Two fun art kits and more designs in my Red Bubble store!

Hello, my bucket list, friends! Yesterday, I did two art kits that were both from Walmart. One of them I got on Sunday, the other one I had gotten a while ago. The first one I did was a simple color, your own magnet kit. The magnet in this kit was shaped like a rainbow that had a cloud at each end. The kit came with three markers, but I wanted to use all the colors of the rainbow was I also used some markers that I already had. I really love simple craft kits like this. They are relaxing and fun. After the rainbow, I opened up the second art kit. This kit was a paint your own sun catcher kit that was in the shape of an owl. I enjoyed doing this art kit as well, but I wish it would have come with some brighter colors of paint. I will probably buy more art kits from Walmart in the future. Now, for the second part of this blog post. I’m really excited to say that I have been adding more designs to my Red Bubble store lately. I have gotten into doing digital art, and I have been inspired by the store that I work in, so you can expect to see some houseplant inspired based designs. Click HERE to see my store!

Trying juicy pear water and making art with a wonderful craft kit

Hello, my bucket list! Today, I have another drink review, plus I also opened this vary large craft kit that has been sitting in my room for a while. I am excited to tell you about it, so let’s get to it!

Jelly Belly juicy pear sparkling water

I got this water at CVS last Saturday. I have had Jelly Belly’s waters before, but I had not tried the juicy pear flavor. I was excited to try a new flavor. I tried this drink yesterday and I really like it. It tastes like drinking a juicy pear jelly bean, but without the sugar. I would definitely buy this flavor again. I really enjoyed the taste.

Paint kit

Last year I won this huge paint kit at a raffle. I had not gotten around to opening it up, so I decided that yesterday was the day! This kit came with so much paint! It also came with a lot of different ceramics that you could choose to paint. I painted the cupcake and then the rainbow. I had a lot of fun painting both of them. I’m really glad that I decided to open this art kit yesterday. I love my colorful rainbow and cupcake!

Thanks for reading about my latest adventures!

bird house painting fun!

Hello,my bucket list friends! I’m home from work today because I have a ganglion cyst on my foot that makes it painful to walk. I decided to use some of the extra time I had today to do one of the craft kits that I’ve been wanting to do. I bought this bird house craft kit  at Five Below. In addition to the supplies that were in the kit I used some paint and paint brushes that I already had. I decided to do this craft kit outside to avoid any extra clean up. As soon as I started painting I felt relaxed. I loved picking out the colors and deciding where I wanted to put the.I’m very pleased with my colorful  bird house. I wonder what craft kit I will make next?

Painting magnets and a tea set

Hello, my buck list friends! I buy so many craft kits and can’t keep up with all of them. However I recently completed two of them. One was a kit where you paint your own wooden magnets the other one was a tiny tea set that you could paint. I love doing craft kits where you can paint an object without having to build or make anything first. Of course there’s nothing wrong with building or making something it can be a lot of fun. I just like to dive right into the painting part. The wooden magnets were all sea animals. It was fun to paint the smiling sea creatures and I really like the way they turned out. I got this craft kit at Savers and I’m very happy that I did. The next craft kit I got at a local toy store. I remember getting a craft kit similar to this when I was younger but that one was a larger tea set. This one was so tiny and cute. I decided to paint smiley faces on the tea set along with some dots. I like mixing colors when. I paint and I thinks it makes things look really cool. I wonder what arts and craft kit I will do next ?

Jelly fish craft kit !

I got this very cute jellyfish craft kit at Michael’s. when I decided to use it, I didn’t know if I would need glue or any other components to put the jellyfish together. It was easy to put together and the jelly fish are super cute!

Pumpkin decorating!

Hello, my bucket list friends I recently finished decorating two pumpkins that I got at the pumpkin patch. I had a fun time decorating them and I can’t wait to tell you all about it. Let’s get to it!

Pumpkin decorating

For my first pumpkin I decided to paint it with the blue and green paint that I got from Michaels. I had fun covering my pumpkin in dots! This is a very simple but very fun way to decorate. I also painted some lines going down the pumpkin. I really liked the overall look of this pumpkin when I finished it. For the next pumpkin I decorated it using a bag of wooden beads from the Dollar Tree. I simply glued the colorful wooden beads on to the pumpkin using my hot glue gun. I decided to do a circle of beads around the top of the pumpkin. Then I used the beads to make a happy face on the pumpkin. I had a lot of fun with this pumpkin decorating project ! Are you decorating pumpkins this year?

Mess free glitter art !?

Hello, my bucket list friends! Monday I did one of my favorite and much needed stress relieving activities art! I decided to look through a bunch of my art and craft kits and chose one. I decided to do a craft kit that was different for the ones I useally do. This Melissa and Doug craft kit said that it made mess free glitter art. If you are a fan of arts and crafts you know that mess free and glitter are two things that normally don’t go together. I was curious to see how this would work out. It took me a little while to figure out how this kit worked but once I did it was a lot of fun! The kit came with two pictures that you decorated the glitter sheets that came with the kit. The pictures had stickers that you removed then you pressed the glitter sheets on to sticky part that the sticker covered. A few times I accidentally used the wrong side of the glitter sheets but luckily I was able to recover from that mistake. In my opinion the kit really lived up to it’s promise of mess free glitter art. I was really happy with the way the art turned out and now that I know how to use these kits I would love to do more in the future!

Light Heart book club discussion September 2020

Hello, my bucket list friends! It’s time for this month’s book club discussion! I had a fun time reading this book. Our book for this month was Marshmallow Mystery by Helen Perelman. As always just one more thing before we dive into our discussion. The following post contains major plot points ( Spoilers ) for the book . If you want to read the book and haven’t yet, I suggest you wait to read this post until you have finished the book. Now, let’s dive into our discussion!

My favorite part of the book – I was so happy when the candy fairies found Mallow their owl friend. Mallow had some important information that helped the fairies solve the mystery.

My least favorite part of the book- I felt really bad for the fairies especially Raina when they realized that their fairy code book was missing. It’s never a good feeling when you lose something important.

Before we get into this month’s activities. I just have to say that this was a really fun book to read! I have another Candy Fairies book and I hope to read it soon.

Art activities- This month I did two different art projects to go along with this book. For the first project I made a foam gingerbread house from a kit that I got at a thrift store. I had a fun time decorating the house. I think the candy fairies would be right at home in this house.

For my second art activity I did something very simple but also very fun ! I drew colorful and fun candy picture! I had a good time drawing lollypops and gumdrops!

Thank you for reading this month’s book club discussion! Happy reading.

Three craft kits one day !

Hello, my bucket list friends! I’m very excited to announce that yesterday I crossed another item off my bucket list. The item that I crossed off is #228 do three Melissa and Doug craft kits in one day!  I’m exited to tell you more about my crafting adventure so let’s get to it!

Three craft kits one day !

For this bucket list item I ordered three Melissa and Doug craft kits from Amazon. I wanted the kits to be different from each other so I chose a decoupage cat, a wooden race car kit and a sand art kit. The first kit I opened was the decoupage cat. This kit came with a cardboard cat figure, stickers, glue and some items to decorate the cat with one the glue was dry. The first step for this project was to cover the cat with the stickers. The stickers came in a bunch of different styles. I really liked the dot stickers. Once the stickers were covering the cat it was time to cover the cat in the sparkly glue. When I was reading the instructions I noticed that it would take a few hours for the glue to dry. I’m glad I started with this kit first. The next kit I opened was the wooden race car craft. The first step was to put the wheels on the car. The kit came with glue to use for the wheels but when I snapped the wheels in to place they stayed on so I decided to skip the gluing part. Then it was time to paint the car. I used the yellow and blue paints for my car but there are other colors in this kit. The next step was to put on the stickers that came in the kit but I had to let the paint dry first so I moved on to the sand art kit. This kit came with three bottles of different shapes ,lots of colorful sands , corks to close up the bottles and other tools. I found this craft kit to be the most relaxing . There is something soothing about pouring sand in to bottles. I was happy with the way all three bottles of sand turned out but the rectangle one is my favorite. After the sand craft I put some stickers on my race car. Later that night I finished the cat craft by adding the eye stickers and the ribbon.  I enjoyed my little craft kit adventure. I wonder what craft kit I’ll do next !
