A new game and expressing myself

Hello,my bucket list friends! I know the title of this post is a little weird but I couldn’t think of a good name for it. I recently started playing a game called project makeover. I had seen lots of adds for it. It looked interesting so I decided to download it. I just have to say that I LOVE playing it! If you like match three style games like Candy Crush I highly recommend checking out this game. I’ve been off from work this week because I was feeling under the weather. Unfortunately it has not gotten better and I don’t know if I’ll be well enough to celebrate Thanksgiving with family like I planned on . Anyways I’m making the most of my sick days. Today I was really proud of the outfit I put together! It’s crazy in the best way possible. I’ve also been getting Starbucks, eating tomato soup and selling things on Poshmark. I’ve made quite a few sales on there and I hope I make more as we get closer to Christmas. Thanks for reading!

Weekend highlights

Hello,my bucket list friends! This weekend was pretty great so I thought it would be fun to share it with all of you. I hope all of you had a great weekend as well!

Going to Target – Friday after work I went to Target. I got a lot of fun things including a small Barbie color reveal doll,a Barbie doll that came with a bathtub, shoe liners to wear with my Crocs, a My Little pony coloring book, bath bombs and two art kits.

Bath bombs – I used two bath bombs this weekend. One on Friday night and one on Sunday. The one I used Friday night was one of the ones that had gotten a Target that day. It was a little mermaid themed bath bomb and came with a cute pendent inside it. The bath bomb I used on Sunday was also from Target but I got it on a different shopping trip. It’s was an ice cream cone shaped bath bomb and it had a cute squishy toy hidden inside. This bath bomb was very similar to another bath bomb that I had gotten at Target before except for it was in the shape of a gummy bear.

Art ! – I did one of the art kits that I got at Target. It was make your own necklace kit where you painted a large butterfly. It came with three colors and it was very simple. I enjoyed this fun and quick project.

Succulents – I finally got around to planning the succulents that I already had. I put all three of them in one pot and I like the way they look. I hope this becomes a new hobby for me.

Celebrating mother’s Day – Sunday was mother’s Day and we went up to Napa to celebrate. We had a good lunch at a cute restaurant that had porch swings outside.

Walks – I was able to go on a couple walks this weekend. It’s amazing how something so simple can be so relaxing and enjoyable and healthy.

Thanks for reading

More bath bomb fun !

Hello, my bucket list friends! I don’t know if using bath bombs is considered a hobby or not but if it is it’s definitely my new hobby! On a trip to Target I got this really cool sparkly bath bomb shaped like a bear. It was also one of the bath bombs that came with a surprise inside. This is the first bath bomb that I’ve used that is coved in glitter. When I first held it the glitter came off very easily. I was curious to see if this bath bomb would leave me covered in glitter or not. When I first touched the bath bomb it did leave a lot of glitter behind. However after I put it in the water the glitter seemed to loose it’s stickiness. I did take a shower after my bath so that could have washed it off but anyways the glitter didn’t seem to be much of a problem. The prize inside was a squishy heart toy. I’ve also been using a lot of bath bombs from two sisters spa. I just keep ordering these super fun bath bombs I love getting the ones that have prizes inside. I also like that they make bubbles as well.

Self timer photoshoot challenge !

Hello, my bucket list friends! I love watching fun youtube videos and not too long ago one of my favorite video creators did a video where they took self timer photos. ( You can watch it HERE) I really liked the idea of taking self timer photos so I decided to try it out for myself. I can’t wait to show you the fun photos I took so let’s get to it!

Self timer photoshoot challenge !

For my first self timer photo shoot I decided to cover my bed with stuffed animals! I loved the way I set everything up but doing this photoshoot was harder then I thought it would be. I thought I had a tripod that would work with my phone but it turns out I didn’t so I put my phone on a stack of books. I had fun coming up with different poses but I did get tired of having to reset the timer. Even with those challenges I’m happy with the way the photos turned out. Here are three of my favorites!

For my next photoshoot I decided to head outside to my deck. The weather was perfect for photos and I had a fun time choosing different spots on my deck to take photos from. Here are three of my favorite outdoor photos!

For my last photoshoot I decided to take photos in the car. I had my neighbor’s dog with me that day so I included him in the photos . It was hard to get him to look at the camera but he is cute no matter what direction he is looking in ! Here are three of my favorites!

There you have it my self timer photoshoot challenge! Overall this was fun to do and definitely worth trying!

My 30th birthday

Hello, my bucket list friends! On Wednesday I turned 30 and I had a really great day celebrating! I can’t wait to tell you all about it so let’s jump on in !

The first thing I want to say is thank you everyone who wished me a happy birthday! I felt so loved on my birthday. I’m so blessed to have many wonderful people in my life. My plan for my birthday was to go to the Dollar Tree and buy 30 things for my 30th birthday then go to savers to get some books from their very impressive book section. Before going out to dinner that evening. Things at the Dollar Tree started off pretty well but I kept losing count of how many items I had. I ended up with more then 30 items but I had fun and that’s what matters! Then it was time for Savers. The first thing I noticed when I walked into Savers is that the book section had moved. Luckily it was just as big as it used to be. We spent a good amount of time looking through the books and my mom and I found some good books. I got a few other things at savers but mainly books. We made a stop for coffee before heading home. After spending a little time at home it was time to go out to dinner. We met Amy there.  I was so happy to see her!  Also dinner was amazing! I had a really wonderful birthday. I hope the first year of my 30s is wonderful too.

pottery and popcorn

Hello, my bucket list friends ! Summer has been both busy and fun this year and there is so much more to come! Before I get too far behind on my blog posts I wanted to tell you about what I did on Thursday.  I went out to run some errands with my dad and while we were in the car I got a phone call I had been waiting for. Back in March my mom and I went to my favorite paint your own pottery place. ( You can read about it HERE ) The day we went was also the day they closed but they let us stay to finish painting. Recently they reopened and Thursday was the day that our art was ready to pick up! I was so excited to finally bring my art pieces home! After I picked up our art my dad and I went to Trader Joe’s where I got one of my favorite snacks pickle flavored popcorn! I only see it at Trader Joe’s during the summer. If you like pickles I highly recommend it! I’m just gonna end this post by saying yay for art and popcorn !

The missing money mystery

Hello, my bucket list friends!  I’ve been into mysteries a lot lately. I just finished reading an American Girl mystery book and then I started another one. Also I have been watching a lot of Murder She Wrote reruns. Yesterday I ended up staring in my own mystery and I thought it would be fun to share it with all of you so here we go!

The missing money mystery

My mystery first started when I picked up my mobile order at Starbucks. When I was walking back to the car with my coffee in my hand I notice that the money that I knew I had in my pocket was not there. In a panic I looked everywhere ! In all my pockets ,in the car and in my purse. when I couldn’t find it  I called my dad and asked him to look around the house . He couldn’t find it either . I even went back to the store that I had been in before  Starbucks and it wasn’t there either. In all of my story telling I haven’t  mentioned that it was $60.00 that I was missing. I’m mean it’s not like a million dollars but it’s still upsetting to loose. On the way home I still had some hope that it may be outside around the house somewhere . When I got out of that car I started looking right away and guess what? Right on the road in front of the driveway was my money! I was so happy that I had found it ! The money had fallen out of my back pocket and on the the road when I was going to the car. Mystery solved ! The big lesson in all of this is don’t put money in your back pocket ! This mystery had a happy ending but I hope from now on the Mysteries stay on TV and in books.

Books and mini golf

Hello, my bucket list friends ! I hope you are all enjoying the summertime. On Saturday I got to do two fun activities and I can’t wait to tell you more about it so here we go!

Books and mini golf

Saturday’s first fun activity was going shopping at my favorite used book store. I got two American girl books to add to my collection. After the book store I went to Starbucks. I had a good time at the book store and going to get coffee and that evening  I had scheduled a fun family activity. I had reserved a time slot for my parents and I at a mini golf course. I had been to this mini golf course before and I knew it was a lot of fun. I was happy that we played on my favorite side of the course. Now, I’m not very good at golf but I have a fun time playing it. We started out keeping score but after a bit we stopped keeping score and just played for fun. We all had a really good time and I hope we can go play the other side of the course soon.
