The missing money mystery

Hello, my bucket list friends!  I’ve been into mysteries a lot lately. I just finished reading an American Girl mystery book and then I started another one. Also I have been watching a lot of Murder She Wrote reruns. Yesterday I ended up staring in my own mystery and I thought it would be fun to share it with all of you so here we go!

The missing money mystery

My mystery first started when I picked up my mobile order at Starbucks. When I was walking back to the car with my coffee in my hand I notice that the money that I knew I had in my pocket was not there. In a panic I looked everywhere ! In all my pockets ,in the car and in my purse. when I couldn’t find it  I called my dad and asked him to look around the house . He couldn’t find it either . I even went back to the store that I had been in before  Starbucks and it wasn’t there either. In all of my story telling I haven’t  mentioned that it was $60.00 that I was missing. I’m mean it’s not like a million dollars but it’s still upsetting to loose. On the way home I still had some hope that it may be outside around the house somewhere . When I got out of that car I started looking right away and guess what? Right on the road in front of the driveway was my money! I was so happy that I had found it ! The money had fallen out of my back pocket and on the the road when I was going to the car. Mystery solved ! The big lesson in all of this is don’t put money in your back pocket ! This mystery had a happy ending but I hope from now on the Mysteries stay on TV and in books.

The ever changing ride of life

The ever changing ride of life

Hello, my bucket list friends ! I consider myself to be a very honest person and the truth is my life has not been easy street lately . I was working less during the summer due to traveling and the preschool where I work being out for the summer after the summer camps ended and that made money really tight . Our fridge broke and of course there was that ER visit on my birthday. ( you can read about it here ) It’s been rough but that is just how life can be sometimes but we all know that doesn’t make it suck any less . I found myself wanting to sleep all the time but I’m happy to say  that things have been looking up a little bit lately .  I’m back working at the preschool so my money situation is slowly but surly getting back on track . I have also been interviewing for massage jobs and I have a good feeling  that I might be working as a massage therapist soon ! I was able to have some fun this weekend. I went shopping at a local party store where I loved going as a kid . I bought some fun stuff that I really didn’t need but it gave me a boost of much needed happiness and I got spend some time with my cousin on Sunday . Also the pain from my cyst has decreased to almost nothing ! Of course I’m still going to have to deal with the medical bills . Now, all that being said My life is not all sunshine and cupcakes but really who’s life is ? I wish I could spend all my time going around crossing things off my bucket list but that is not the reality I live in . My biggest take away from this struggle is if you need to sleep more do it ! It doesn’t mean you’re week you may just some more time to recharge and escape from the stress . Of course it is import to make sure that sleeping more than normal does not interfere with your daily life .  Not everything is back on track right now but it starting to get that way but I can’t be sure  what is going to happen next so I could use all the prayer I can get right now but I’m so thankful to God for all the blessings in my life and I can’t wait to see what I cross of my list next !

The debt I don’t regret

Hello, my bucket list friends ! As some of you know I’ve been om quite a few adventures during the past few years and I’ve crossed off a bunch of list items . It is no secret that traveling , amusement park tickets and attending events such as WrestleMania does not come cheap . Like many I turned to credit cards to help me cover the cost of having fun and day-to-day life as well . Here I am and 27 years old with a lot of debt including student loans . Some people would think that I regret  all that spending and travel but the truth is I really don’t  and I’m about to tell you why .

Why I don’t regret my debt

Before I get into why I don’t regret getting in to all the debt I’m in ,let me say this . I’m not encouraging anyone to spend the way I did . I’m also not saying that getting multiple credit card and spending money you don’t have is the best idea in the world but I’m saying that for me it was well worth it.

The main reason of why all my debt is worth it to me is because I have gotten to travel and do many fun and exciting things in the past five years or so then I  have ever done before . That is including but not limited to going to Disney World,  going to Disneyland at Christmas time , Going to Arizona for a weekend going to New York , going to San Diego ,going to WrestleMania and there is no way I can for get all the amazing concerts I’ve gone to . I’ve made memories that will last a life time !  I have seen and done so many fun things . I smile when I think about all the adventures that I have had  and  just thinking about all those good times is a great way to relive stress .I have also built up some fun collections like my snow globe and my My Little Pony collection . I made the choice that I didn’t want to wait untill I was retired to start  traveling and living life to the fullest and I’m glad that I didn’t wait . Now don’t get me wrong all the bills are stressful but the stress I feel now is worth all the fun I had then . I’m still going to be doing some fun things including traveling but I am going to be slowing down a lot with the spending . I have already started building up my saving account and as soon as I pass the Mblex I will be able to work as a massage therapist. After that I will be paying more money towards my credit cards . I know that now is the time to slow down , because let’s face it  I’m getting toward the end of my 20’s and I’ve always wanted to own my own house 🙂

New year’s goals 2018

Hello, my bucket list friends and happy new year! I hope you all had a wonderful start to 2018. The start of a new year is a good time to set goals for yourself. Last year My goal was to get out of my comfort zone. (you can read abut it here) for most of the months of 2017 I set comfort zone busters for myself. I had a fun working on new goals but toward the end of the year I got very busy and I stopped setting the monthly goals, but overall my 2017 new years goal was a success. I did many things to get myself of my comfort zone including talking to new people on dating apps, breaking everyday routine and writing more personal blog posts. I really enjoyed doing the comfort zone busters each month but for this year I have list of things I would like to accomplish and here it is.

My goals for 2018

  1. Cook more at home instead of eating out

Eating out is fun and the food is good, but it can be expensive and even unhealthy, so this year I’m going to be focusing on cooking my food at home and trying new recipes. I’ve all ready made roasted garlic this year and I’m excited to see what else I’ll make.

  1. Pay off at least one of my credit cards and get the other balances as small as possible

Like a lot of people, I have a pretty large amount of credit card debt. I know that having all that debt is holding me back and I’m going to be making steps to get rid of as much of my debt as possible.

  1. Have at least $1000 dollars in my savings account by the end of the year

In addition to having debt I don’t have hardly any money in my savings account I know that is also something that I need to change.

  1. Pass the MBLEX and start working as a massage therapist

I love doing massage and helping other people, but I need to pass the MBLEX in order to do that. So, one of my goals for this year is to start working as a massage therapist so I can continue to help others .

  1. Cross 10 more things off my bucket list

I was able to cross 8 things of my list last year and that’s pretty good but since I’m not in school this year I should have more time for list items. I’m excited to see what list items I cross off this year.

  1. Improve my credit score

As you can tell from looking at this list, personal finance is something I’m really looking to work on this year. While I don’t have a bad credit score it could be better, and I really want to work on that this year.

  1. Get back in to doing races

I really enjoy doing 5ks and I want to do a 10k It’s been a while since I have done a race and I really would like to back into doing races this year.

I hope all you have a beautiful and successful 2018
