Blogmas day 13 wooden gingerbread house

Hello, my bucket list friends ! As I write this I’m standing in a long line to get into whole foods. So I thought now would be a good time to catch up on my blogmas posts.  I was looking through my craft kits and I found this super cute wooden gingerbread house craft kit. This kit included wooden gingerbread people in addition to the house. It also came with markers to color the wooden pieces. The small markers that came with this kit worked surprisingly well. They didn’t run out of color as used them to decorate the wooden pieces. I enjoyed doing this craft kit and I’m happy with they way it looks. Have you ever done a craft kit similar to this one ?

Mess free glitter art !?

Hello, my bucket list friends! Monday I did one of my favorite and much needed stress relieving activities art! I decided to look through a bunch of my art and craft kits and chose one. I decided to do a craft kit that was different for the ones I useally do. This Melissa and Doug craft kit said that it made mess free glitter art. If you are a fan of arts and crafts you know that mess free and glitter are two things that normally don’t go together. I was curious to see how this would work out. It took me a little while to figure out how this kit worked but once I did it was a lot of fun! The kit came with two pictures that you decorated the glitter sheets that came with the kit. The pictures had stickers that you removed then you pressed the glitter sheets on to sticky part that the sticker covered. A few times I accidentally used the wrong side of the glitter sheets but luckily I was able to recover from that mistake. In my opinion the kit really lived up to it’s promise of mess free glitter art. I was really happy with the way the art turned out and now that I know how to use these kits I would love to do more in the future!

Hello Bat!

Hello, my bucket list friends! I recently completed a fun craft kit. This kit came from CVS. It was a pretty simple kit where you painted a ceramic bat but the bat is also a magnet! This kit came with three colors of paint but I also used other paints that I had to paint the bat. This was a very quick art project but it was also a lot of fun. Also I just have to say that the bat is so cute! I would love to do more magnet kits like this.

Light Heart book club discussion September 2020

Hello, my bucket list friends! It’s time for this month’s book club discussion! I had a fun time reading this book. Our book for this month was Marshmallow Mystery by Helen Perelman. As always just one more thing before we dive into our discussion. The following post contains major plot points ( Spoilers ) for the book . If you want to read the book and haven’t yet, I suggest you wait to read this post until you have finished the book. Now, let’s dive into our discussion!

My favorite part of the book – I was so happy when the candy fairies found Mallow their owl friend. Mallow had some important information that helped the fairies solve the mystery.

My least favorite part of the book- I felt really bad for the fairies especially Raina when they realized that their fairy code book was missing. It’s never a good feeling when you lose something important.

Before we get into this month’s activities. I just have to say that this was a really fun book to read! I have another Candy Fairies book and I hope to read it soon.

Art activities- This month I did two different art projects to go along with this book. For the first project I made a foam gingerbread house from a kit that I got at a thrift store. I had a fun time decorating the house. I think the candy fairies would be right at home in this house.

For my second art activity I did something very simple but also very fun ! I drew colorful and fun candy picture! I had a good time drawing lollypops and gumdrops!

Thank you for reading this month’s book club discussion! Happy reading.

Fun bucket list art !!

Hello,my bucket list friends! I’m excited to tell you that I’ve crossed another item off my bucket list ! This item was pretty easy to cross off and it was also a lot of fun! Without anymore delay let’s dive on in!

Fun Bucket list art !!

The item that I recently crossed off is number 231 make a sharpie tie-dye shirt. I saw this craft on Pinterest and I thought that it would be a fun addition to my list. For this craft all I needed was a white shirt , Sharpie markers and rubbing alcohol. I started off by drawing on the shirt. I let my imagination run wild. I loved how colorful the shirt was when I finished drawing on it. Then it was time to spray the shirt with rubbing alcohol to make the colors spread out like tie-dye. As I sprayed the shirt I noticed that some colors seemed to spread out more than others. I probably should have done this project outside because when I sprayed the shirt it soaked through the blanket on my bed. Anyways I like the way the shirt looks and I’m glad I did this art project. Thanks for reading!

Three craft kits one day !

Hello, my bucket list friends! I’m very excited to announce that yesterday I crossed another item off my bucket list. The item that I crossed off is #228 do three Melissa and Doug craft kits in one day!  I’m exited to tell you more about my crafting adventure so let’s get to it!

Three craft kits one day !

For this bucket list item I ordered three Melissa and Doug craft kits from Amazon. I wanted the kits to be different from each other so I chose a decoupage cat, a wooden race car kit and a sand art kit. The first kit I opened was the decoupage cat. This kit came with a cardboard cat figure, stickers, glue and some items to decorate the cat with one the glue was dry. The first step for this project was to cover the cat with the stickers. The stickers came in a bunch of different styles. I really liked the dot stickers. Once the stickers were covering the cat it was time to cover the cat in the sparkly glue. When I was reading the instructions I noticed that it would take a few hours for the glue to dry. I’m glad I started with this kit first. The next kit I opened was the wooden race car craft. The first step was to put the wheels on the car. The kit came with glue to use for the wheels but when I snapped the wheels in to place they stayed on so I decided to skip the gluing part. Then it was time to paint the car. I used the yellow and blue paints for my car but there are other colors in this kit. The next step was to put on the stickers that came in the kit but I had to let the paint dry first so I moved on to the sand art kit. This kit came with three bottles of different shapes ,lots of colorful sands , corks to close up the bottles and other tools. I found this craft kit to be the most relaxing . There is something soothing about pouring sand in to bottles. I was happy with the way all three bottles of sand turned out but the rectangle one is my favorite. After the sand craft I put some stickers on my race car. Later that night I finished the cat craft by adding the eye stickers and the ribbon.  I enjoyed my little craft kit adventure. I wonder what craft kit I’ll do next !

Wooden flip flop art

Hello, my bucket list friends! The last time I went to the Dollar Tree I got this wooden flip decoration art kit. It’s a very simple kit where you just use the little markers that come with the kit to color the wooden flip flip picture. I found the overall design of the flip flops to be very cute. I especially love the little seashell detail on the flip flops. The markers that came with the kit worked well to color the wooden picture. When I was done coloring  the main parts of the the flip flops I decided to make a bunch of little marks in different colors to give the flip flops a look that was both colorful and fun! I enjoyed this simple summer craft kit .
