Colorado adventure June 2022 part 3

Hello, my bucket list friends!! It’s time for another post about my fun filled vacation to Colorado! In this post we continue our adventures outside of Denver. We explore some caves and ride a train plus a lot more. Let’s get to it.

Colorado day five – on the 5th day of our Colorado vacation we went on a drive to a very fun and interesting place called Glenwood Caverns adventure park! Our main reason for going here was to take a tour of the caves. There are two different caves you can tour here and they are both truly amazing. These caves are so beautiful and interesting. I really enjoyed looking at the caves. If you are ever near this place it is definitely worth checking out. There are also some rides here but we didn’t go on them. The way up to this amusement park is also a lot of fun because you take a gondola to the top of the mountain. I also went to the gift shop here. When we were ready to leave we had a little trouble because of winds we couldn’t take the gondola back down. So we had to wait a little bit. While waiting I got some ice cream. After a little bit of a wait it was time to ride the gondola back down the mountain and drive to out next adventure. We stopped at Starbucks on the way to see something really fun. The next thing I’m gonna tell you about became one of my favorite things I did in Colorado. My mom and I went to visit Isak Heartstone. Isak is a very large and very cute troll sculpture made from wood. Isak lives at the end of his own trail in Breckenridge Colorado. I had so much fun going to see this impressive sculpture. I just love the pictures I took there. This sculpture is so cute and impressive. I highly recommend going to see Isak Heartstone if you are ever in Breckenridge.

Colorado day six – this was our last full day in Colorado. Our adventure for this day was to ride the Cog railway up to Pikes Peak. Pikes Peak is a very well known attraction in Colorado you can drive or even hike there but for us the train seemed like the best option. It takes over an hour for the tain the get to Pikes Peak but it is worth it. There are some beautiful views from the train on the way up. There is a gift shop at the train station but I used the pressed penny machine at the station to make souvenires. Once we got up to Pikes Peak there was a good amount of snow up there. The views here are pretty amazing. However be prepared because there is a chance of altitude sickness when visiting Pikes Peak. There are some displays inside here as well as a gift shop where I got some postcards that you can color. I’m glad we went to vist Pikes Peak I got some wonderful pictures here. It was a great way to spend the last full day of vacation.

Yesterday’s Goodwill trip

Hello,my bucket list friends! As you can tell from this post’s title I went shopping at the Goodwill yesterday. It’s no secret that I love thrift shopping and I get pretty excited whenever I go so without further delay let’s dive into yesterday’s shopping trip.

Yesterday’s Goodwill trip

I’m going to start this off by saying that I got an unopened Melissa and Doug craft kit! It was my favorite find of the trip but it was not the only Melissa and Doug item that I bought yesterday ,I also got a Melissa and Doug bead kit. As far as arts and crafts go in addition to my Melissa and Doug finds I got a Crayola craft kit as well. One of my main reasons for this shopping trip was to find a book for next month’s book club. I got a few books and I’m still deciding which book I want to read for my book club. Thrift stores are great places to find books because they usually have pretty low prices. I also got some new jeans and a shirt. It was a very successful thrift shopping trip.

Mystery spot and the boardwalk

Hello,my bucket list friends! Summer is the perfect time of year for local adventures especially if you live in California. Yesterday I went on two local adventures including one place that I’ve never been before. It was a fun day and I can’t wait to tell you more so let’s get to it !

Mystery spot and the boardwalk

The first fun place I went to yesterday was the mystery spot in Santa Cruz. I have wanted to go there for a while. I would always see cars with Mystery spot bumper stickers and I was curious to see what what it was all about. Well it turns out that the Mystery Spot is famous for being a gravitational anomaly . The Mystery spot opened in 1940 and from what I can tell it is still going strong. The was one part of the tour that made me dizzy but I got some great pictures so it was worth it to me. At the end of the tour we all got the famous Mystery Spot bumper stickers! After that adventure my mom and I headed to a place that we had been to before the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. There wasn’t much open at the boardwalk yet but we were able to get ice cream and take a little walk on the beach. It was a fun little day trip and I hope the boardwalk opens it’s rides soon!

Books and mini golf

Hello, my bucket list friends ! I hope you are all enjoying the summertime. On Saturday I got to do two fun activities and I can’t wait to tell you more about it so here we go!

Books and mini golf

Saturday’s first fun activity was going shopping at my favorite used book store. I got two American girl books to add to my collection. After the book store I went to Starbucks. I had a good time at the book store and going to get coffee and that evening  I had scheduled a fun family activity. I had reserved a time slot for my parents and I at a mini golf course. I had been to this mini golf course before and I knew it was a lot of fun. I was happy that we played on my favorite side of the course. Now, I’m not very good at golf but I have a fun time playing it. We started out keeping score but after a bit we stopped keeping score and just played for fun. We all had a really good time and I hope we can go play the other side of the course soon.

Monterrey day trip June 2019

Hello, my bucket list friends! On June 28th my mom and I took a fun day trip to Monterrey. We did some fun activities and I’m excited to tell you all about it . Here we go!

Monterrey day trip June 2019

To start our day of fun we made a quick stop at a beach that my mom wanted to check out. Then for our next activity we went on the famous 17 mile drive. When you pay for the drive you get information on all the stops. Since we had a limited amount of time before we had to be at our next activity we didn’t stop at every location. My favorite stops were Spanish bay beach, bird rock, and Seal Rock. We had a great time walking around the beaches and sight seeing. After completing the stops we wanted to make,we went to Carmel for lunch and shopping. I got an awesome new snow globe for my collection. After all of that we headed back to Monterrey to check out Selfievill. Selfievill is a fairly new attraction that is held in an old theater. The experience begins with a fun light show. We missed the first part of the light show because we got a little lost on the way there but we were able to enjoy a good portion of the show. The light show was very cute and had awesome animation. After that it was on to Selfievill ! We went though all the great rooms that Selfievill had to offer. The rooms reminded me of photo sets. It was easy to feel like a model at times. I loved sitting on the big unicorn, posing by a giant lollipop and getting to sit on a bench that looked like a big cloud. My mom and I went though the rooms pretty quickly but it was a lot of fun! If you have ever wanted to be a model for a day I highly recommend selfievill! When we were done in Selfievill we headed for home. It was the perfect summer day trip.
