Taking walks, taking pictures, making a mess, and drinking coffee

Hello, my bucket list, friends! January seemed to go by pretty fast, but here we are in February, and it seems to be dragging slowly by at times. It’s probably partly due to the cold. I’m a summer girl. I’m not a huge fan of the cold and having to bundle up. Don’t get me wrong. This is an important season, but I would rather have sunshine and flipflops. I’m looking forward to the summer, and I hope time starts to pick up a bit and then slows down again when the summertime gets here. I have big plans for the summer so I have to stop my spending for a while to save up and that is already frustrating me. Anyways I should probably stop ranting and get on with the post. I started this post so I could write about what I did yesterday. I had the day off yesterday, and I stayed home for most of the day. I posted an article on Vocal Media. ( You can read it HERE ) I was also watching my neighbor’s dog, so we went on a walk. On our walk, I took a bunch of photos, including one of a deer. It is not a very good picture because the deer was kind of faraway, but I’m happy I got to see it. Walks are good for my health, so I was kind of glad that the dog made me get out and walk. Later on in the day, I got a craft kit from my room and brought it up to the table. It was a craft kit where you put colorful gems on plastic figures. I ended up getting frustrated with how hard it was to put the gemstones on that I just ended up dumping the gems on the plastic figure that I had chosen. It made a big mess, but I’m ok with how the project turned out, but I won’t be buying any more kits like this in the future. The highlight of yesterday was going to Starbucks. After Starbucks, I went on another walk. It was an okay day overall, and I’m glad I learned more about what kinds of craft kits not to buy!

Thanks for reading!

Self care weekend

Hello, my bucket list friends! My stress level has be high lately so I decided to make this a self care weekend. Today is Sunday and can officially say that I have a sore throat and that I’m feeling pretty out of it. I’m not surprised because there has been something going around at my work. I’m happy to say though that it wasn’t till last night I started to feel off so I did enjoy my Friday night and Saturday. On Friday evening I did one of my favorite things. I took a bubble bath with two bath bombs. The bath bombs I used were Christmas themed and they both had prizes in them. I also printed out some coloring pages from Crayola on Friday. If you’re looking for some great coloring pages to print. I highly recommend going to Crayola’s website. Yesterday, I continued to do some of my favorite things to help me de-stress. I went to a local thrift store to see what I could find. This thrift store has shorter hours then the big name stores but I have been trying to visit this store more often. I bought a few fun things including a Barbie doll and a Build a Bear reindeer plush. I also got a very cute Coca-Cola polar bear plush. While we were in town we also went to Starbucks for coffee. Coffee is one of my favorite drinks. When we got home my mom and I went on a walk. The weather was perfect for one. Later that evening we went to a family members house for game night! That brings us today. I plan to spend today relaxing and writing another one of my favorite things.

Don’t let the rain keep you from the park!

Hello, my bucket list friends! It’s not raining today but for the past two days it has been. Also for the past two days I have gone for a walk in the park. Oftentimes I let the rain keep me from going outside. However lately I’ve come to the realization that as long as it’s safe to go outside meaning no lightning ,high winds or other unsafe conditions, Going outside in the rain can be just as fun as going out in the sun. One major benefit of going out when it’s raining is that outdoor spaces are a lot less crowded and I’ve learned that walking in the rain is just as relaxing as walking in the sun as long as it’s not raining too hard that is .

Hello March !!

Hello, my bucket list friends and happy March ! I don’t know about all of you but I’m ready for some warmer weather and clear sky. I don’t really have any plans this month except for getting my taxes done and continuing to give great massages at my new job. Yesterday ,I welcomed this new month by having a good day at work ,getting coffee, going on a nice walk and shopping at whole Foods . My hopes for this month are warmer weather, more massage clients and crossing of at least one more bucket list item. I don’t have any list items planned for this month but you never know what will happen !! I hope all of you have an awesome March !

Super Run 5k February 2018

Hello ,My bucket list friends ! One of my goals for 2018 is to get back into doing 5k races. I’m happy to say that I recently did my first race of the year it was a really fun! Keep reading to hear all about it !

Super Run 5k February 17th 2018

I really enjoy doing 5k races but it had been a while since I had done one because I was in massage school for a year . Now that I have more time I’m excited to get back into doing something I love . The day of the race I was excited and ready to go . As you might have guessed the race had a super hero theme. A lot of the racers dressed up in some really fun and creative costumes but I stuck to my workout pants and a purple shirt . I was doing the race with my mom and we both wanted to walk the 5k so we stayed together during the race . The race was held at a beautiful park that I had been to before but I had never done a race at . The was a lot of great scenery to look at as my mom and I fast walked our way through the race . When we got close to the finish I ran across the finish line ! I was so happy to get my awesome finisher’s medal . Not all 5k races give out finishers medals but I love when they do and that was one of the reasons that I chose this race . I had a great time with my mom at the Super 5k and I can’t wait until I get to do another one !

January 2018 wrap up!

Hello, bucket list friends since January is ending soon I thought I would do a quick wrap up on the first month of 2018. I’ve been working on somethings this month and I can’t wait to tell you all about it so here we go!

My life in January 2018

January always seems to go by slowly for me. There does not seem to be a lot happening in January and the month just drags on. Also, the gloomy weather can cause me to become depressed. I discovered a long time ago that walking is a great way to improve my mood and that is what I have been doing a lot of this month. I have been on many walks this month and some even on sunny days! Two of my favorite walks that I took this month were the one by the beach and the one to the pond on a trail that had been closed for a long time, It felt good to go on that trail again. I also started working on one of my more long-term bucket list items #195 read 100 books in one year this month I read 8 books, so I’m off to a great start. I’ve also been doing a lot of writing this month I’ve started writing a fiction story The Unschooled Dairy of Aspen Roads (you can read it here

). I plan to do a lot more fiction writing this year and I have been working on two other books that I have not posted. I’ve also spent some great times with family and friends this month and as you can tell from my last blog post I dyed my hair green and that was bucket list item #166 I also booked my vacation for this summer and the destination is on my bucket list, I signed up for a 5k next month as well!   To top it all off today a whole box of my little pony toys that I won from eBay arrived today, I had so much fun looking through all the ponies. January might not usually be a very fun month but this time I feel like I turned that around, I mean I crossed off a list item and I had some great friend time! I did face some obstacles month but overall the year is off to a great start .
