Celebrating this week’s little moments

Hello, my bucket list, friends! I have been told that some people appreciate the way I highlight the little everyday moments in life. I often highlight little moments in my weekend blog posts. However, I have had some fun moments this week that I want to highlight. Without any more introduction, let’s get to it!

Monday- I worked the closing shift on this day. I got coffee before work at a local coffee shop that is close to my work. I enjoyed my coffee, and work went well. After work, I went to Whole Foods. I got some soup because it has definitely been soup weather lately. I also got some boxes of Annie’s macaroni and cheese. I like how the boxes have projects on the back of the box that you can make. Another thing I was excited about getting was the fruit snacks that have trading cards in them. I love how the current series of cards has animals on them. Oh, and I got cinnamon mints, too! It was a good way to start the weekdays.

Tuesday – I had the day off. I stayed home most of the day, but I did go out in the evening. I went to Walgreens, and I got two fun items. One is a bunny shaped pop toy that came with gumballs. The other is a doughnut Pez dispenser. I just love how cute this Pez dispenser is! I wonder what Pez dispenser I will get next.

Wednesday – I was scheduled to work the morning shift this day. However, after I had coffee at the same coffee shop I went to on Monday, I discovered that the power was out at work. Unfortunately, it would not be coming back on soon, and I didn’t want to pay to take another Uber. I decided to stay in town until my mom could pick me up. Frist, I walked to my favorite local thrift shop, but their power was also out. Since I had a lot of time, I walked to the other thrift shop in town. This shop often does not have items that I’m interested in, so I didn’t expect to find anything. However, I’m happy to say that I found a Mickey Mouse hat from Disneyland! Due to the logo on the inside of the hat, I believe that it is from the 2000s. After buying the hat, I walked to the candy store. I ened buying a lollipop that is attached to a plastic bunny mouth, so when you eat the lollipop, it makes you look like a bunny! After that, I just stayed in a park and entertained myself with my phone while I waited for my mom to pick me up. It did start raining at one point, but it was easy to find a place that was covered.

Thanks for reading! I hope you have a lot of great moments this week!

Taking walks, taking pictures, making a mess, and drinking coffee

Hello, my bucket list, friends! January seemed to go by pretty fast, but here we are in February, and it seems to be dragging slowly by at times. It’s probably partly due to the cold. I’m a summer girl. I’m not a huge fan of the cold and having to bundle up. Don’t get me wrong. This is an important season, but I would rather have sunshine and flipflops. I’m looking forward to the summer, and I hope time starts to pick up a bit and then slows down again when the summertime gets here. I have big plans for the summer so I have to stop my spending for a while to save up and that is already frustrating me. Anyways I should probably stop ranting and get on with the post. I started this post so I could write about what I did yesterday. I had the day off yesterday, and I stayed home for most of the day. I posted an article on Vocal Media. ( You can read it HERE ) I was also watching my neighbor’s dog, so we went on a walk. On our walk, I took a bunch of photos, including one of a deer. It is not a very good picture because the deer was kind of faraway, but I’m happy I got to see it. Walks are good for my health, so I was kind of glad that the dog made me get out and walk. Later on in the day, I got a craft kit from my room and brought it up to the table. It was a craft kit where you put colorful gems on plastic figures. I ended up getting frustrated with how hard it was to put the gemstones on that I just ended up dumping the gems on the plastic figure that I had chosen. It made a big mess, but I’m ok with how the project turned out, but I won’t be buying any more kits like this in the future. The highlight of yesterday was going to Starbucks. After Starbucks, I went on another walk. It was an okay day overall, and I’m glad I learned more about what kinds of craft kits not to buy!

Just another great weekend in California

Hello, my bucket list friends! In my last post I talked about what I did during my weekdays now it is time to talk about what I did during my weekend. Sometimes I include Friday in these posts but since I already covered Friday in the post I just mentioned ( You can read it HERE) I will only be talking about Saturday and Sunday in this post. Without anymore introduction it is time to get to it!

Saturday – Looking through my pictures of what I did this day I remember that I tried a candy that I got at Whole Foods the day before. I’m going to do a separate post reviewing this item but I will say that it was really good. I’m happy to say that on this day I went to Starbucks and then went for a walk in the park with my coffee, my mom and the neighbor’s dog. It was a very beautiful day and I was  happily surprised to see that the park was not busy. I climbed to the top of the playground and then went down the slide. I posted the video of me going down the slide on my Instagram my user name is summerrockstar if you want to see it. After the park I went to CVS. I love that CVS sells Claire’s products. I got a set of three Claire’s bracelets plus a bunch of other great items including a TY plush toy, a magazine about animals, hair bows, and peppermint candy. After my little shopping spree I waited in the car with the dog while my mom bought birdseed at another store in the shoppingcenter. While I was in the car I posted on BE Real. I took a picture of my new TY plush sitting on the dashboard. I was very happy with my Be Real post for the day. After that it was time to head back home. After relaxing at the house for a while, we went to go visit a family member. On the way there we stopped at a store where I got this super cute gingerbread cookie. It was a pretty great day!

Sunday – This day was pretty relaxed overall however I did do a cute mouse suncatcher craft kit and we also went into town to do some errands. I happy to say that yes these errands included Starbucks. When I went to pick up the drinks that I had ordered at Starbucks, I saw that they had accidently made one of the drinks  I had ordered iced instead of hot. Not only were they super cool about remaking it they let me keep the iced one too.  I’m actually drinking that iced one right now as I write this! Our other errands were Petco, Trader Joes and Safeway. At Trader Joes I got a snack that I had never seen before. I can’t wait to try it and do a review on it and at Safeway I got a cupcake that had three butterfly rings on top! It was a pretty easy going day but I enjoyed it.

Thank you for reading! I hope all of you had great weekends!

Savers, Dollar Tree,my amazing friend and more!

Hello, my bucket list friends! It’s a time for another what I did this weekend blog post. I did a few fun things this weekend that I’m excited to tell you about. So let’s get to it.

Friday –  After work I went to Savers.  I had a coupon that got me 30% off toys and other items. As always I  was excited to see what I could find. The first thing I added to my cart was a My Little Pony Lite Brite  toy. There were a few Barbie dolls available not a lot but more then I have been seeing. I got two of them. In the plush animal area I got a plush horse from Build a Bear Workshop. Some other things I got were American Girl books, TY Beanie Babies collector guides, an earing set and some wooden Christmas shapes that you can paint or color. I was very happy to have the coupon with me since I got a good amount of items.

Saturday- One thing about the weekends that can be difficult is that you have to try and fit a lot of things into a pretty short amount of time. That’s how Saturday was. However, it did end up being a very good day. I went to Starbucks then my mom and I took the neighbor’s dog for a walk in the park. After that we came home and not long after that I left with my dad to go help with making food for homeless people. It goes without saying but I think it needs to be said. It feels good to help others. Since the shelter we were volunteering at was close to where my amazing friend lives. I went to met her when we were done. We met her at one of my favorite places the Dollar Tree. It was so great to see her! It had been a while since we got to hang out.  I had so much fun shopping and talking to her. At the Dollar Tree I found so many amazing things. Including some My Little Pony blind bag bracelets and toys. As well as some other blind bag toys including some that come in little tea cups. Some other items that I got were a bath bomb with a prize inside, candy, play-doh, and a hair bow. After having a wonderful time shopping with my friend, my dad and I went to Taco Bell. I love Taco Bell it is one of the best fast food places for vegetarians. Going there was a great way to wrap up the day.

Sunday – Sunday was a little different because it did something that it does not do a lot where I live especially lately. It rained! It had been a long time since I’d seen a rainy day. We had some errands to run that day and it was good to get out of the house. I’m happy to say that one of thoes errands included going to Starbucks. We also went grocery shopping and to Walgreens. At Walgreens I got a bath bomb and a clay art kit. It was an overall relaxing day.

It’s safe to say that I had a pretty good weekend! Thanks for reading.
