My 32nd birthday weekend!

Hello,my bucket list friends! On Friday I turned 32! I did a lot to celebrate and I can’t wait to tell you about it. I started my celebration by staying up so I could have a drink at midnight. It is kind of a tradition of mine. After a quick drink I went to sleep. I started off the morning like I always do by going to Starbucks. I had on a 90s Barbie party hat that I got from Poshmark. I go to that Starbucks all the time so when the employees saw my party hat they wished me a happy birthday. At work the kids were so nice. They wished me happy birthday many times during the day. They even gave me artwork as birthday gifts. I also got a card, flowers and cake from my boss and coworkers. I brought cookies to share with everyone. After work my mom picked me up and we went to Savers. As always when I go thrift shopping, I hoped I would find a cart full of treasures. However, I didn’t find that much this time. I am happy with the things I did find though. I got two Barbie dolls, four Beanie Babies a Barbie bag, a shirt and a good amount of books. After thrift shopping and a quick stop at home we went to dinner. I decided to go to a place that has arcade games. I love playing the claw game here because I usually win a prize. This time was no different I won two squishy toys. It was a pretty good birthday. The next day it was time for my birthday weekend adventure to start. My mom and I left that morning and headed to Piont Reys. We did have some stops along the way including Starbucks and Goodwill. At this Goodwill I got three things. A Melissa and Doug craft kit, a bead kit from the 90s, and a little carousel horse. Our first adventure in the Point Reys area was to check out the shipwreck in Inverness. This shipwreck is how Point Reys got its name because that was the name of the ship. It was a very interesting thing to see. I got a lot of great pictures. I’m glad I went to see it. The next stop was the Point Reyes lighthouse. This place turned out to be very crowded. The light house was cute but it was going to close soon. It’s a long way down to the lighthouse and it is pretty difficult to climb back up to the top. I was going back up as fast as I could so I could get to the visitor center before it closed. I got to the visitor center just as the looked the door. I was very disappointed. However, even though I didn’t know it yet things were about to turn around. We decided to had to Drakes beach next. I knew that they had a visitor center but they also have a store there as well. There was a sign said that their store was already closed but it turned out that it was open. The visitor closed while I was in the store but I was happy to get some souvenires and explore the beach. I  also got a map of Point Reys. I had fun exploring the beautiful beach and as a bonus it was not  crowded at all. After spending sometime at a beautiful beach my mood had completely turned around. After the beach we went to explore the cypress tree tunnel. This is a beautiful place to take pictures. At the end of the tunnel you will find a building that is home to a radio station. I really liked exploring this area. Near the building we found a fallen tree and you could see the roots. After a day full of exploring we checked in our hotel that was located in San Rafael. The next morning we met my sister for breakfast. After a very good breakfast we walked around a little bit and visited a book store. It was a pretty great birthday weekend.

My wonderful birthday weekend :)

Hello,my bucket list friends! My birthday was on Thursday August 26th. However, I kept the celebration going into the weekend. I spent the weekend in the Monterey area with my family. My mom and I drove there on Friday evening and stayed in a hotel. The next morning we were ready for adventure! We started off our day of adventure with the seventeen mile drive. I have done this drive before but I enjoyed it a lot and wanted to do it again. It does cost to go on the drive but to me it is worth it. There are a lot of wonderful views and plenty of photo opportunities along the way. The lone cypress and the house know as the gingerbread house are two of my favorite things to see along seventeen mile drive. After a truly beautiful drive ,we went to the Cannery Row antique mall. This antique mall is two stories and it is packed full of things to see. I bought some great items here including a 1980s button from Disney World . Other items I got were McDonald’s Barbie toys, Disney World magnets, a Disneyland pen and a McDonald’s beanie baby toy. After antique shopping we went souvenir shopping. My favorite souvenires I got are a plush otter with a Monterey sweatshirt on and a visor that says Monterey on it. There is a free trolley that you can take around Monterey I had fun riding it. It’s cute on the inside and out. It almost feels like the vehicles that they have at Disneyland. My mom and I went through the Monterey mirror maze on Cannery Row. We did a similar maze in mall of America. These mazes are fun to take pictures in. They are challenging without being impossible. I hope to do more mazes like this. We also spent some time at the beach.I took a good picture of a sea lion. After the beach, I got to visit a place in Monterey that I have always wanted to visit. Dennis the menace park. This is one of the cutest playgrounds I have ever seen. Some of the things this playground had to offer were a roller slide, a sun shaped bridge and a rock climbing wall. I really want to go back to this playground and spend more time there. After all that adventure we met my dad for dinner. He was diving at the beach that day. After eating a yummy dinner,my mom and I went to old fishermen’s wharf. I went to a candy store there and I got a lot of taffy! Later that night my sister came to the hotel and brought me the best birthday cake ever. I chose this ice cream melting cake from my Pintrest profile and it tasted as amazing as it looked. The next day my mom, sister and I drove to the big Sur area. We had lunch then we explored Phifer Beach. The beach was really amazing. It had some truly beautiful caves and it also had some purple sand! It was one of the best birthday celebrations I’ve ever had!
