Hello, my bucket list, friends! Summer is almost here! I’m very excited to start my summer bucket list game on June 1st. This weekend was Memorial Day weekend. It is an important time to remember and honor those who died to protect the people of America. I took this weekend off from work due to the stress of working on holiday weekends. I had an overall relaxing time off, including spending a day with my friend. I can’t wait to tell you more about it, so let’s get to it!
Friday 5/23/2025 – On this day, I went to work before my three days off began. It was an employee shopping day where we get a larger discount than we normally do. I got a few things, but my favorites are a summer coloring book and a package of glow sticks.
Saturday 5/24/2025 – I spent this day with my friend. We had a great time catching up with each other. We went to the Dollar Tree and Target along with a bunch of other places. We even went on two walks! At the Dollar Tree, I got some summer decorations, bath bombs with prizes, beads , a Barbie dot to dot book, a surprise toy, summer cups, and more. At Target I got two summer themed duck toys and a craft kit. I also ate way more junk food than I should have. It was a great day.
Sunday 5/25/ 2025 – On this day, I went to church, and there was a wonderful BBQ afterward. I had a great time being social and eating some good food. I also enjoyed some time outside in the sunshine. It was a good day.
Monday 5/26/2025 – Today was Memorial Day. Words can not express how thankful I am to live in America and how thankful I am to those who fought for our freedom.
I stayed home most of the day. However, I did go out to get coffee, but the traffic was so bad due to people coming back from the beach! It makes me so mad when people insist on creating horrible traffic on the weekends and holidays during the summertime. I got my coffee, but I had to sit in unnecessary traffic.
So that was my Memorial Day weekend. I hope all of you had a blessed weekend.
Love, Christina Epperly.
