The rest of my August 2025 adventures including my 35th birthday

Hello, my bucket list friends! I’m so excited to finally wrap up my main posts about August 2025. Of course I will do a things I love post after this . One of my goals is to finish writing about last summer before we get to summer 2026 and it looks like that’s going to happen! Probably the biggest highlight of this post is my 35th birthday. I’ll write more about it below but I was so scared to turn 35 and now I’m scared to turn 36. The truth is, as you get older time does not slow down. As a matter of fact it feels like it speeds up. Sometimes I look back and I wonder where the time went. I was 24 years old when I started this blog. And that seems like such a long time ago now. I’ve gone on so many bucket list adventures since then. I would probably have a hard time believing myself if I traveled back in time and told my 24-year-old self that some of her big bucket list dreams like meeting Alice Cooper , going to the mall of America, and going to Disney World would all come true but that the big life events that seem to just happen to most people would not happen so easily for her.  I know this introduction has been much longer than normal, but sometimes I just have a lot of thoughts swirling around in my and it helps to write them down. Also, sometimes I feel like my blog is not as personal as it used to be so it’s good for me to be open and honest. Even if it makes for a very long introduction. With all that being said, I think it’s finally time to write about the last of the adventures I had in August of 2025.

August 17th – On this day I went to Safeway and I got something really cool. That really cool thing was a sticker book. Stickers have this way of bringing me joy. I love the pictures I took on this day of me holding the sticker book outside in the sunshine.

August 18 – on this day I took some very cute pictures of my cat Cooper. The look on his face is pretty priceless. His beautiful blue eyes just look gorgeous.  I also went to work at Walgreens where I worked at the time. While I was there I bought some fun wind-up toys. It was a simple but good summer day. Oh yeah and I also got coffee on this day.

August 19th – this was another day of working at Walgreens. But I did get a planner and a calendar that came with stickers on clearance. I love finding items on clearance!

August 20 – I did one of my favorite things on this day. I went shopping at Target. On this Target trip I got some fun items including a Barbie Play-Doh accessory set, A Bookmark art kit, a pack of markers, and a Crayola activity set that included stickers. I also got coffee and went to work on this day.

August 22nd – This was a work day however while I was at work bought some stickers. ( yay for stickers!) I also bought a bubble set. ( yay for bubbles! )

August 23rd – I went to Barnes and Noble on this day! I got two American Girl books, a Barbie book, stickers , erasers shaped liked ice pops, and a coloring book that came with markers. I was supposed to have the day off but I got called into work. At work I got this cute toy. It was a pretty good summer day.

August 25th – This was my last day to be 34. I was nervous to turn 35. I’m beyond thankful for every year that I’m blessed with but sometimes I feel like I have not accomplished enough and that makes me very uncomfortable. However, on this day I had some little bits of joy that made the day a little bit better. I went to Starbucks I got a coffee and a cake pop. I got the birthday cake pop since it was the day before my birthday. At work I got a set of soda flavored lip gloss. I also got a very cute squishmallow!

August 26 – This was the day that I tuned 35 ! At midnight a took a shot of whiskey. Having a drink at midnight is kind of a tradition of mine. I may not have felt ready to turn 35 but the day was here so decided to enjoy it and be thankful for the day. I celebrated the day by doing a few of my favorite things. I started my activities with a trip to a ceramics painting studio. I had a fun time painting a flamingo. I also went to TJ Maxx and Target. At TJ Maxx I got a lot of cute hair bows, a Squishmallow notebook, bear shaped crayons , a axolotl activity set and more. At Target I got the Squishmallow pillow that I had been wanting. I also got a Squishmallow bead kit, a set of rings, hair bows , stickers, and more! I went to Safeway and I chose a carrot cake as my birthday cake. That evening I went to eat at one of my favorite local places. I love the pizza there. I also love the arcade that they have. I got some cute prizes at the vending machines in the arcade. I also got a birthday win from the Mets! It was an amazing birthday.

August 27th – On this day I went to dinner with a friend. We went to a fancy place and I had a fun time taking pictures there. It felt like the restaurant was made to take photos in. The food was also good too.

August 29th – This day was employee shopping day at work. That means that employees get to shop with a larger discount than usual. I got stickers, ( including a set of mini sticker books. ) A fidget toy, and a Squishmallow building block set. I also got some snacks. It was a good employee shopping day.

August 30th – I took this day off of work because Labor Day weekend is one of the worst weekends for traffic and crowds. I knew work would be too stressful for me to handle so I requested the weekend off in advance. I did a cute foam dog craft project at home. I did go into town because I needed to pick up the art pieces that my mom and I had painted on my birthday. I made a stop at a nearby toy store and I got some color changing lizard toys and another squishy toy. Of course I got coffee as well. While I was in town I went to Safeway and I got ice cream before going back home. I was sad that summer was ending but at least I got to do some fun things on this day.

August 31 – This day was sad for me because it was the last day of August. This was the last day for me to cross things off my summer bucket list. The traffic was also very bad on this day. Beach traffic is one of my least favorite things in the world. I’m convinced that going to the beach is one of the most overrated things in the world. Anyways, I did make a quick stop to the Dollar Tree on this day. My favorite thing that I got was a package of shoe charms. I also got some beads, gel pens, crayons, a coloring book and more. I also went to starbucks and Trader Joe’s while I was out . I got stickers at Trader Joe’s. I love getting free stickers there. The big thing I did on this day was that I finished my summer 2025 drawing. I love my tradition of drawing a summer picture.

Thank you for reading about some of my August adventures!

The bucket list item I forgot about!

Hello, my bucket list, friends! This does not happen to me often, but I forgot to tell you about an item I crossed off my bucket list! I crossed one of the easier items off of my list, and that list item was to get a pair of jelly shoes! I’m a very nostalgic person, and since these shoes were very common when I was growing up, I wanted to get a pair for nostalgic reasons! I’m pretty sure I had a pair as a kid, and I was excited to have a pair as an adult. I ordered a pair of green jelly sandals from Amazon. Now, these shoes are made for style and not for comfort! They look great, but this is definitely not a shoe to wear when you have a lot of walking to do. However, I do love that I crossed this item off of my bucket list, and I love my green jelly shoes!

A few hours in Las Vegas

Hello, my bucket list, friends! Last summer I went to Las Vegas for the first time and I fell in love with the city. On the way back from Idaho, we stopped in Las Vegas for a few hours, and while it was very short, it was amazing. I can’t wait to tell you more about it, so let’s get to it.

August 13th – This was the day that we came back home from Idaho. I was excited because we got to spend a few hours in Las Vegas, but I really wanted to stay the night there. I love Las Vegas, and I was praying so hard that our flight would be canceled so we could have more time in the city that I fell in love with the year before. However, we did have enough time to go to the Shark Reef Aquarium. I had been wanting to visit this aquarium for a while, and I was very excited to have the chance to go. I really enjoyed the aquarium. There was so much to see here, including a giant lizard! There was also a touch tank. After exploring the aquarium, we ended up getting some much needed massages. It was great to get to relax for a bit. I was still praying that our flight would get canceled. Even when went back to the airport. At the airport, I did get some Las Vegas souvenirs. I also got some souvenirs at the aquarium . Our flight did get delayed, but it did not get canceled. I was said when I got on the airplane to go home, I was sad. However, I’m very thankful that I got the chance to go to Las Vegas again and that I got to go to the Shark Reef Aquarium.

Idaho trip August 2024

Hello, my bucket list, friends! In August, I went to visit my family in Idaho. While I was there, I did a lot of thrift shopping, visited a reptile zoo, and more. I can’t wait to tell you about all the fun I had in Idaho, so let’s get to it.

August 6th – This was the day that I arrived in Idaho. I was very happy to see my grandparents and their dog. I also went to Walmart, where I got some stickers that you color, markers, and some bracelets from a vending machine.

August 7th – On this day, I went thrift shopping at two different stores! Of course, I got some great items, including stickers, Barbie books, a bag of rubber ducks, and some plush toys. We also went to Burger King it was a good day!

August 8th – On this day, we went to frozen yogurt. One of the topping choices was freeze-dried Skittles. I put so many on my yogurt because they are expensive to buy in stores. I enjoyed my yogurt and later that night we went to savers. When we got there, we did not have a lot of time before the store closed, but I got some books, including an American Girl book that had stickers in it. I also got some stickers.

August 9th – On this day, my mom and I went to the Idaho reptile zoo. I highly recommend going here if you get the chance to. There are so many interesting reptiles here! I loved looking at all the snakes, lizards, and turtles. I also really enjoyed getting to feed huge tortoises. There are also some birds and fish here as well. We also went back to savers, and I made a quick visit to the thrift store next door. I got some more books, stickers, and a TY beanie baby.

August 10th – On this day, I got Starbucks and spent the day visiting family. This included getting to see some very cute animals, including cows.

August 11th – On this day, we had a family birthday party. We started by going out to lunch, and then we picked up a birthday cake and some other things before going back to the house for cake and ice cream. I also got some stickers and hot wheels cars at the store. It was great to have a party with my family it reminded me of the parties that we used to have.

August 12th – On this day, my mom, sister, and I went on an adventure to one attraction in Boise that I had not been to yet the old Idaho penitentiary. The tour was interesting and I do recommend it but it is definitely not for everyone. However, it is not often that you get a chance to visit a prison, so it was a good opportunity to go somewhere that I normally would not. I still prefer the zoo, though. I also went to Walmart again, and I got a color reveal Barbie, bath bombs, and stickers. I was our last full day in Idaho, and it was a good one.

Thank you for reading about my August Idaho adventure.

Other July 2024 highlights

Hello, my bucket list, friends! I’m going to do one more post about July before I do a thing I love post on a month that was pretty great for me. I realized that there were a few more things that I wanted to say about the month before I wrapped it up. Without any more delay, let’s get to it.

An evening at an amusement park

Hello, my bucket list, friends! I wanted to do a quick post about my visit to a local amusement in July . Every post helps me get a little closer to catching up with my blog. Let’s get to it!

July 22nd – On this day, I went to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. My goal was to cross off ride five rides at an amusement park from my summer bucket list. We went in the evening so we could get on rides at a discounted price. The Boardwalk was more crowded than I had anticipated, so it was more challenging to get on five rides than I thought it would be. However ,I was able to do exactly five rides. Those rides were the carousel , the sea swings, space race, tsunami, and sky glider. I also got some souvenirs, including a super cute plush bear, and I also got pizza! I’m going to be honest the long lines made it kind of difficult to fully enjoy the night, but it was overall a good summer night. This is a really great amusement park that I highly recommend going to, but make sure to visit during a less busy time so you can get to experience all the rides here that you want to.

After Missouri but before my mall weekend

Hello, my bucket list, friends! I’m still trying to get caught up with my blog posts! I’m feeling much better than I have been because, unfortunately, I got bronchitis, but now I have much more energy to do things like go to work and write blog posts! This blog post is about the time in between coming back from Missouri but before I did mall weekend tradition. I did not do a lot doing this time, but I thought it was still worth sharing. Here we go!

June 16th

Today was Fathers Day. My family went to lunch to celebrate. We went to a restaurant that I had not been to before. It was really good and I had a good time with my family. After lunch I went to work. At work, I got a summer themed coloring book. It was an overall good day.

June 17th – There is not much to say about this day but I went to work and bought a Hot Wheels car.

June 18th – Coffee and work! Oh, and I bought a light up ball at work!

June 19th – My friend and I hung out on this day. We went to my favorite local thrift store. I got some really cool Barbie dolls. I also got the really cute craft kit where you make your own plush smore. After thrift shopping, we went to Starbucks! It was a good summer day.

June 20th – Another work day I bought a plastic lollypop that has squishy toys in it from work!
