was one of my favorite things that we did on the whole trip. We still had a lot of other adventures left on this day. Our next adventure having lunch at the Golden Lamb which is the oldest restaurant in Ohio. The food was really good. I’m glad we stopped here. Our next adventure was going to Jungle Jim’s. This is coolest grocery store that I’ve ever been to in my life. There is way more than food here. I got a plush giraffe here and an Ohio shaped ice cube tray. There is so much to see at this store there are so many fun displays all around this huge store. We even got ice cream at the ice cream shop that was inside of the store. We still had one last adventure. We went to Buc-ee’s ! I love going to Buc-ees when I can. I bought a bunch of cool stuff including a bunch of Ohio souvenirs. I love the coloring book that I got here. This was a wonderfully busy and fun day of vacation. I also went swimming on this day.
