Drawing a summer picture!

Hello, my bucket list friends! Back in 2010 I started drawing a picture to celebrate summer. I did miss 2011 but other than that I’ve been doing it ever since. Today was the day I drew this year’s picture. I used colored pencils and crayons for this year’s picture. I’m really happy with the way my picture looks. I was just kind of making things up as I went when I drew this picture. However, I’m very happy to have this drawing as a part of my art collection.

Colorful and creative drawings!

Hello,my bucket list friends! In addition to blogging drawing is one of my favorite things to do. Recently I drew two more pictures in my sketch book. I’m pretty happy with both of them. One of them was based on the rain storm that we had over the weekend. I drew a fun umbrella with rain drops and rain clouds. The other picture was of a snail. I don’t know why exactly but I really love drawing snails. With this drawing I used many colors for the snail to give it a fun look. Since we are on the topic some of my other favorite things to draw are balloons, flowers, coffee mugs, ice cream cones, birds, and trees. I find drawing very relaxing and I hope to share more drawings with you soon.

Thanks for reading!

Light Heart book club discussion September 2020

Hello, my bucket list friends! It’s time for this month’s book club discussion! I had a fun time reading this book. Our book for this month was Marshmallow Mystery by Helen Perelman. As always just one more thing before we dive into our discussion. The following post contains major plot points ( Spoilers ) for the book . If you want to read the book and haven’t yet, I suggest you wait to read this post until you have finished the book. Now, let’s dive into our discussion!

My favorite part of the book – I was so happy when the candy fairies found Mallow their owl friend. Mallow had some important information that helped the fairies solve the mystery.

My least favorite part of the book- I felt really bad for the fairies especially Raina when they realized that their fairy code book was missing. It’s never a good feeling when you lose something important.

Before we get into this month’s activities. I just have to say that this was a really fun book to read! I have another Candy Fairies book and I hope to read it soon.

Art activities- This month I did two different art projects to go along with this book. For the first project I made a foam gingerbread house from a kit that I got at a thrift store. I had a fun time decorating the house. I think the candy fairies would be right at home in this house.

For my second art activity I did something very simple but also very fun ! I drew colorful and fun candy picture! I had a good time drawing lollypops and gumdrops!

Thank you for reading this month’s book club discussion! Happy reading.

My very own puzzle!

Hello, my bucket list friends ! At summer camp many years ago I remember doing a make your on puzzle activity and really enjoying it. A while ago I bought my own blank puzzle to decorate. Yesterday I decided to turn my blank puzzle into a work of art. I can’t wait to tell you about my own personalized puzzle so here we go !

My very own puzzle!

The blank puzzle had been sitting on my arts and crafts shelf for awhile and I decided that yesterday was the day to turn it from blank to colorful. I chose to use sharpie markers to decorate my puzzle. I wan’st sure what to draw at first . I was deciding between an under water seen and a classic sunny day seen. I decided on a sunny day picture it was a sunny day after all! I started by drawing a smiling sunshine in the corner. After that my creativity went wild as I drew flowers, balloons, butterflies, and more ! As I worked to fill up as much blank space as possible I began to love my puzzle more and more! It was a bit difficult to draw on the puzzle pieces where they connected but overall I really enjoyed making my own puzzle and I love the way it turned out. I would totally buy another blank puzzle. If you are looking for a fun and easy project to do I highly recommend this. I got mine at Michaels but they are available other places as well. Rock On – Christina Epperly
